awesome awesome day I had a good Friday it was good it was fun we schedule my work trip so they're going to be rescheduled I'm not sure when so that's fun don't have to leave on Sunday so that's good hello everybody what's up all right I'll just pray and we'll get right into it but thank you for this day all that you've given us please help us as we uh do a fun live hope to be a good one Jesus name amen all right so what's up guys how is everyone's Friday I had a good one it was pretty cool the uh yesterday I guess I uh I went through all of the old knock and lie uh questions and took screenshots of them went back took screen press so click on one screenshot back click one screenshot back I did that over 2,000 times because said there was over 2,000 questions and the kn I link not even kidding over 2,000 so that's a lot um but yeah over 2,000 the KN link is also open on my story so if someone wants to ask something anonymously they can just leave the live go on there and then come back I don't I'm not offended if you do that so yeah it's pretty pretty cool there is so many of these questions and I even kidding this there's over 2,000 I I did not know know there were there happy you know the Bible does say you know for I've learned that whatever whatsoever State I am in there with to be content so it's Friday yes it's Friday lot of people could get paid on Friday how to be happy all the time uh change your change your perspective on happiness I guess change the way that you look at it change the way that you think about it and the way that you say it preached on Wednesday it was really hard I guess that's why I don't have as much energy or Rememberance as I used to do cuz I did preach Wednesday and I'm still I'm tired from that it was pretty hard sermon honestly one of the hardest I preached in a while uh it was the second part in the series of to know good and evil but it was the title really was uh what if versus what is and it and it went through you guys want me to put the link for it in my story if you do let me know um okay random question how should teenagers use a budget a budget uh get the every dollar app so look up like Dave Ramsey how to use a budget his daughter makes a good video he's made a good video and um use the every dollar app it's not real hard uh and pay your tithes and pay your offerings make sure you have all your debts paid off have some fun money I I just completely disagree with like if you make $1,000 and you pay tithes and offerings on it you have like 850 left and you have no debts that all of it should go to savings like no put some in savings But ultimately uh have some fun money as well now lilan I think you're 16 right um but so if you at 16 started for putting $100 a month into a Roth iray like a 401K Roth iray and uh so you put it in your mom and dad's name if you can what if unless you're 18 100 bucks a month from when you're 18 or from when you're 16 to when you are let me just do some so Roth r a calculator let's do some math here people don't realize the power of compound interest so how old am I to 16 and 100 bcks a month that's $1,200 $1,200 a year and from age 16 to 35 average rate of return is 12% that's the S&P 500 and marginal tax rate is zero and okay if you put $100 a month from ages uh 16 to and if you put $100 a month in from age 16 to 35 at 35 when you're 35 years old lilan you would have $ [Music] 76,120,000 a month so if you put $100 a month from Agee 16 to Agee 65 when you're 65 years old you will have $2.5 million just from putting 100 bucks a month in it's like almost nothing so that would be a really good way to do it the trick one of the the very underrated trick to uh money is consistency not how much you save it's just $100 a month and from your 16 to Wi you're 65 that's $ 2.5 million that's why car payments are so stupid so like the average car payment in America is $500 a month so that's $66,000 a year if someone instead of paying $500 a month for car payments from when they were 16 to when they were 65 just buying one cool car after another they' have $12.8 million instead money guys money this is all by the way just completely improvised on that I don't have anything specific planned trying to get new people on but doing my best you see I have that up been using his curriculum but it still confuses me converting month to month it confuses me too Li that's why I don't use this app anymore there's an app called spending tracker that you can get but honestly the best plan I'll just show you the best way of doing it so really the best way is pen and paper and envelopes so and you grab a piece of paper right here I'll show you guys so piece of paper right and uh let's say you make $1,000 a month we're going to write down all of your expenses this is the best way of doing it excuse my dirty desk here what's up Scroll how's it going okay so let's say you make uh $1,000 in a month right and then you uh have $100 tithes so that's ties then you put 900 left and then you put a 50 offering and that's 850 left so 0 base budget right so then you put uh let's say $100 Roth IRA it's a four right a Roth IRA so then you have uh 750 left and then let's say you take uh and you save well you need a six Monon Mark see let's just say you take the other seven you take um $2 for bills so like internet phone miscellaneous stuff you know like pen and papers different stuff that you need so there you go so let's say $200 for miscellaneus and then you've got let's see 550 left and then save the and then $200 fun puts it down to 350 and then save the rest so a z based budget to each of these things I'm z0 what's everybody how how's it going let me fix this so that I can actually see what's going on there we go what's up guys so yeah there you go that's a$ Z base budget very fun how's everybody doing that's very techy of me but that's a budget it's pretty easy to do the hard part is actually doing the hard part of money isn't the math the math is easy the problem is actually doing it it's only 80% it's only 20% hit knowledge 80% behavor does anybody in the chat think credit cards are okay if they do you could go on live with me and we could debate it that'd be fun all right one thing someone wanted to discuss was girls giving guys compliments and guys taking it the wrong way I think that's interesting I think it depends on the compliment one way that a girl can say a compliment in a way that a guy wouldn't take it the wrong way is to say a generalized compliment instead of a direct one so what does that mean David that means David that's an awesome shirt David you look awesome not David that's a really handsome shirt you look absolutely gorgeous the difference is is words to describe Beauty versus a general assessment what's up Daniela welcome to the live so if you want to give a guy a compliment and not get him to get the wrong idea don't give a I'm sure there's a difference between the words and some english dictionary somewhere but say something like hey do you look awesome or you look cool or well put together but don't say handsome cute uh brilliant gorgeous now if you tell a guy he looks cute he is going to remember that for the rest of his life cuz I know girlss are used to a lot of compliments guys aren't we don't hear them ever um and uh so if you don't want to guy to get the wrong idea don't say don't say something so direct as like you know you're just so handsome or whatever just say hey you're pretty cool or hey you look pretty nice nice suit you know something about like that now if I got get the wrong idea the best generally the best way of uh communica a guy that you don't you're not interested is by telling you you're not interested that way you can move on I know this a difficult thing to do it's different from the norm but it's an honest way of doing it and it takes away all confusion so if you just hint to it then it's really interp you it's open to interpretation but if you say things directly then it's really not it's no way to misinterpret not interested you know so yeah what's up Rose how's it going welcome to the live any questions you guys have I'm happy to uh happy to answer s Lynn Will I Am hello welcome to the live how's it going just talking about random things uh see how to become a singer okay I like this question how to become a singer all right uh the best way is just to sing a bunch and to focus on not singing through your nose so bless the Lord oh my soul oh my soul no so you have to breathe in deeper and make sure that your nose isn't vibrating so bless the Lord oh my soul oh my soul and make sure that you're speaking or singing through your like stomach and your chest and taking deeper breaths instead of uh instead of singing so quietly or just you know through your nose put some more thought into how you pronunciate your words when you're singing and sing louder and try to hit those higher notes because you can hit high notes you just need to try like I know somebody who sing is like bless the Lord oh my soul oh my my soul and they never try to hit those higher notes and I had them try to hit one of those higher notes the other day and they sounded better than I've ever heard them sing so if you want to sing better sing more and uh use crough Drops like when you go to camps like I don't lose my voice near when I go to camps by God's grace because I I I take cough drops that's the secret cough drops in prayer and a lot of water like when I preach I don't know if you've ever had a preacher do this but I usually have they usually have to bring me another bottle of water or another cup of water because I usually drink all the water why cuz I want to conserve my voice and so with singing try that's the key with singing is to try hard and if you can't carry a tune then you need to carry it then you to figure out how to copy people who are really good and that's how to become a good singer it's a lot of practice when I was younger I sang a lot and I sounded pretty bad like at byc if you asked brother uh brother Brian Ericson if he how what David Ken was like when he was young I used to sing specials every single service for the little people Tabernacle they used to not uh call me up cuz I I uh I put in so many requests but it was a lot of fun it was super cool um so just sing more and ask people who are really good at singing how they got so good at it like people who are really good it didn't just come out of the blue it came through a lot of practice I used to sound pretty bad and then as I got older like I've sang justifying Jesus from when I was in C on the guitar and playing and singing from when I was 13 to now when I'm almost 23 years old and uh the it's generally changed but one of the main things is don't sing with your nose and take deeper breaths when you sing because that forces air out of your lungs and makes you sing louder and more intently and just makes you sound better overall really rather than which doesn't sound good don't sing through your nose sing through your mouth and like if you you want to know like how do I know I'm spray through my mouth or singing through my mouth and my chest on my diaphragm rather than my nose just plug your nose and see if there's any uh vibration you know that's how you do it so that's how you can be a better singer I've never taken any vocal lessons I've just practice a lot you can also and take a cough drops but just try that's that's the key and pronunciate your words when you sing like there's a song God is in the story he is in the details God is in the story he is in the details that's not good you need to pronunciate the words over toe almost so like but the brandom think I think brother B actually one time spoke about you know you want to get better at something uh focus on doing the extreme of what you're not good at and it'll balance itself out so someone might have a tendency to slur their words together so you need to you need to focus on pronuncia your words even more than you usually do and it'll balance itself out because your natural tendency to slow your words will go against the actual pronunciation so when you to go like God is in this story he's in the details so you pronunciate your words and you make them blend and you like I told uh I think it's Noel black Renee Black's little sister she was the mayor at uh byc for the um for the play and she was not speaking loud enough she's a shy person as far as I can tell and she's like oh I'm not loud enough I said Noel just just speak louder than you think you have to speak louder than what you think is necessary and then it's a lot louder you know because not everyone's you know built like me where else I'll growl so hard being the big bad wolf that they don't even need a microphone so sing louder than you think you need to and hit those high notes and give everything you've got like when I was song leading at uh byc 2023 such an honor and privilege by the way um I asked Zachary lawon like hey got any tips he's like well he's like honestly David just go up there and sing some songs and sing with all you've got sing with everything you have and and those kids will follow and they did honestly they're a lot more fun to Sly too than the kids of my age all the kids of my age in the morning were just so tired that was so done the kids were like so uh so hype man it was [Laughter] awesome I understand not everyone has a you know a 9 to 12 year old energy though so it's fine so how what's the next one how to not lose friends well the Bible says he that ha a friend must show himself friendly and uh so friendly definition kind and pleas L do not something that is adaptive for or is not harmful to a spe specify thing so the definition of a friendly person is people are kind caring and make you feel comfortable so one of the things to uh how to not lose friends when your friend tells you something about themselves something they're going through don't immediately don't immediately uh say oh I I went through something Sim like that and then go on about yourself and then they just sitting they like well I'm happy then then I have to be the friend you know I have to be the one listening to their story about themselves and really I was confiding to them telling them about something difficult I was going through and I needed support maybe they can even try to fix the problem if they want but first they're support So how to be how to let Lose Friends listen to their problems ask them about the details if I tell you that I had a uh a hard time this morning getting out of bed you can say oh cool usually when I get out of bed you know I then I'm I've already kind of stopped listening so you uh in order to be effective ask the more details about them themselves about their story then they'll actually feel listening to they won't feel like you uh you're just listening to them so that you can talk so that you just building up what you want to say so that's one way to not lose friends is to actually listen to them and ask them more details about what they're telling you about so there's one thing um my future career choice is well I'm guessing this page is for 5-year-olds or kids uh sales I love sales that's my future career choice that's what I want to do I think anybody that wants to do anything is got to identify what they're good at some people like I think everyone has different gifts for different things they're very industrial like my brother Josh is good at owning a business so is Anna um Alex is better at like photography editing he also does tinting maybe some entrepreneur stuff um Josh is better at tinting and managing a business he doesn't like the sales as much Dad is better at the sales part and may be managing but he doesn't like he doesn't do any of the tinting each person what I'm saying this for is each person has another part of the industry or an industry or a part of it that they can do I do sales and I think kids growing up should identify what do they want to do for me it's sales I don't like having to why don't you own your business because I don't want to have to do all the accounting and all the hiring and all the firing and all the keeping track of all the bills paying them keeping track of them all the taxes I don't want to do all that garbage I just want to sell all of the M all the maintenance of the product all of the making sure that the product is good all of the quality control I don't want to have to do all that garbage I just want to sell so you identify what do you want to do and then you do it with all your heart and soul and the only thing I think the only things you really need to go to college for is architecture engineering doctors nurses maybe some other really select things but if you want to own your own business don't go to college if you want to work in sales dear goodness don't go to college you would do better buying things online buying literally anything online and then going door too trying to sell it then get any foure degree there is experience is better than a degree 80 I think it's 82% of people that get a degree don't get a uh don't get a job in the field they saved for so you know future career choices find what you're good at find what you enjoy and do it and uh you should also base that on how you believe as well and everything else like that what's up guys glad to have everybody on with me tonight so oh boy this is a fun question how can we prevent bullying well for starters we can't prevent it so when it comes like s see this is all my opinion but uh tell me if you disagree with me here but how can we prevent bullying uh stop being utter losers that's one way because bullies are going to exist that's like when they say like stop racism you're not going to stop the gun stop murder stop violence they're not going to it's going it's going to exist regardless bullying is not going to stop what you need to stop is being a loser you know when I was younger and I went to byc I was bullied a little bit by a group of guys and then you know what happened the next summer I was about 4 in taller and I was bigger than any of them and then they apologize to me why because I was bigger that's one way go go go through go SP and uh become someone they don't want to bully I guess that's what we're doing so stop bullying is to stop it in its tracks and to play a social game and to speak directly to someone tell you can tell grown up but you can also embarrass them in front of their friends so for instance people were trying to bully me when I was 18 at camp and the way they were doing that it's just some weird stuff I don't even want to describe so uh what I did is instead of getting all violent on them which I'm not going to do I told them hey I'm going to embarrass you in front of your friends if you don't stop so was something weird that a couple group of guys was doing girls don't even want to hear about it what I did is I grabbed a cup of water and I walked up to them the last day at Camp when everyone's when everyone's you know the day before everyone leaves I walked up to all the guys and their friends there the girls were sitting right next to them real close and I poured water on all of them through this little cup water on all of them all at the same time and I said I told you to stop and then I walked away so stand up for yourself that's how you prevent bullying CU bullying is going to come you're not going to stop it from happening you're just going to make yourself stronger and you're gonna say hey look what value does it give you to pick on someone is that really the spirit of Christ in you there one way to prevent bullying also you you can be like Grace Grace Smith's brother Samuel Smith and just go to the gym all the time get super buff and then no one wants to mess with [Laughter] you I wouldn't even say getting good at fighting I'd say get good at um social confidence and speaking to people and then you can speak to them and say you know or get really good at running if you can run faster and longer than anybody else no one can bully you you know but if they finally corny you just uh speak directly to them that's one way of uh dealing with it I guess people will bully you regardless though they'll try some people are just smaller or Dumber or they look like losers when they're not and the way of dealing with it is uh fight back people used to blow my dad all the time when he was in school what he did one day is he said I'm not running and he wore a real tight shirt he said I'm going to fight you today and they ended up not uh bullying him anymore so so fight back you know do some gorilla Warfare if you have to if they gang up on you just while you're near adults you know you know pour uh pour some chocolate pudding all over the nice dress or something really really cruel like that or something you know or just ignore it pray for them but there Comes A Time with no amount of uh turning the other cheek will stop those to do the devil's work oh man let's see so don't be a loser be make yourself into an absolute unit that's want me to prevent bullying let's see here's an interesting question how to help teenagers who don't know what to do with their lives find a hierarchy of value and attain the top of it what does that mean that means everything in your life is a hierarchy of value what's a hierarchy I will Google the definition for you here hierarchy definition so hierarchy is a system or organization in which people in which people or groups are ranked one above the other according to status or authority so it's you know Authority and power so for teenagers that don't know what to do with their life find your favorite thing and a send to the top win that's what you got to do if you're a teenager don't don't know what to do figure out what you want to do and then be the best at it the best not mediocre not just okay be the best cuz as a teenager there's also surface things I think every at least every teenage guy should have no debt 10 grand in the bank um a job that makes enough or more than enough to provide for a family if in good physical shape the Holy Ghost the Seal of the Holy Ghost a pastor you have if you have those things as a young man you're not going to be depressed or you're going to have a much hard harder time being depressed and you're going to know more about what to do with your life but if you don't have money in the bank if you do have debt if you have a really really terrible job if you're in terrible shape then of course you're going to you're not going to know want to do with what to do with your life because you're already not doing something with your life because you have something you have a body you got to take care of it you have a church you got to go to you have a relationship with God you've got to you got to maintain you have social situations that you've got to go against so find a game and win be the best that you can be so for Annie what does that look like for a girl uh get really good at the things that a wife does that's what I would say get really good at cooking as you know just get incredible at it um spend your time with God a lot get a great relationship with God um ask your mom the best way is of doing things um and uh figure out what you want to do some way of doing it you see let's see someone says peer pressure is a good motivator it depends on the peers definitely it depends on the peers that you're dealing with um I don't know it depends on who who they are and what they stand for and what they believe I mean some people are really nice some are not it just depends if they're telling you to do something that's wrong then tell them to get lost they're losers just leave that situation um so yeah um what's up Zoe versus what is 53 minutes it was hard on me but I'm alive I drank two cups of water the only probably the only person you know of that would ask someone to get more water after they've already bought water to me because I drink the whole thing you know oh man so how to help teenagers that don't know what to do with their lives then develop a base of operation that's really good for so if for a guy uh put 10 grand in the bank get in good shape get a job that pays for more more than what you would need to provide for a family get a car um have a pass Pastor have a great relationship with your pastor and your parents and uh get closer to God those are the things for anybody uh for a girl I don't know much about that I don't know have a great relationship with God be really get really good at cooking I guess things that a wife would be good at help your mom with everything she needs help others that's one thing so teenagers who don't know what to do with their lives dedicate your life to something worth doing so spend your life helping your mom with everything cuz I mean I'm a kid too I mean I grew up my mom wanted to clean the whole house the way of getting out of cleaning the house is to you know escape to a different room go to the bathroom for 25 35 minutes you know disappear to a certain room and then towards the end of it she's just going get so frustrated she won't even ask you help anymore that's a pretty rotten way of doing but that's what us kids did you know sometimes but so if you don't know what to do with your life help others with their lives you can always help your mom watch question you can always help your help your dad uh cook something you can always help others so if you don't know what to do with your life help others in their lives living for Jesus is living for others um see five things you're the best at what would be five things I'm the best at I don't I don't know um I don't want to talk about what I'm great at that's weird um Emma Sanger hello what's up guys how's it going uh let's see morning routine what's my morning team I'll roll out of bed uh attend the first meeting of the day do the usual things uh listen to a cool song listen to the listen to whatever I'm at in the Bible um how do I how do you deal with loss find something better than the loss pray about it sing about it um be there for others sing Listen to tapes things like that it's really what you can do uh when it comes to dealing with loss you just want to do your best with whatever you're doing really be the man that other people don't want to be what's realize what you really did wrong and then it can actually affect you because it unless you failed then you really don't know what the uh the what it's like like to not have something until you lose something you really don't know how valuable it was you can know how valuable it was but not as true as you can if if you lose so when you're um so failure is the best teacher because it's better than anything what's up I'm sorry I forgot your name sister sh I'm sorry I know it was your birthday the the day so uh happy late birthday hope you had an awesome birthday it's actually my birthday in 11 fired from a job you were doing wrong maybe you weren't maybe they just mean to you but you were doing wrong and there's really no coming back from it you have to you know so what who cares who's next and go on to the next job and failur a great teacher because you can't fake failure failure's there you can try to fake success but when it comes to failure you're either failing or you're winning really let's see oh this is fun one social Customs are was of time well it depends what do you mean by social custom social Customs an an accepted established or expected pattern of behavior social Customs guide behavior and can replace the need to make choices for example it is a Social customer in many countries that a man should open a door for woman well that's a good part but other social social Customs are in a lot of areas now if it's according to the Bible of the message I will go according to that but if it's just random social custom I'm not going to adhere to it because I don't um I'm not going to sacrifice being who I am so that people will like me I don't care she going to be me sometimes sometimes I'm wrong though but but or sometimes I'm wrong though but it just depends
