Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary. Let's all stand as we invite David out. Lord, prepare me to be a [Music] sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. And with thanksgiving, I'll be a livinging sanuary. [Music] [Music] Oh. [Music] So every day my heart will praise him. I know I'll never be the same. All I want to do is love him. Love his holy name. Oh, all I want to do is love him. So glad I feel his love for me. Jesus paid the price of redemption. Oh, on the cross of Calary. So every day my heart will praise him. I know I'll never be the same. All I want to do is love him. Love his holy name. Amen. God bless you everyone. It's good to be with you all. You can be seated for just a little bit as someone gets me some water, please. Getting a bit of feedback up here from the sound. Thank you, musicians. Let's remember in prayer mom and dad traveling home Saturday from Canada that everything goes well and to pick them up in Nashville as well. It's good to have everyone here. It's good to have cousin Joe with us. God bless you. Welcome and welcome to our online audience, too. Thomas, can you grab me Josh's pick, please? Need a different pick. Sarah, can you grab me one of mine, please? That one? Yes. The thick pick. Thank you. [Music] It's good to have everyone here and certainly I always count it an honor and a privilege to be here. Like to sing a song as we started here. [Music] If there ever was a time I needed you before, I need you now. And if there ever was a trial I couldn't handle on my own, that's how this feels somehow. And if there ever was a child crying out for help, that's what the song is [Music] about. If there ever was a time I needed you before, Lord, I need you [Music] now. If there ever was a time I needed you before, L would I need you [Music] now? If I've ever had a friend who's always kept his word, Lord, I know it's you. I have never been alone. Oh, you've never been [Music] untrue. If I know anything, you will meet my needs like you always [Music] do. I'm leaning on your love, depending on your grace just to make it through. [Music] Lord, I need you to remind me how faithful you have been. And when I'm at my weakest, that's where your strength begins. [Music] And if there ever was a time I needed you before, Lord, I need you now. If I've ever had a trial I couldn't handle on my own, that's how this feels [Music] somehow. If there ever was a child crying out for help, that's what this song is about. If there ever was a time I needed you, Lord, I need you now. [Music] Amen. Man, isn't that true? If there ever was a time, Lord, we need him now. Amen. Let's all stand. We'll be turning in our Bibles to 2 Timothy chapter 4 and verse starting with verse one down to verse 7. 2 Timothy chapter 4 and verse 1 to verse 7. Can you say amen when you're there? 2 Timothy 4 verse 1. I charge thee before God be and the Lord Jesus Christ who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing in his kingdom. Preach the word, be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine. But after after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears, and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things. Endure afflictions do the work of of an evangelist. Make full proof of thy ministry. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. May the Lord add his blessings to the reading of his word. As we bow our heads, gracious Lord, we come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We thank you for the opportunity to preach your word and be instant in season, out of season and reprove, rebuke with all longsuffering and doctrine. Lord, I ask that you speak yourself. My voice is insufficient, but I give what I have to you. And I know that this is not a matter of whether or not you will show up, but whether or not I will have faith that you are here, because you are. We give all these things to you and we ask that you'd speak to us, Lord, speaker and audience alike. Help us to have ears to hear in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. God bless you. You may be seated. It's good to be with with you all and I always come in honor and a privilege to be here preaching to the bride of the Lord Jesus Christ of course. Amen. So I'm continuing the thought of the series of undefeated battleground part seven. So this is part seven and it is tonight on an attitude of I'm here to win. Attitude I'm here to win. So the definition of attitude is a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something typically one that is reflected in a person's behavior. A position of the body proper to or implying an action or mental state. Cambridge says a feeling or opinion about something or someone in a or a way of behaving that is caused by this. It's often very difficult to change people's attitudes. I'd say that's for the positive and the negative. And we've already talked about different things at the different parts. We preached about the outer gates, the inner gates, prayer, meaning of life, growth through suffering, the daily spiritual routine. But I want to say that none of that matters. And you can put out a uh a a counterfeit of all those things if you have the wrong attitude. And Satan's program is to challenge us at every step. You can grow to a certain point and then he wants you to stay there. That God's program is to constantly be growing and changing. Satan's program is to get saved and stay there. Uh get delivered and stay there. Get do whatever you do, but stay there. Never be in a position to grow. Brother Brandham said in expectations 1961, "And if God's word is no good, then he is no good. He is no better than his word." And I'll say this that God keeps every word that he said and every promise that he said, and if you'll take the right mental attitude toward any divine towards any divine promise God ever made, he will bring it to pass. If you can just take the right attitude and and believe it with all your hearts. See, and in the resurrection of Jesus 1956, Brother Brandham said, "And if you notice, it's when you are discouraged. That's when the devil can really pour it on you." That's when he gets you. If you come to the church and say, "Well, I don't know. I don't know whether I'll ever get any better or not. I've been prayed for twice. Oh my, you might as well just go home. That's all." But when you can cast that aside, God don't want you to be frowning. God wants you to be happy. The human heart was made to be happy. Worry will cause cancer. Temper will cause cancer. That wasn't brother Brandham's idea. That is a real thing from WebMD. Temper. Worry will cause cancer. Temper will cause cancer. Don't never be upset. Just walk in his love. Amen. Knowing that you're walking in him and nothing can harm you. There's nothing can harm you. And I believe that that isn't a meaningless statement or something we can't do. We can actually get to a point where we're almost never upset or that we are never upset because initial reactions are normal, but continued reactions are up to us. You break your arm. Ah, that's normal. But what you continue to do with that action is up to you. Your friend dies, your mom dies, whatever, that's initially hard on you. But your continued attitude, that's up to you. He said, just walk in his love. Amen. Knowing that you're walking in him, and nothing can harm you. There's nothing can harm you. There's neither powers, things present, things future. Nothing can separate us from him. We're in him, and we never come in by our own will. He by choice elected us and brought us into him. Amen. So, it's his business to take care of what he's took himself. No man can pluck them from my father's hands because he's the greatest of all of them. Amen. It's the father who takes care of it care of it. Who's got any more power than God? So what kind of a power have you got over you to take care of you? The whole powers that created the universes. Amen. That took the solar system and few blue that and every star went to his place. Sure. And he watches over you. Amen. That's the kind of of father that we have. Amen. So in the world we can see examples of the attitude of people have. I'm here to win. And I like sports because I believe that they are people believing in a cause of winning and they do this action of this sport and they're almost psychologically weird about it in the way that they do it. They don't care what it takes. They come with the approach of I'm here to win. And the the concept of undefeated battleground is that there's no calculations or sometimes you win, sometimes you lose with God when you approach things the right way. Because no matter how great a general you are, you can approach things in different ways and still lose a battle even if you did everything right. But with God, there is no causation of like maybe you won't work, maybe it won't. But when you approach the right the right way, you can't lose. The right attitude, you can't lose. But with the wrong attitude, you can't win. Right? So I want to compare just a few things of different sports analogies of things that actually happened. There was a team called the Patriots. Their quarterback was Tom Brady. They were down 28-3 in the Super Bowl with 2 minutes and 15 seconds left to go in the third quarter and it looked terrible. And you know there was never a specific action or someone saying something that changed actions. They already came there. We don't with the attitude of I don't care what the score is. I'm here to win. And throughout the next 17 minutes of play and 17 seconds they initiated the greatest comeback of all time and won that game because they said I'm here to win. Oh, but you're behind by the largest deficit ever to win from. He said, "I don't care. I'm here to win." And they won that game. There was a man named Tracy McGrady, a basketball player, behind by 13 points with 35 seconds left to go in the game or 12 points to go. 12 points with 35 seconds left to go against this team called the San Antonio Spurs, one of the greatest teams ever. But he decided, I'm not going to lose this game. I'm here to win. And I want to lay out the mathematics of this. And you say, why are you talking about sports? Because these people wake up early in the morning and they spend half the day or 3/4s of the day psychotically focusing on their craft. What would happen if you and I woke up every day and study the Bible and the word and had the right attitude? My what would happen? But Satan's goal is go to church, go to work, pray for your food, all the different things and stop, be comfortable, have soft living. So up to that point, Trace McGrady had 20 points in the game with 35 seconds to go. I did the math. He had averaged for the minute minutes he had played .042 points per minute in that game, which is basically the average, maybe slightly above average. And he's one of the best scorers ever. So, he was playing below average for what he was doing. But then he decided, I'm not here to lose, I'm here to win. And he scored 13 points in 35 seconds, which mathematically is 22.29 points a minute. So he scored 50 times more per minute in the last 35 seconds than he did for the entire game because he said, "You know what? No, I'm not going to lose." Teams in the NBA playoffs are that are down by eight points in the last minute of the game because that was just the regular season in the playoffs. When you're down by eight points with a minute to go, teams last week were 0 and 1,637. Zero wins, 1,637 losses. This week it's two in 1,637. That team that did that is the Indiana Pacers twice against the team with the best one with the second best winning record in the league. Why? Because they said, "I'm here to win." There's Muhammad Ali who had to fight against George Foreman. And they told him, "You're doomed. You're done. Doesn't matter. He's going to crush you. There's there's boxers who have beat you, Muhammad Ali, that he crushed, so you're not going to win." But Muhammad Ali didn't care. He came up with a strategy and said, "No, I'm here to win." and he won that fight. He figured out how to how to do it and he won. And we can understand those stories in the natural sports. And I believe that the heart of those men in those situations can reflect what we're supposed to have, which is, hey, I'm here to win. I don't care what the situation is. I don't care how the dire the circumstances are. I'm here to win. And so those two promises, brother Brandon mentioned, the right m mental attitude towards any divine promise of God will bring it to pass. And don't never be upset. Is that possible or is that just wish wishful thinking just some man's idea? I believe it is possible. I believe that the battleground we always have control over is our attitude. You always have control over that. There's the initial reaction that happens, but your continued reaction is up to you. Every single time it's very easy for me to blame others for my reactions. That's easy. That's the easy part. But when I can think, you know what, fine, maybe they did bait me in the initial thing, but my continued reaction is up to me. My apology is up to me, my humility is up to me, my continued set of actions and behaviors is completely 100% on me. Right? So we should always we should always try of course to be in the right position of having the right attitude and it does not matter what happens if we have the right attitude we can't lose. But if we if you have the attitude of complaining or or blaming everyone else or or I don't know whatever else it is you can't lose. But there was a man called Elijah in the Bible. who was a prophet and he had two different attitudes and an event one that happened right after the other in first kings chapter 18 in verse 27 it's on the projector and this is when they're supposed to offer a sacrifice a sacrifice to God and God was supposed to rain round down rain down fire from heaven to set their things to set their al altars on fire and the false people who thought that Baal was God they were very very uh passionate about what they believed and Elijah you know, being the prophet of God that he was. This is why I don't This is an approach. I believe that approach, the right approach, the attitude doesn't always have to be, I'm here to win and I'm a son of God and you know, I do everything serious all the time. Elijah even made a joke about it and he mocked them. He made fun of them. He was offensive towards them because they were worshiping the false god. He said, "It came to pass that Elijah mocked them and said, "Cry aloud. Cry him. Call him harder for he is a god. Maybe he's talking or pursuing or a journey. Maybe he's sleeping or taking a nap and must be awake. And they cried aloud and he baited them into this and they cut themselves with knives and lancets till the blood gushed out upon them. And it came to pass when midday was passed and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. There wasn't a voice or any to answer or any that regarded. But so Elijah knew for a fact that God was real and in control of the situation and approached it with the attitude of I'm going to mock and make fun of the devil and his people and I don't care because God is in control. And sometimes maybe we're too polite with the devil. Oh, I don't want to offend the devil. I don't want to hurt his feelings. He doesn't have feelings. Don't don't worry about that. No, we can approach it with I'm here to win. And Satan doesn't stand a chance when you approach it that way. Elijah said unto all the people, "Come near unto me and repair the altar of the Lord that was broken down." And he took 12 stones according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, and to whom the word of the Lord came, saying, "Israel shall be thy name." With stones he built an altar, and he made a great trench about the altar as great would contain that would contain two measures of seed. He put the wood of wood in order, cut the bollock in pieces, and laid them on the wood. And it looked the same as the prophets of Baal and what they had done. But then he said, "Fill it with water." And they said, "What? Are you out of your mind? Technically, what you're going to fill with water so the fire can come down. That makes no sense." He said, "Do it anyways and do it the second time." And they did it the second time. And they did it the third time. And the water ran round about the altar and he filled the trench also with water. So, not only was he going to embarrass and mock the enemy, he was also going to make it nearly impossible and even more impossible than usual for God to bring his word to pass. And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice that Elijah the prophet came near and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. All of them, including mocking Satan, by the way, at God's word. Hear me, oh Lord. Hear me that this people may know that thou art the Lord God. And you say, "Oh, that's weird." Like, no. I am preaching here tonight. And I'm here to win. I'm not here to complain. I'm not here to focus on my feelings. I'm here to win. I don't care what demon demon spirits come against me, against this word of God. I'm here to win. And the person guaranteeing the win when I approach it that way isn't me. I'm just David. But it's him. It's the Lord Jesus Christ. The same yesterday, today, and forever. the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. All of it. He's guaranteeing my victory when I say I can't lose because I'm approaching it through his word. Not through my ability, not through my understanding, but in my faith in the word of God and nothing else. And that's how Elijah approached it with the attitude of I'm here to win. And you say, "Oh, do we fight the devil or does God fight the devil?" It's both. God fights him, but he gives us weapons. When we try to fight it with the weapons of our own understanding, separate from God and our own abilities separate from God and not needing God, we'll always lose. But God gives us our gifts to take God to pour them into those gifts to make them better to use the Lord Jesus Christ through us to where we can't lose. The weapon of God's word, the weapon of God's understanding, the weapon of God's wisdom, of his quotes, of his scripture, of his prayer, those can't lose. But the weapons of intellect, the weapons of understanding without God, the weapons of trying to Google it all won't get you anywhere. They can build a counterfeit really close, but ultimately you can't win. I love there's a Sun Sue, you know Sue the general, he actually never lost a battle. And he said any defeat, any setback you can come back from, it's all about your mindset. Let's say it's all about your attitude. So Elijah says,"Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel." And he didn't say it with, "Oh, thou art God in Israel." He said, he said it with some fervor, with the attitude of, "Hey, I'm here to win." And that's the way we need to talk to the devil and in our prayers, not with, "Oh, Lord, I hope that you No, I'm here to win." And that that phrase, I love that. That came to me. No one showed that to me. I didn't hear that anywhere else, but I just come to my my mind the other day. I'm here to win. It's like I like that. I am here to win because it infers that I'm not here to lose. I'm here to win. Let it be known this day that thou Let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. Hear me, oh Lord. Hear me that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou has turned their heart back again." And then he waited for a feeling or an emotion or a voice from God. Like no, he took God at his word. And at the exit, I'm going to win. And then the then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed consumed the burnt sacrifice and the wood and the stones and the dust and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and they said, "The Lord, he is the God. The Lord, he is God." And Elijah said unto them, "Taketh the prophets of Baal. Let not one of them escape." And they took them. And Elijah brought them down to the brookishon and killed all of them there. And Elijah said unto Ahab, "Get thee up, eat and drink, for there is a sound of abundance of rain." And then verse 46, the hand of the Lord was on Elijah and he ged up his loins and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezrael. follows Ahab and then it's not in the projector but in the next chapter or parts of it is then Jezebel finds out about it and says he killed Elijah killed all of them go find him and kill him and Elijah with that same spirit of God with the hand of God on him his attitude switched immediately for some reason he changed and he ran from her verse four of chapter 19 but he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness and came and sat under down under or a juniper tree. Like brother Brandham said, it's usually when you're discouraged when Satan comes to you. And there's another point that he said, it's not in the projector, but it's when you have a great victory. That's when the devil really pours it on you. And he requested for himself that he came and sat down under a tree, a juniper tree, and he requested for himself that he might die. And he said, "It is enough now, oh Lord, take away my life, for I am not better than my father's." That's the wrong attitude. And he came thither into a cave and lodged there. And behold, the word of the Lord came to him and he said unto him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" And before this, actually, God sends an angel not to correct Elijah, but to bring him food and tell him to take a nap. Sometimes what you that's what you need is a nice food and a nap. That sometimes is the most spiritual thing because God sent it there for Elijah to go through. But that attitude that he had brought him back to the Lord Jesus Christ. And he came thither into a cave and lodged there. Verse 9. And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" And he said, "I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts. For the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword. And I, even I only am left, and seek, they seek my life to take it away. I'm the only one." And he said, "Go forth and stand upon the mount before the Lord." And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind ren the mountains, and break in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind, an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake, a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire, a still small voice. And it was so when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out and stood in the entering into the cave. And behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What dost thou here, Elijah, and he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of host, because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword, and I even I only am left, and they seek my life to take it away. And the Lord said unto him, Go return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus. And when thou comest anoint Hezel to be king over Syria, and Jahu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel. And Elisha the son of Shafat of Abel Mahola shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room. So he departed then and found Elisha the son of Shafat who was plying with 12 yolk of oxen before him and he with the 12th. And Elijah passed by him and cast his mantle upon him. So Elijah had that initial reaction of Jezebel's trying to kill me. But he didn't forsake God. and he went to a place and sat down and God came to him and asked him and talked to him and then he followed what God said to do and he had the right attitude from there on out and did exactly what God said to do and God put the spirit from him onto Elisha. So, it's a normal thing to even see that it was hard for Elijah to keep the same attitude even after a great victory, but he went back to that great attitude of doing what God said right afterwards. David in the Bible had the attitude of I'm here to win. That's why when he came and everyone was afraid of Goliath, everyone, the entire army was afraid of Goliath. And David said, "Is there not a cause?" I was I always wondered, "What in the world does that mean? Is there not a cause?" He says, "I believe what it means is there's a cause why we're here? We're here to win. Aren't we here to win, guys? Not here to complain or to be straight scared of Goliath, but we're here to win." He called everyone nuts. They said They called David nuts. said, "You're crazy to go and fight Gol Gth by yourself. Are you out of your mind?" He said, they said, "Go home. Go home. You can't go home." So David says, "No, God will deliver into my hand." Just like the lion and the bear, Saul tries to put his arm on him. He said, "I don't need it." And he went on went out and slew Goliath. He said, "I'm here to win." And then another time, he was supposed to go forth to battle and he didn't. And he made the mistake with Bath Sheba, the iniquity rather. And then he tries to get Uriah to go with his own wife and he doesn't. Then he has Uriah killed. And then he gets confronted about it by Nathan the prophet. But David's attitude was right. Not just with I will kill Goliath. I don't care what the opposition is. But also with correction. Yeah. Part of it is correction. You know, one of the main points of being a Christian is that every now and then you say I was wrong and I'm sorry. That's supposed to be. And it's not wrong that someone else did something wrong to you or that oh well people hurt me or people did this. Like no, I did a wrong thing. I am completely in fault. It's all my fault. That's normal. It's actually a superpower if you if you approach it the right way. And David approached it the right way with this. 2 Samuel 12:13. And David said to Nathan, he didn't try to justify it. He didn't try to explain it. He said, "I have sinned against the Lord." And that's all he said. Oh, but there's this reason this this person did this thing to me and the people were scattered from me and there was this reason this reason this. He didn't do that. He just said I was wrong. I have sinned against the Lord and that was all. Sometimes the most spiritual thing we can do with the attitude is just very little words to say I was wrong. And Nathan said to unto David, the Lord also hath put away thy sin. Thou shalt not die. How be it, because by this deed thou has given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blasphe. The child also that is born unto thee shall surely die. And Nathan departed departed and the Lord struck the child that Uriah's wife bear unto David. And it was very sick. And I believe David remembered that one king that prayed or he remembered that maybe he can change God's mind. So he went in and he prayed and besought God for the child and David fasted and went in. It was the attitude of I'm here to win. I'm here to win. It's not about me. I'm here to win. right? And fasted, went in and lay all night upon the earth. And the elders of his house arose and went to him to raise him up from the earth. Hey, get up. It's okay. Get up. He said, but no, I'm not going to eat bread with you. I'm going to stay down here and pray. And it came to pass on the seventh day that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead. For they said, "Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he wouldn't even listen to us. How will he then vex himself if we tell him that the child is dead? How will he react? What will his attitude towards us be? Those this is a man after God's own heart. But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead. Therefore, David said unto his servants, "Is the child dead?" And they said, "He is dead." And then David arose from the earth and washed and anointed himself and changed his apparel. He takes a shower. He anoints himself. He changes his clothes. Came into the house of the Lord and worshiped. He came to his house and when he required they set bread before him, he did eat. And his servants was like, "Are you out of your mind? What what are you doing? What is this thing that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive. But when he's dead, you rise up. You take a shower, put some an ointment on, and put some clothes on and eat some bread. What's wrong with you?" And he said, "While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept. For I said, who can tell whether God will be gracious to me that the child may live? Maybe God will. But now he is dead. Why would I fast? Can I bring him back? No. I will go to him, but he will not return to me. Why? Because David had the attitude of this baby is not in the enemy's hands. This baby is in God's hands. And when we have that approach with our life that, hey, my life is in God's hands no matter how bad it looks. I'm here to win. And David's attitude wasn't I'm going to mourn over my baby's loss. It's like, hey, I can't go to him or I I I will go to him, but he can't come to me. What am I going to do? God took his life, but it's in God's hands. And I know that God will work this out in his own perfect will. So, I'm going to continue with the attitude of I'm here to win. I don't care what the circumstances are. I don't care who dies and how hard it looks. I'm here to win because it's in God's hands. He wasn't crazy not to mourn the the child. He knew that it was perceived in a way in a way or conceived in a way that was wrong, but he said it's in God's hands. God says that it's for the baby to die and it's for the baby to die. I'm here to win. God put me here to win because he knew something would go great. And then the very next verse, and David recognized, hey, I'm the king. I'm here to comfort others, not for me. I'm not here for my needs. I'm here to serve others. And David comforted Bath Sheba, his wife, and went in unto her and lay with her, and she bore a son. And he called his name Solomon. And the Lord loved him. Isn't that great? But he had the attitude of I'm here to win. Not the attitude of I'm going to let circumstances dictate my attitude. No, I'm going to change my attitude regardless of circumstances. It was the same thing. It was in God's hand what God's hands were whether or not he defeated Goliath. It was in God's hands what happened to his kingdom. It was in God's hands what happened to his baby. And that's why he had such faith. Peter had the attitude of I'm here to win. But he used the attitude in the wrong way and didn't take correction from Jesus when Jesus said, "You're going to betray me." And he says, "No, I'd never betray her. You're going to deny me. I would never deny you." His attitude was, "I'm here to win." But he didn't recognize when it was, "I'm also here to listen to the Lord Jesus Christ." And he denied him. But then he got back up and kept on fighting. And he went later and got the Holy Ghost because he said, "I'm here to win regardless of what mistakes I make." There's another one. One of my favorite stories in the Bible, Hannah in the Bible. 1 Samuel chapter 1 verse 5. Is this all right tonight? This is describing Hannah and her husband, the other wives, and the kids that they had. But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion, for he God, for he the husband had loved Hannah. But the Lord had shut up her womb. And the adversary also provoked her sore for to make her fret because the Lord had shuttered her womb. He told her, "Oh, you can't have kids. You can't have kids, man. Alive. I get back. I don't wonder if God even loves you and you can't have kids." And I notice this key verse here. And he did so year by year. When she went up to the house of the Lord, so she provoke he she provoked her. Therefore, she wept and did not eat. Then said Elena her husband to her, "Hannah, why weepest thou? Why eatest thou not? Why is thy heart grieved? Am I not better to thee than 10 sons? This happened year by year. In my opinion, maybe Hannah went to the altar to pray or prayed, but it was very quiet and it just didn't do much. Maybe she thought people might see me and my social image, etc. But when but then when she got desperate, that's when it changed. Maybe she thought, I don't want people to see me whailing and crying really loud and looking drunk because socially I'll look weird. Yeah. But one of the times she said, "I don't care what it looks like. I don't care who sees me. I'm going to cry out to God until he gives me what I need." And she got desperate. She had the right attitude of not caring. She said, "I'm here to win." Verse 9. So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh and after they had drunk. And now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a po post of the temple of the Lord. And she was in bitterness of soul and prayed unto the Lord and wept sore loud and dramatic. And she vowed of vow and said, "Oh Lord of hosts, if thou will indeed look on the affliction of thine handmmaid and remember me and not forget your handmade, who will give your handmade a manchild, I will give him unto you all the days of his life, and there'll be no razor come upon his head." Maybe the reason why we're not getting presence from God is because we're putting our social image above what our outward self would look like to others at an altar. Because when I say, "Oh, I don't want to go to the altar because people will see me. I don't want to raise my hands because people will see me. I don't want to yell cry out to the Lord, people will see me." I'm choosing my social image over getting desperate with God. I've done that, too. And this isn't for me to say, "Oh, so and so is doing this." This is for me to ask you. I don't know all the things. You ask yourself because this church thing, this is only just one part of it. The other 99.9% is at your house, in your car, when you're at the store, when you're in the middle of the battle. What do you do with it? What's your attitude? Hannah's attitude was, "Lord, please, please, I'll give them to you." And it came to pass she continued and they thought she was literally drunk. And she even at a later point was speaking in her heart. So she was moving all around strangely, but it was all going on in her mind. Her only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. So Eli thought she was drunk. And Hannah Hannah answered and said, "No, my lord. I'm a woman of a sorrowful spirit. I have not drunk wine, neither strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord." Do you want a blessing from the Lord? Have you really poured out your soul? Or have you done the easiest possible thing time after time after time after time? Oh, my social image is first. My comfort is first. My what I want is first. But when did you really get before God and say, "God, please. Oh, but I'm right. I'm right." And they're all wrong. They're all wrong. What does that get you? Nothing. Who are you talking about? Satan. That That was Satan's approach in heaven. He said, "Lord, you're wrong in your approach. I can do it better. I want to be like God. I'm here to win, too, my own battles." And God says, "No, you're not." And he cast him down. You want to get something from God? You want to get a result from God you've never got before? Approach him in a way you never have before. Albert Einstein said, "The the uh insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." You keep on approaching God in the way you are, not getting a result. What do you expect? got to approach him differently. Oh, but so and so did me wrong and so and so did this. Doesn't matter. Your attitude and your behavior is up to you. You That's like dad's story in the woods. You've done it just about every easy possible way there is. It's up to you now. But she got over a sorrowful spirit. Poured poured out her soul before the Lord. You are not here to look nice. You are not here to I'm not or I'm not here to look nice. I'm not here for a social image. I'm here to worship God and learn from God. That's why I come to church. That's why I sing. You are not the audience when I'm singing to to you. I'm singing with you to the Lord. It's to talk to the Lord. This sermon is not just for you. It's also for me. Satan wants to turn culture into a doctrine. But no, Hannah didn't care. She needs she needed something from God. She said, "Let Eli answered and said, "Go in peace and the God of Israel grant thee that petition that thouast asked of him." That was free. That wasn't in the notes. I have no idea why I said all that. Maybe it was for something God wanted. I don't know. And she said, "Let the handmade find grace in my sight." So the woman went away and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad. And they rose up in the in the morning early and worshiped before the Lord and returned and came to their house to Rama. And Elena knew Hannah, his wife, and the Lord remembered her. Before it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived that she bear a son and called his name Samuel because I have asked him of the Lord. God brought it to pass. God made it happen. But he wouldn't have if she would have prioritized how she looked because you say how do you get the problem? Because she looked like she was drunk. Clearly she wasn't carried about her im she wasn't caring about her image. She was caring about having a son. And she wasn't doing it for her own selfish desires. He was doing it to give them to the Lord and that brought Samuel and Samuel was the prophet for Saul and King David. You guys know the story of Esther? You know the story of Esther in the Bible? There's a Jewish woman living in Persia who becomes queen and then the dressers of the girls come in and say, there was all the different girls that would come in. Who's going to be the new queen? Who's going to be the new queen? And they asked the girls, how do you want to be dressed? And the girls said, I want purple. I want red. Whatever. And then they asked Esther and she said, "Well, what would the king like the best?" Cuz she said, "I'm here to win. God placed me here. I'm here to win." And then she discovers a plot to exterminate her entire people. And then her cousin Morai off the a court saves the king's life, which leads to Morai being honored. And the king's adviser called Hmon plots to kill all the Jews. But Esther reveals his plan or tries to. And then Hmon is executed. And in order to get there though, she had to do something that would cause certain death. So when the king's by himself and he's not requested for you to go to him and you go in unto him without him inviting you, you're killed immediately unless he lifts up the scepter. So she came in and she pleaded with him. He lifts the scepter and he finds out that Hmon was trying to kill all of their people. But if she said, "Oh, I'm in comfort. I'm the queen. I get all the food I want. I get all the tea and the and the drinks I want. I get all the all the things I could ever want in this kingdom." But oh no, she wasn't there for her comfort. She was there to save her people. She says, "I'm here to win." And she got that result. I believe that in order to get the victory and have the attitude of I'm here to win, we need to get out of our comfort zone and into the victory battleground, does social image matter more to me than doing whatever it takes to get the victory? And it's easy to say, "No, of course not." Well, when was the last time you went to an altar and pleaded for God? To God. A physical altar, altar in your heart. I don't care where it is. You could be driving and plead out to the Lord. When was the last time? Oh, but I plead for other people. That's nice. What about when you pleaded for you and you said, 'Lord, what a rich, wretched sinner that I am. Lord, help me so much. Lord, what can I do to make me better? The world wants to say everyone else is the source of all my problems. But God wants to say, hey, you are. And you can actually change yourself to make other people better. When I want to help other people, I don't want to envision it as everyone else is the problem. I want to try to envision it as, hey, could I serve God in such a way to help the people I love better? Right? Because in that way I have complete control. But Satan wants us to think, oh well, everyone else is all the problems. Then you can't change that. He wants to give you problems you can't change by blaming them on others. God wants you to say, yeah, your problem is you, and if you change you, you can help others. And as long as everyone else is the problem, you can't do anything about it because you can't change people. When you say, "I'm here to win." Part of that is saying, "Hey, I was wrong. This approach that I have is wrong. I need to change it because it's my fault." What about Ruth in the Bible? She was a pagan in the land of Moab. They did terrible I think there child sacrifices and terrible things like that. But then she meets a lady named Naomi and she meets a guy. She gets married to him. But then he dies and then Naomi says go back with Orpa your sister-in-law and go back to your land. Verse Ruth 1:14. And they lifted up their voice and wept again. And Orpa kissed her mother-in-law and Ruth clave unto her. all the men in their life just passed away and died. And they're so sad. And she said, "Behold, thy sister-in-law has gone back unto her people, unto her gods. Return thou after thy sister-in-law." And Ruth said, "Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee. For whether thou goest, I will go, and whether thou lodest, I will lodge. For thy people shall be my people, and thy God, my God. Where thou diest will I die, and there will I be buried. the Lord do so to me and more also have ought death but part thee and me. And when Naomi saw that she was steadfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her. And when she saw that Ruth said, "No, I'm here to win. I'm not going to go back to the pagan places. I'm not going to go back to those things. I'm here to win no matter what it costs." With that attitude, she couldn't lose. She said, "Okay." Then she left, speaking unto her. What about then? What about Mary in the Bible? the one that offered the ointment for Jesus. Mark 14:3. And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box. In Luke, it says that it's Mary. As he sat at me, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard, very precious. And she broke the box and poured it on his head. And there were some that had indignation within themselves and said, "Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than 300 p and have been given to the poor, and they murmured against her." In modern terms, it was worth about 60 grand. And Jesus said, "Let her alone. Why trouble you here? She hath wrought a good work on me. For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever you will, you may do them good. But me, you also have not always." She hath done what she could. She did all that she could. She took everything she was and did all that she could. Reminds me of the man that offered $10,000 into the offering and prayed, "Lord, I am not like the others who do it wrong. I am the greatest of all time." And and then the the widow woman or the little lady came in with her two pennies, just two cents, and she put it in the offering. That was all she had. Let's call it 20 bucks maybe, cuz it was enough to go buy her some food in today's inflation. And Jesus said, "She just gave more than the other guy who gave 10 grand." And they're saying, "Are you out of your mind? That's nuts. That's wrong. But God doesn't look at it as 10,000 is more than 20 bucks. God looks at it differently. That man came in. Everyone look at me. Everyone look at me. And she came in. I'm here to win. I have the attitude of I'm here to win. And the way to do that is to give everything I have to God. And he will be with me. Even she didn't spend $15 there or $10 there or $19.99 to give a little bit of room for her to buy some food. No, she gave everything she had. And he said she gave more than the other guy did. She hath done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint my body to the bearing burying. Verily I say unto you, where wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world when David Kusain will preach it on May 7th, 2025. This also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a moral of her. She said, "I'm here to win. I'll take every penny I've ever saved and honor him just because I feel like I should." And every voice in her head said, "You're nuts. That's crazy. That's 60 grand. That's all you got. She said, "I don't care." And gave everything she had to him. She said, "I'm here to win." The lady with a blood issue, she tried every doctor, every clinician, everyone to get healed and nothing changed. She spent everything she had. And then she heard about someone called Jesus. If you and she thought, "If I can just touch the hem of his garment, I'll be healed." But there are so many people. and she reached out and she went through them and they stomped on her and she she couldn't get through but she reached through and touched the hem of his garment and she was instantly healed. Why? Because she said, "I'm here to win. I don't care who's in the way. I don't care who's also trying to touch him. I don't care if someone but pushes me over. I'm here to win." And it worked. Amen. Because she had the attitude of I'm here to win. That win word almost seems carnal, but it's not. It was originated when God came down and he died for us to win us [Music] back. And when I get to heaven, I will say the Lord Jesus Christ, thank you so much, Lord, for everything you did for me. When you led the children through the through the children of Israel through the wilderness, I saw you there. When I when you led Mekisedc there, I saw you there. When you helped David with Goliath, I saw you there. When you came to Paul in the pillar of fire, I saw you there. And when you came into my soul, I saw you there. When you preached to brother Brandham, I saw you there. And all that you are, I'll spend an eternity speaking with you, my Lord Jesus Christ. He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the all of it. When I had second degree burns on my right arm and as an I could have used it as an excuse to be irritable. I opened a radiator when I shouldn't. And that's how that happened. And I tried to dry it off with my towel and skin peeled off. I I looked it up. You know, second degree burns are actually more p painful than third degree burns because third degree burns they uh they actually scorch and kill the nerves. Second degree burns, no they just scorch them, but they don't kill them. It was immense pain. It was really painful. It's one of the most painful things you can do. It was awful. And when it initially happened, I I had tears in my eyes. It was hard. It was horrible. And when we tried to dress it with wounds and stuff like that, when we peeled off bandages, it would peel skin off with it. Oh, it hurts so bad. And I remember one time I think mom or Ruth was helping. I was like, "Do you better or something like that?" And then I was and that was so easy to do cuz it hurts so bad. But then I thought I thought, you know what? They're looking to me. People look at me. People are watching what I'm doing. I need to change my attitude, my approach to I'm going to win. Win what? The approach to pain. in this scenario to show what does the son of god do when he has second degree burns? How does he react? And I changed that and from that point on I said no my mind will be the master over my body and I will not allow this pain to turn me into a monster to my family even though the pain was so bad I could not turn my arm this much to push a shopping cart. I had to put my arm in a brace and when I walked around the vibration from my walking went up my arm and through my arm causing immense pain. So I had to walk holding the brace and walking just like this in order to have no pain. So I actually went in a wheelchair through Walmart. It was awful. I couldn't tie my shoes with my right hand. I couldn't do anything with it. I just kind of just kind of sat there. But I said, "You know what? I'm here to win. The same God that died for me on Calvary, the same God that brought me through every trial I've ever went through is the same God that will heal this arm. And everything in my arm that's already there will be healed. And yes, it was a lot of pain, but God brought me through it. And it taught me with the right approach. You can't lose. But the father said, "No, I'm in pain. I have every right to be upset." I did, but I changed that. I gave away my rights to do my best to be a reflection of Jesus Christ. When brother Brandham lost his first wife and his baby Sharon Rose and he tried to end his own life, God wouldn't let him. And it was so hard on him because God told him, "Brother Brandon, you're not here to lose. You're here to win. I placed you here for a purpose." And those trials gave him value to know what winning really was. Winning isn't never failing. It's in always getting back up. Losing a as a Christian isn't isn't uh making mistakes. It's staying down. below your calling to something that's easy. When I look at everyone, I don't when God looks at his people, he does not see a perfect people that never made mistakes. He sees someone that no matter what mistakes they made, no matter what they did wrong, they're still here fighting. They're still here. They still been going faithfully to this church, they're still here. In the exposition of the seven churches as we close, could you please musicians come up, please? Brother Brham says, "Now remember this. Christ in the true church is a continuation of the book of Acts. But the book of Revelation shows how that the Antichrist spirit would come into the church and defile it, making it lukewarm, formal, and powerless. It exposes Satan revealing his works, attempted attempted discre destruction of God's people, and the discrediting of go discrediting of God's word right down to the time he is cast into the lake of fire. He fights that. He cannot stand it. He knows that if the true that if the people get the true revelation of the true church and what she is, what she stands for and that she can do the greater works, she will be an invincible army. If they get a true revelation of the two spirits within the framework of the Christian church and by God's spirit discern and withstand the antichrist spirit, Satan will be powerless before her. He will be as definitely thwarted today as when Christ withtood him every his every effort to gain power over him in the desert. Yes, Satan hates revelation, but we love it. With true revelation in our lives, the gates of hell cannot prevail against us, but we will prevail over them. But Satan's approach is, yeah, you fell down. You made a big giant mistake. Stay down. Live below your calling. Live comfortably. That's his calling. Blame everyone else for all of your [Music] problems. Don't live the way you know you're supposed to, but just let me blame everyone else so you can feel better. Blaming someone else makes you feel better. Blaming yourself makes you be better. And what does invincible army even mean? Doesn't mean you never fell. It means no matter what Satan put Sister Suzan and brother Jamie through, they're still here fighting. That's an invincible soldiers in invincible army. And no matter what Satan put Sister Faith through, she's still here fighting. Invincible soldier in an invincible army. He said, "Oh, but I fail." Good. God will bring you back up and teach you things through this. Maybe you have that social image that keep you from going to an altar to make things right with God. Maybe you have something in your life that you need to take care of. Whatever it is, maybe you need to rededicate your life to God. Get a refilling of the Holy Ghost. I don't know what it is, but he placed you here to win. The altar is open for you if you want. We'll pray with you. But maybe you need to put a social image and just run after God. Not just at an altar, but in your heart and everywhere else. Other people will see me. I sure hope so. Maybe you'll encourage other people to go there, too. Did you think about that? Or you just think about you. Maybe me going into an altar. And the night when I went to the altar, April 19th, 2014 at Louisiana camp, I was the first one there. I didn't care who saw me. I said, "Lord, I'm ready to die out to myself." And probably me going there encouraged others to go, too. Go up my social image. Forget about it. Your image is not supposed to be a social image that makes you look better. It's supposed to be Jesus Christ. But sing, that's what this altar is for. That's what this altar is for. So, are you here to win or are you here to be comfortable once you get saved or once you get to a place where God wants you to be? What are you here to do? Win. In order to win, we repent. We move forward. So that's easy right now to say, but when the next time someone's mean to you, next time someone cuts you off in traffic, next time when someone passes away, next time when you're going through a terrible trial, what will your attitude be? It's up to you. What will your attitude be? No matter which way you approach it, you can't lose. Every time you approach it the wrong way, you never win. Every time you approach it the right way, you can't lose. It is literally as simple as that. That's what the alter is [Music] for. Yeah, that's a good [Music] key. The service is nearing and end. The choir is singing. Oh, just as I am. And now as the
