things as that Welcome to the hello everybody we are here I was playing I actually wait for uh for Lewis to join the not Tom we'll wait for Bill Lewis to join then have him join what's up brother hope I'm not pronouncing your name wrong I'm still wondering if I'm doing that right or Not by the way go ahead and request a drone when you get a chance brother hello hello what's up Lord all right but Lewis let's do it if it'll work that would be beautiful just be amazing please work work there Hey Brother Hey Brother David God bless you God bless you sorry uh we uh I'm sorry I'm late we were playing a tennis game and it went to uh six seven overtimes the tennis game you said yeah with my Dad we lost but it was really close man that's awesome I haven't played uh tennis in a while but uh it's fun they're the times I did play it uh and I had I had fun I'm not good enough I'm just is my 30th time playing maybe and they've all been playing for over 50 years so still [ __ ] really I didn't know your dad was so athletic oh he's just really smart and so I'm athletic too yeah uh when he was in college or when he was in high school he ran track and uh he used to run like five miles a day um yeah he actually heard from uh from from God to move here in the pastor here while he was running and he heard about having another baby called Ruth when he was uh running as well okay he's a nice brother and your mom is very sweet too yeah how long have you guys how long have you done my family um I guess off and on I started when we started attending brother Dale's Church uh in Georgia back in 2014 well here we are in Georgia but uh that's when I started attending brother Dale's Church full time and then during the fellowship meetings um that's when I started to get to know your dad more even though I had already seen him several times uh when I lived in South Carolina uh up in Ruth North Carolina at the camp meetings up there the missionary camp meetings uh I would see him I just didn't know who he was but I officially met him as here at our church so I see I see very cool most uh I've shaken your hand and and got to meet the rest of your other family brothers and sisters do you Professor brother Lewis or Brother Louie or um well originally in Spanish it's Luis Luis I usually tell people to just say Luis you know if you forget you can say Lewis it don't matter I just usually tell Luis because when they go write it down uh on on paper then they'll misspell it they'll usually put l-e-w-i-s or l-o-u-i-s and never l-u-i-s and I said I said are you just making it too difficult it's Luis when I say Luis then they usually put l-u-i-s so yeah I usually go by Louise very cool so but thank you for joining here relevant questions welcome I'll put in the chat and then pin it here we go thank you for joining us uh super cool Lord willing and leave a lot of mission work and um super cool to have you on I guess I'll just go ahead and have you pray then we'll go right into it okay birthday we'll do that uh let me just say first of all that thank you for for inviting me and just a just a privilege anything that we can say to help someone that's definitely what we want to do thanks for coming on yeah well let's have a word of prayer Lord Jesus we come before you once again we thank you Father for the opportunity that we have Lord through this Avenue lord to bless people and we ask Lord that you have your way father that everything that we say this evening Lord would be honored to you and and Lord you're annoying our conversation and anointed here as well Lord to receive a blessing Lord and we ask these things now and bless brother David Lord in his efforts father to uh just do something for you we ask these things in Jesus Christ's name amen amen amen very good so you've done a lot of uh Mission work tell us about that well um I I started doing uh I'm not gonna tell every single detail but I started doing a mission work back when I was uh I was probably back in early 2000s and uh and uh I started at that time I wasn't ministering yet I wasn't preaching but I was going helping ministers uh interpret um from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English and so I had uh I had preachers that would ask me hey uh you know invite me and you come to Peru with me or can you come to Mexico with me and and interpret for me so that's how that's how it all got started but I always had ever ever since I I I became a Christian I always had a um a desire for for Missions to help out in the mission field for one I like to travel so that helps and then two uh you know it's it helps to uh you know spread the gospel as well when you when you put those things together and so um you know one one of the best greatest missionaries ever and probably the first one in the New Testament is Jesus Christ so uh and he he was and so he gave us the the uh the command and you know go eat go you to uh all the world and preach the gospel and so um you can never go wrong when you get into Mission so um when I got married to my wife uh when we married um I know it was the Lord that that joined put put us together because she has the same mindset as I do uh she loves Mission work and uh and she loves to travel as well so so we've been uh serving the lord uh in that way um when I started ministering uh in 2009 when the Lord called me to to preach um we dedicated ourselves more to to go in at least at least once a year take a trip and uh and the Lord lately has been we've been working the last few years mainly in Nicaragua and Honduras uh it's where the Lord has opened a lot of doors uh lately so that's what we've been doing and that's kind of in a nutshell that's what that's that's what I've been doing in missions so why why missions what made you want to do that well for one you know it's uh I was unliking to travel of course I don't know who who doesn't I don't have others I love to travel yeah but but but but two um um of course you know it's to help people spiritually you know and that's the main thing is to spread the gospel anything that we can do um obviously you know Mission starts from home and so so if you're not willing to to even preach to your next door neighbor then what are you doing you know going to another country you see so um you should be you should be willing to to you know to at least talk to your neighbor or or or or anybody out here locally before you even think about going to India or Honduras or Nicaragua you know so um but the needs the needs that were there because to be honest with you there's still places in those areas that have not even heard the the the the message and so you know if we could be a help in doing that that was uh I I just say Lord You know here I am send me you know and the other thing too is uh you know in 2007 is my first daughter was born and it was very important for my for my wife and me to get them involved as well I have two daughters now and uh to get them involved and so ever since uh they were little we've been taking them um they've been traveling outside of the country and uh they've gone to several countries and and they've been involved in helping and so we wanted we wanted that to be part of their life as well and their and their experience and their growth and so yeah those three things is is probably what that drives us the most obviously the most is the gospel but you know yeah interesting interesting so what would be uh what would have been your biggest challenges that you've that you've had to face doing Mission work I'm sure it's all easy and it's never a difficult thing right well there's different types of mission work you know there is there is the kind you know where where you know you go and you build the orphanages or you go and help build a house or or or or something like that that's fine but the but of course you know what we try to concentrate on is mainly you know preaching the gospel and uh and helping others spiritually if we can help build a house or help build an orphanage or or do something like that those are extra things and uh you know we have uh helped in areas like that as well while we're while we're ministering in different places um but um I'm sorry what was your question again Brother David I just lost my train of thought you're fine uh what have been the biggest challenges you guys have had to face um doing Mission work there um probably let's see biggest challenge is um definitely going well just different areas but uh it is is um traveling for sure I mean for one going from one area to another and having to leave your family behind uh yeah uh like two years ago we took a trip to Honduras and uh there was areas up where Believers live up up high in the mountains five hours away from civilization and um and my wife wanted to go so bad but it wasn't recommended for them to go it was just going to be too dangerous so I said oh my goodness what am I getting into [Music] but uh it's hard to leave you know your family behind you know being that and we were in the same country you know it wasn't that but you know we were going to be away from each other I wasn't going to have hardly any any cell phone uh connectivity and so those are the things you know uh just leaving and and I've left my wife here you know back home um for three weeks straight uh when I took a trip to the Philippines one time and those things are tough those things are tough because sometimes they can't go with you but uh we try to do everything we can to take them and my wife to join me because she's definitely a a great asset and um and so those that's probably that's probably one of the challenges things you know leaving away some Comforts I guess you could say that's kind of tough you know when you don't have air conditioner everywhere what was that like you know it it is but then eventually you just get used to it um you know sometimes we just we just have it so easy and we get so relaxed in that in that uh laodicea mentality uh back home but uh you know just things like that the Comforts um uh sometimes it's tough mainly for the for the for for your children you know um you know they they it was tough for them at the beginning but you know eventually they get used to it um and it's also tough brother brother David uh just to uh just to see the poverty that people live in sometimes I've been in some places that that you you wonder why how how do people even live in in those ways and uh and and the unsanitary uh what conditions that people live in uh you know the sometimes the lack of bathrooms uh there's no privacy sometimes hardly uh where you go to the bathroom sometimes it's just a hole in the middle of the ground with with with flies flying around it [Music] oh goodness and uh and that's what you got to do and and uh and you know it being getting sick as well I think that's another challenge too you know you just don't know uh you know if somebody's gonna give you some water that that's not good or they could give you water you know they could give you good clean water but then um you know it'd be bottled water but then they'll put the ice from the like the city water or from the area and uh so you have to be careful with that too because I've gotten sick in the Philippines uh because of that tell us about that it was uh it was it was back in 2013 and uh I was by myself and it was towards the end of my of my journey there three weeks in the Philippines and when I was coming home um on the airplane it was about an 18-hour flight and uh and I started getting sick around probably around the I don't know maybe 10th hour of the flight and uh my just constantly in the bathroom and it it ain't comfortable it ain't comfortable in an airplane bathroom especially walking up and down those aisles in there and people seeing they're like why is he going to the bathroom so much oh no and uh yeah it's uh and so uh but we made it through you know with with some cold chills and and and and and but we made it through on that trip so I think I think for a missionary you know that's probably one of the things that he that you have to battle with the most is the conditions of the city and how that those conditions are gonna are gonna affect you um I've heard some stories of people you know brothers from here in the states that that I was just recently with a brother up in North Carolina um and he was telling me one in in Ecuador he he almost he almost died um he got so sick I think it was Ecuador uh they gave him some some shrimp uh or some Lobster I think it was and uh he didn't know at that time that he was allergic to Lobster and uh and so he got sick and just diarrhea for like constantly and he felt like he was gonna die and so but you know those are the risks that that you take and you know obviously you just commit yourself to the Lord you know that the Lord has called you there so he said that if he's called you there then he's going to protect you and watch over you the whole time and it's just gonna guide the trip you know how would you know exactly he said you gotta be called to go there um how would you know if you're called to uh go into the um go and be in missionary somewhere well it's almost like it's almost like preaching and I know that we're probably gonna maybe get into a little bit about that but it's almost like that obviously you know you have to find the will of the Lord first and we know his will is his word right and so the word tells us you know go into all the world preach the gospel it's a commandment for all of us to do that so yeah sometimes we think oh we well I have to get on a plane and travel to India I gotta get on an airplane and travel to Philippines or whatever but but going into all the world there's also you know talking to your next door neighbor walk or talking to your co-worker you know um and so so if you know it's the the you know if it's in the word that's that's one so it's in the word so Jesus confirms it right two is is the need is there and and and you um you know people people actually give you invites to go uh Hey brother can you please come during this certain time uh we're holding these special meetings or we're holding these uh these uh this youth uh this youth camp we would love for you to come I take that also as a as a Vindication that uh no oh boy I've had the last uh two Ugandan pastors that came here they both invited me to go and visit the there and help and preach there uh-huh for over 20 years so they're not just some random guy messaging me online I've known them for 20 years so I don't know said that they came and invited they came personally uh yeah when they came uh brother brother Joseph um there's brother Herbert mccobba and brother um Brother Joseph uh I forgot his name is and I'll have to find him he also visited to it just like where the Herbert little shorter he's a pastor there as well okay and uh they've been busy for a while I said yeah I would love for you to come and visit and like only if God leaves me too that's awesome um yeah but then but that's that's the thing then then if if they're just about three men that's the other one I'm sorry for the Joseph Freeman Joseph Freeman Brother Joseph at Freeman yeah okay yeah I don't know you know but that that would be that would be then your your after that it would be that there there is that there is a way for you to go you have no obstacles uh things are are are they're opening up and and sometimes you know you get these invitations and well the best thing for you to say Brother David is I'm going to be praying about it even though in your heart at that moment you feel like hey I would love to be there but the best thing for you to do is just wait on it for a little bit I'm gonna pray for it and and and if the if if that desire keeps growing and it seems like the Lord is opening in a way where like you're checking flights and things are are you know they're looking good as far as price and things like that um uh see this it seems like things are lining up as time goes by then you know uh I believe it's it's the Lord um so you just move on sometimes when you really don't know what the will of the Lord is and I think this applies what I'm about to say is it applies to anything but sometimes you really don't know what the law the will of the Lord is until you actually take action to do it you see what I'm saying yeah you you prayed about it you know it's in the word um and in this case you know you've gotten an invite and then now start taking action as you start taking action then you'll know that it's uh uh the only the Lord will lead you lead you you know to where if you should or not you know and that that applies for anything out of the country before I have been to uh Chile when when Anna got married about six years ago and um at the end of October Lord willing I'll be going to Canada to meet my little nephew for the first time uh okay so it'll be nice but because it was great I really enjoyed it um the uh Pastor brother Omar their their Pastor there he thought that I was uh 27 when I was 17. so that was fun um started asking me all about why aren't you married yet you're 27 years old and uh yeah oh thanks I'll do a look uh you look like you could pass for Mid late 20s thanks I'm I was 17. I appreciate it I'm 22 now it was 20 I was 17 back then okay you were 17 at that time if only had 17 now that'd be great well I enjoyed it it was uh it was a long time ago but it was it was awesome yeah isn't brother Omar uh uh Alex's dad uh but they're almost as Alex's Dad I just um forgot the name of their Pastor there yeah that's brother brother Flores brother Flores yes for the Flores that's that's his name yeah I haven't been there but I just know the churches interesting what what was it what is it what is it like witnessing people though that have varying levels of knowing about God from knowing a little bit to what's God you know I'm sure you've encountered various levels of people with different levels of uh knowing about God or not yeah I'm not sure if I understood your question can you repeat that yeah sure I'm sorry I'm sure when you go into Mission work you you encounter people that know about Christianity or David never heard of a god at all what it would have been what has that been like for you what what is that like well um you know when you when you go to some of these places obviously you're going to with the people that are going to receive you are are usually Christians they're Believers and so uh the majority of the places that you do go they're already Believers there and and so um we'll give you an example there are times that you uh do go or do certain things that you're preaching to you know unsaved people you know people that are not Christians um um so one other one of the examples something uh that that I had in in Honduras is uh is preaching on on the radio there uh and the brothers some brothers there they have radio program there uh and so uh we preached there and there's people you know there's just all kinds of people listening so another another uh Church there another brother has a TV program that that's on there and you know he invited me to to preach on there and so we were just we were just preaching on there and and so um sometimes we we you you know in those ways you reach out to to the loss but then there's other times where where we are uh ministering like in uh under a tent uh and and and and and it's usually it's Believers that that come you know and and listen to the word but then there's those other ones around that are not Christians that that are interested in wanting to hear hear what's going on there's a big tent there you know a lot of people what's happening and so you take the you take the opportunity I I say every single time that you preach um always take the opportunity to to preach the the gospel the Salvation message right some some some somewhere uh weave that in because you just don't know who who you're going to encounter who's listening that might that might need to hear that you know yeah but you know the that you re you know receiving the new birth uh receiving the Holy Spirit um so those are always things that you can never go wrong preaching in in in anywhere um wherever you go and so I always keep that in my in the Forefront whenever I'm out traveling uh preaching I always present the gospel the Salvation message to people you know and during your preaching what uh we know the Salvation Mission but do you um do you also at what point do you introduce brother Brandon Mentor how do you how do you handle that exactly um well like I said the majority of the time um people you know you are preaching already to Believers you know so you you're you're already quoting brother Branham you're already you're already preaching the message telling them things that they're already familiar with um but um again you can you can uh sometimes in the crowd you can see that there's people they're there that need the gospel um so you preach the Salvation message to them but but but they were they were already being been hearing during that service they would already been hearing something about a prophet why are they quoting a prophet why are they uh you know and so it that might get them interested um I've had I've had situations where they don't they haven't come to me directly but hey I heard the brother talking about a prophet and they'll last maybe the pastor of that church you know whoever and and so you really don't have to go to the people and to go tell them hey God sent a prophet you know which that's good if you can do that but uh uh as you are ministering to the bride of Christ and they bring people that need to hear uh the message or they they need to hear you know the the gospel they'll learn about that you know and then you can sit down with them if the opportunity is there um or you know the local Pastor or the local Ministry you know can can do that um really I haven't I I ought to be honest with you I haven't really sat down too many times one-on-one with with with individuals telling them about you know God sent a message or a prophet in this day um because usually when you do that when you preach in those places It's usually the local Ministry there that that that does that with with the people there you know the local people uh I had one time one time I was ministering to Nicaragua or we were I wasn't ministering I was just there there was another brother preaching and there was there was a drunk man that just walked in you know to the service and he was making a a you know uh a uh noise there at the beginning um if I remember correctly that they they they uh they settled him down um they settled him down and uh uh you know I believe I believe they they I don't know he eventually I think he just walked away but there has been several times uh where where you just have like drunk people just go in in the middle of the service we had we had an occasion like that happen to brother Bob in January what was that like when me and him went to Nicaragua we were we were in the island of ometepe and uh it's an island over there where uh it's two volcanoes there it's really pretty and the only way you could get to the island obviously is by boat it's about an hour and uh there's a little Message Church there a little a little young it was a church that was converted from Pentecost and they're they're they're they they received the message about 12 years ago and uh as it was after brother Bob had preached uh administered I was interpreting for him and uh uh we set we sat down and then the pastor was there inviting anyone if they would like to if they need the Lord if they need the Holy Ghost and uh this one man comes in in the middle of the service and he starts he starts saying now what up this is what I have against you all I mean he was he was drunk he's like this is what I have against you all let me get some water real quick I was about to choke there trying to talk like a drunk man laughs uh he said this is what I have against you all and he said it's because you all talk bad about uh Mary and you know Catholic the Catholic and you want to bring her down and say and and and and uh something on the lines about how how you know he defended Mary and and we don't uplift Mary and we don't pray the rosary and and the brother the pastor was trying to tell him to sit down you know you're welcome to join us listen in sit down and finally there was a deacon uh that had to just go sit him down and and uh so you you find those things uh you're gonna you experience those things but uh it's like Jesus said you throw the net you throw the net whoever you're sometimes gonna catch fish but then you're sometimes gonna catch Turtles and you're sometimes Gonna Catch You know other types of animals and you just kind of kind of let the Lord deal with those you know as he needs to what's funny is that we saw that same drunk man at walking in the middle of the dirt dirt road there that was in the middle of the right in front of that went right in front of the uh the church there and uh and uh but then we didn't think that he was going to go inside the church so it was kind of funny we had seen him already foreign what's that one my daughter's name the one that's commenting uh Bella Bella's saying uh Poppy the Pastor said do you want to accept Jesus as your savior and the drunk guy said nah not today [Laughter] yeah he did yeah of course he said it in Spanish he said no not today [Laughter] and later on uh after the service uh no this was another bro this is another brother but it was another drunk a drunk man that that we we were heading back to the place where we were staying and he was laying just drunk in the middle of the road just just just just there and and we almost bought ran over him in the vehicle that we were in um but uh you know it's just the car a common occurrence in those in those places you know they see that all the time I mean it's almost they've gotten used to it but yeah it's a but you know you go and if if I can sit down with a drunk man um and help him it's hard to deal with a drunk person though you know but there's some that are quiet some that will listen yeah some that can talk your ear off or laugh or laugh or they're laughing the whole time you know uh you don't even know what they're laughing about you know but uh inside joke nah not today [Laughter] yeah no not today it was too drunk for that I guess that's terrible but David you know one thing though is is just you keep in mind that every one of them has a soul you know yeah and and so the drunk man needs needs the Salvation needs God just as much as the sober man does but obviously you know you have to wait until he gets sober you know before he he cannot understand anything so yeah that's right what are they um what is it here's a very specific question the only I guess only preachers would get uh what is it like preach what do you preach from when you when you go to the specifications from your iPad do you have your notes written out and kiss your hyper doesn't work if they have places where you can charge it or how does that work there um yeah I have a I have a little iPad Mini this actually is this one right here little iPad Mini uh I don't like to carry big tablets or big uh I know some some brothers do they got their big computers up there I I don't I don't like that personally I have uh just a little small thing and I also carry my Bible with me and uh uh I have uh all my like my notes and and usually in a Google doc that's where I do all my notes and then I just download it offline um save them locally to my to my iPad and then if I need to make changes to it you know I can do that locally you know and then whenever I get internet they'll upload you know uh immediately and update the document so usually I I preach out of that um uh the the sermons sermons that I preach I uh for most of the time I I I have already had preached them here in my church here in Georgia or maybe somewhere else here in the United States uh and then what I do is I just translate them into into Spanish uh my notes and so usually I have one word document one Google doc with both the English notes and the Spanish notes and so whenever I need the Spanish part I just go directly to the Spanish part and whenever I need the English part just go directly so it's all in one place usually and they have internet there too huh do they always have internet there how does that work they don't you don't always have internet there you know and that again that's the reason why I keep them offline uh almost all my sermons I keep them offline um but you know I usually uh sometimes you have to follow the leading of the Lord too you know because uh I've I've come there's been times where I've I was gonna preach a certain message and the Lord just changes uh the message right there and then I can remember one example when we were when I was in the Philippines um I was going to preach a certain message there in an island and we were having a house meeting at this little this little group was having a house meeting and uh and as I was studying and I was always looking over some notes that I already had had written down from the previous time that I had preached the Lord just put on my heart uh to go talk about the Treasures of the heart and I didn't know why you know where Jesus says you know wherever your Treasures it is there will your heart be also and I didn't I didn't know why but I I didn't really have notes for that you know to to but I just had the scriptures and uh and then so I just got it I jotted a few things down that just came to my mind and and uh maybe a quote or something uh and uh I preached that that that that that evening and when after after I got done preaching I was walking with the brother who was kind of spearheading that little house meeting there and he told me he said he said brother Louise he said it was it was so interesting that you preached that he said because here on this island a lot of the brothers are in here especially the brothers they're caught up with treasure hunting and and some of them have been had their heart have been uh uh they've been LED astray because they feel like you know they don't go they don't come to church anymore they they don't and he was one of them he was one of them he said I I I I I got I got LED astray uh because I was I was so busy trying to seek treasure uh and literal treasure like actual golden pirate chest I guess and uh and he said that that was an issue there and I had no idea that that was something that uh and uh and so that's that's what the Lord says sometimes you know you you you follow the leading the door the Lord and you might you might be wondering but but Lord this this this these notes sound good you know this message I think they'll but no sometimes it's just you just go with how the Lord leads you you know and and you'll you'll you'll know you'll know when the Lord you'll just feel like a burning it's a burning we're like why why is it that I keep getting pointed to this to this and and and things aren't seem to be uh you know not not really clicking with these with this other scripture or these notes set of notes they already have and it's like well Lord maybe this is what the direction you want me to go so are the sermons You Preach any different when you're out in the missions or what are they same as the US how are they different if they are no no well in the uh out in the mission field usually I I tend to preach more Evangelistic Style um and the reason why is because um you know it's it's more of a is usually more Evangelistic type settings so again that's the reason why you know you you it draws the center and the in The Believer at the same time you know but but you're trying to draw all you need centers out that are out there um but yeah it's uh here look here at my church is more uh it's more teaching like you know I kind of you know have to calm down I've had I've had some I've had a sister she went with us to Nicaragua's a couple of some some young people from our church even Michael Michael bernoullway was in Nicaragua with us in January and uh and so they got to see me preach out in the uh out in on in at a youth camp and and they told me is what they told me the library Louise why why don't you preach like this at our church and uh you know it's just I guess the atmosphere you know it also helps you know you have you have a it's it's a lot of a lot of people there and they're saying amen they're pulling you know and and uh and then you know usually a youth camp it's a youth camp so you're trying to it's more of an Evangelistic type you know of preaching you're not going to sit down and break the Seven Seals you know fair enough yeah at a youth camp you know or Daniel 70 weeks or so so that yeah that's that's usually how I go during out in the mission field how is how is the uh Mission work Changers perspective on the all the all the different privileges that we have in the US like AC and a bunch of restaurants a mile away and Walmart and all bathrooms and all the different things that we have how does it change your perspective on what we have well I let me say this in you know to those that are joined in and listening if you ever get the opportunity to take at least one trip outside of your country to do any Mission related type of work I suggest just that you do it at least one time uh it will change your life whether it be for the good or the bad but most of most of the time it's going to it's going to give you a different perspective uh of what it is of what you know and it's going to give you more appreciation of of what you have um and how blessed you are you know in some of these places they don't have all of the message translated like you and me like you and me have it in English and so with what they have they uh they go with and and they treasure that and and so it gives you more of an appreciation of the of of the of the content of the books and the different things that we have here that we can easily access and some of these places don't even have internet they have to go they have to go down you know maybe an hour or two to just go down to this towards the city and get some some internet or something and so that's where they can download you know they have a phone or something uh they can download a message in digital format there or or um you know or if they or there's a book some books you know that they can they can grab uh Bibles Bibles uh you know we have we see Bibles everywhere we got we got 15 20 Bibles in our house and sometimes sometimes they just only have maybe one or two and maybe sometimes just one and that they they they hold on to that Bible and they keep that Bible and they watch like like it's for dear life um so it brings you appreciation you know in those areas I just saw my my daughter they're saying smooth roads I'm guessing that's not correct you know this is how you this is how you ride you know on on the roads there in a lot of the places in it and it uh you do have an appreciation for smooth roads and and and uh some order as far as as far as traffic is concerned uh some places there I I've heard where there's there's people that that you know they'll be an ambulance driving by uh they'll be passing the ambulances with their lights on and stuff people you know the ambulance would be riding with their lights on and there's no respect you know you just you just keep going I heard that about the uh in Venezuela so you know here at least we have some some some respect towards things like that in the order and so and so those some of those places don't have that don't have that but it's funny that because you don't see that much traffic accidents like you do here they have more chaos but yet yeah I don't I haven't seen I haven't seen not one traffic accident except one time in the Philippines and it was because there was a big truck a dump truck that that crashed into a set of other cars and it was because he was going down the hill and the brakes failed on that dump truck uh it's what I heard and it killed uh it killed some people there thanks yeah so um yeah like I said earlier you know air conditioner air conditioning just different things like that you know you do come to appreciate uh what we have you know but most importantly you know the access to the word that that we have that some of those some of those Brothers they don't have uh but yet with what they do have you'd be surprised of how much they know about the message it's like it's the Holy Spirit you know we'll take with this will take give them what they have and and we'll just expand on those things even though they haven't read all the all the brother Brown's messages you know this is the same Holy Ghost that's right so um so you're probably how long have you uh been preaching brother since 2009 I started and I started preaching yeah um 14 years what would be you preach Brothers right yes right a little over six years by God's grace okay all right yeah so since uh 2017 I guess um but let's say three things you'd say for the new people that joined to know whether or not they should do uh work in the missions or what would be the three most important things to look at to know if you if you're supposed to go well for first and foremost is is uh what's what's your purpose all right so if if your purpose is just to uh well I'm gonna use this to to to just sit around you know take advantage and drink pina coladas you know uh uh right next to the seed you know and then go to church services you know while I'm while I'm while I'm there you know but but mostly I wanna I wanna see what what you know what it's like you know be next to the beach or something like that so what are what are your purposes right or is it or is it to to help someone to get an opportunity to to to help someone to uh with your experience you know the best the best testimony that we have is our experience you see and so um so that that's that right there is first and foremost then second of all you know is if it's feasible for you to go if it is then try it out you know um Lily black I'm thinking no uh sister Lily there's uh they're they're virgin ones too okay um what and so then lost my train of thought uh the three things that you have to make sure you have before you go to missions and the first one was what's your purpose what is your purpose and and and also if if there is if there is a an opportunity there for you to go or is it a personal invite from someone that's actually or uh you know or if you can um you know if someone that is going is planning on going and they're inviting you to go with them you know uh that opens the door right there and so um I mean that's I think those three things uh uh is some things to to to consider um we all know it's the we all know it's it's it's uh brother Brandon said said the and I had it written down but brother Brandon said himself he said you're always in the will of the Lord when you're in missions and he said that in the message and time evangelism and he's and so whenever you can uh you can participate in in missions um you'll know you're always in the will of the Lord so um I would say those three things Brother David all right yeah and everything like you know I just saw a Brother's comment here you know uh just said that that he's been invited to go but it hasn't worked out well then that what that wasn't the will of the Lord then you know it wasn't the the will of the Lord for you because if the willow you know if it's the will of the Lord for you to be someplace you it he'll he'll make a way for you to be there you know that's a good question he says I'm not a preacher uh does that influence whether someone should go or not not at all because like I said your testimony your experience with what you have you know brother Brandon said brother Brown said uh uh tell others how your fire got lit you see and so even even in that even if it's just doing that with other people with other young people because I'll say this there's people there in in in those countries too that are struggling they have the same struggles just like you uh and uh and and if you you can you know if you can be a light to them you know how you maybe overcame a certain area in your life or or you know help them with your testimony and they can see they can see the fire in you that that usually that that Sparks life in some of the young people there in in that are struggling you know with uh I mean they have some of those Brothers those young younger brothers younger sisters they they struggle with the same same areas that that our young people here struggle with and and and it's hard because they're getting a lot of influence from Western culture you know where everybody carries a cell phone and so it's it's everybody has has a social media accounts and and and so over there they don't they don't uh it's harder for them to balance those things in their life and so if you've gotten that if you've put that balance in your life you know and and you know how to balance those things or if or if the Lord has helped you in a certain area in your life to overcome a certain area in your life and you can be a light in a personal way for them that would help them big time and and just and just being there just just having fun with them joking around with them laughing with them uh playing around with them that invites them it invites them to it draws them to you and uh and when you when you do that that gives you more of an opportunity to to help them in a spiritual way in a personal way it if sometimes you know we think that we need to go over there you know and they got to see the Bible under our hand and we're ready to preach every single time and and it's not that you know I sit down I I get I get with them and I I play soccer with them I I uh I kick a ball around with it I uh uh I play games with them and and that brings that brings the it gives them confidence in me that when I go to the pulpit and pre and preach they'll be more open to hear what I have to say um and so that's how you win people you know it's really how you win I see exactly right and part of winning them is preaching to them and speaking of preaching how did you how did you know you were uh led to be to preach yeah before we get to that but but David uh yeah just another example too is for the Sisters you know I know they're sisters too that uh how how they can how they can uh be in a you know if you are are feeling the desire to to go to the mission field and if you're married obviously that that helps a lot but you can be there in areas like my wife she helps in areas that I can't help other sisters uh in a personal way you see um sometimes you know people ask well why do you take your wife with me but it's it's that's one of the reasons why there's times where my wife can sit there sit down and help wash dishes with the sisters uh or or help cook meals and and they're talking to her and she's she's able to help them in personal ways that I can't do it you know and so the sis having a Sister there with you you know or you know if you're married uh is valuable it's very valuable and that's definitely a value that my wife brings to into the table in that in that regard um yeah brother Joseph that's that's exactly where I win God calls a man he calls his wife too those are the words of the prophet and I wholeheartedly believe that that that's that the Lord has done that for me and so and that's how you win that's how sisters win the hearts of the of this uh of the sisters there in those areas you get down to their level you wash the dishes with them and it's not a dishwasher either you are the dishwasher there's no button you press you get down and wash the dishes with them and you they they appreciate that because they feel that that they think that they have to serve you all the time because hey look you're coming from the United States and oh you know and we just gotta you know we just gotta but that's not that's not what we're there for you you you you know the word Minister and this and I guess Brother David this can this can go into what we're about to talk about how do you know when you're called to the ministry you know thing like that but but the word Minister means one that serves you know did you know that I think I I've heard that before yeah it's one that serves and and so who was the greatest Minister that ever lived Jesus Jesus you know what he got down and watched dirty feet and so why wouldn't be why wouldn't we get down to the level of people in their condition or in their or in their need to uh to bless them you see and so uh sometimes we have this idea that ministers we need to serve them or we need to and yes you do need to respect the ministry and we do need to respect ministers but a minister there has to have a true Minister I believe has the mindset that I'm here to serve you the congregation or the laity I'm not here to be served a minister is there to serve you and so I think also the people out in the mission or in other countries and and people appreciate that when you see that that you have that type of heart that that if they served you if they served you lizard in their plate and that's what they're eating iguana and you're not you're not asking for do you got KFC is it any good iguana it tastes like chicken if you know I had it in soup I had it in soup and uh it's just if you've ever had frog legs I don't know if you have you ever had frog legs yeah I have it's really good yeah so if you've had frog legs that's what iguana tastes like great sounds awesome what about when they uh what if they what about when they serve like uh something real real spicy or something like that you don't need spicy food do you eat it anywhere how do you deal with that no you you can tell them that this is too spicy for me you know and do you have you know just be honest with them they'll understand you know that's something because what if the spiciness you know tears your stomach up yeah good point so so you you don't want to eat that just to be uh you know just to be uh comfortable you know with them and or or to please them because you know it's going to do you damage you know um but if that's all they have and then you just say Lord um then help me help me to just get it down whatever I can get down you know ask them ask them if they got a fresh uh a glass of milk to drink with with that spicy food yeah a minister means to serve her they like that I think I have heard that as many things I've never dived deeper into it I I do like that because it does definitely fit in with what a Ministry is because difference between you and me and someone that maybe not be a preacher or whatever is if we go to we we go to a Pulpit one percent of our lives or less than half a one percent of our Lives the rest of it is the life that we live and how we help others and things like that it's very very little to do with being the pulpit really the world is our Pulpit really that's exactly right brother David I I totally I totally agree with that you know you know and when you're a minister you're a minister everywhere you know you have to you have to remember that you're a preacher uh in your church but you're a preacher outside of your church and the greatest thing that preaches is your life and uh that's what preaches the best and so you have to you have to make sure that you keep your testimony and um you know when you're driving in the car you know I've I've been there done that I've gotten upset you know and and I've honked at people you know they've pulled out in front of me you know but then you come back and you say Lord you forgive me for that uh and you say uh and you and you come back and you start thinking about you know hey what if what if later on down the road you know I've met that same person you know and and because of the way I acted over here I'm not gonna be effective in my in my testimony you know and so you always have to keep that in mind and that just that goes for anyone you know not just the ministry you know you always have to keep your testimony wherever you go um people are watching you you know people are watching you uh you'd be surprised who's watching your life and uh We're not gonna be we're not perfect but we we we have a perfect Holy Ghost yeah so here we do they have a perfect Holy Ghost so how do you know if you are called to be that Minister that does preach behind the pulpit too well the David I'm in um well we know we know if obviously we go back to the word right and the word the word tells us you know preach the gospel you know and so we know it's biblical we know that that that's so so that's number one but but two you know there is a there is a um there is a knowing I guess you could say uh that just you it doesn't leave you alone you know for a long time when I was uh when I was just going to uh with ministers to interpret for them you know in other countries and things like that I um I you know I I never thought that I'd be preaching and I never I never really wanted to but you start having a gnawing in you that you can't get away from and and so at that point if you have a pastor you know that's that's a person that you need to talk to and talk to your pastor and um and and so he'll he'll usually give you he'll usually give you a uh what's what happened with me you know he gives you a trial he's like okay well let's let's see if it if it is the will of the Lord again that's where I go back to sometimes you don't fully know if it's the will of the Lord until you actually um you actually actually start doing you know yeah and uh and then at that moment when you're at that moment when you're doing it that then as as it's happening or after you preached your first sermon you you and and you're like wait a second nah I don't think this is this is for me then then that's that's a key that's that's something key you know that that you can look at okay well maybe that's you that was just me then this that's that's all just me you know you can leave it alone if that knowing starts leaving you then but then there's there's if that no one keeps continuing continuing continuing and there's there's just something in you um you you you you can't get away from it then that's a that's a good indication it's a good indication that that that uh and obviously what are your intentions is your intentions for you to preach so that you can seem very smart before the people is your intentions for you to preach uh is for you to hey look look everybody look what I look what I can do you know uh you know or or look what I can say you know uh what are your intentions or is your intentions to try to save someone you know obviously you can't save them but it is the gospel you're preaching the gospel you know yeah so what was it like for you then 2009 how did you know personally um well like I said I was it was going back to that that strong that that's that's something that just wouldn't leave you alone you know and and uh also also the Pat the church that I was going to at the time uh in South Carolina the pastor there also he didn't have anyone else to help him he didn't really have any other ministers to help them so I saw that need there too but at the same time uh I was seen I was feeling this desire you know to start ministering so that's what I went I went to to the to the pastor and I said I said Hey Brother um um you know this is this is what's happening in my life and and so white what he gave me is he gave me gave me the trial sermon he said okay well let's see you know let's see let's see uh if this is what the Lord wants for you and so um I preached and and it was successful here's another key thing too as well there there's there's uh the brother Brandon I believe he says something like this that a gift you know makes his makes way um what is it that he says you probably heard this quote before brother brother David but uh a gift makes way for itself right in other words if you if there's a gift there in your life it it will there will be doors that automatically open up for that gift and one of the doors is that is that the opportunity will come up for you to preach right and also people will be blessed by what you have given them um and so uh those are those are little key things that you can start seeing okay so so in my in my case you know I started reaching in 2009 the Lord would seemed to be blessing what I you know my Ministry act freaks for about a year and I'll be honest with you brother David uh after about a year I I I got I was I was questioning myself how many times have you preached in that year let's see yeah I don't know exactly how many times I preached during that year but it was probably maybe I don't know maybe 10 times Maybe well I was questioning because I was I was wondering I was I was like oh Lord is this just me and I would is this just me it's just because I wanted to be sure that I was doing the right thing you know I just didn't want to just uh because I still I had mine the minds uh in my mind I wanted to go uh to the mission do Mission work and I wanted to and so I I wanted to be able to be a service to the people but I didn't I wanted to know that it was God working the whole time and um and I took a Hiatus for about a year I took a break for in 2010 I took a break um and I said Lord until you actually show me that you need you want me to be behind that pulpit and I know for a fact that that's what you and so sometimes it sometimes you know those those brothers who might be uh considering you know wondering you know am I called the preach sometimes it might be it might be needful for you to put a fleece before the Lord you know and that's what I did and I remember one night uh one night I was I was preached I was praying and I was just crying out to the Lord and I was telling the Lord Lord uh this this this this this knowing that this pull I still have but but but I want to know I I don't I want to know that that that's really what what you and which which I really really at the time in 2009 I didn't really get down to business like that like like I did that in 2010 and so I think when when I got down to really business with God um I said Lord if you still want me to preach then show me a clear sign that that's what you want me to do and and I'm sure and sure enough about a couple of days later brother David I got a phone call from a brother a pastor in North Carolina he had never invited me to preach before it never called me I'm just out of the blue and he said brother Louise would come can you come preach for us and uh and uh I I took that as a sign from God and so that that that's that's when I when I started I started again and I haven't stopped since then you know and and and and and I know the Lord has blessed because um you know invites and and and and and you know the opportunities the doors opened up um especially in the mission in the mission field uh automatically I wasn't looking for them um there was Brothers coming to me and so that's how things opened up for me and that's how I knew because I wasn't trying to push and pull I didn't want to invite myself anywhere and I didn't want to uh you know to uh to you know the the people were coming to me and so I took that that's a sign of the Lord that that's and so that's why I say the brother Brandon said that the gift oh makes is the gift there's a gift in your life to preach you know then then the gift will make it way for itself you don't have to push and pull and and you know and and I know that there's Brothers there's we have evangelist brothers that that that's how they you know that's how they live that that's that's how they make they're living and um sometimes they they have to do that they have to you know hey brother I'm going to be in the area or whatever you know that's a different thing you know but yeah I'm not an evangelist so uh at that time definitely I I wasn't evangelizing but still the opportunities were opening up uh automatically and and that is one that is a big big thing right there when the opportunities are opening up automatically um that that could be where the Lord wants you to be you know that's that the evangelists you know that's their calling you know so how do you think they would uh a guy would know which which office he's supposed to be then again that gift Will Make Way for itself when you say the gift what do you what exactly do you mean by the gift what does that mean exactly the gift would be um well we know we have a five-fold ministry right yeah obviously as a preacher you know there's different styles of you of you preaching right we have the the event we have the the pastor we have the teacher right um and so forth uh there's there's mainly there's two forms of preaching either teaching or evangelize yeah right so you're gonna fall into one of those two camps so if you're if you're and so when I the gift really is is is is if it it is the help of the people like um are can you help people with the work you see um or you know helping people with the word and and is it um is it something that that is just you know just you just wanting to just get up there and just just say whatever do you really or do you really feel that God has given you something to say because when people go to church they want to hear the word you know they don't want to hear your opinion they don't want to hear your your uh uh you making them laugh and cracking jokes all the time although that that that that that sometimes that happens you know they kind of the attention of the people you know but but but uh they want to hear the word so uh that the gift that the Lord has given you to break down the word to them whether it be through evangelism or whether it be through a teaching um is that there is that there and I guess that's why what I mean more about about about the gift you know and the holy Spirit the holy spirit is the gift in your life you see so the holy spirit will always have something to to say and uh and he will not he won't say anything outside of his word that's exactly that's all really good and and I guess you I guess you know it's also it's the way that you can connect with people right um you know um I'm I'm sometimes I'm I'm considered the the prop uh preacher I really like to use prop stuff like that but it's and I guess that's probably why I guess you know young people they like they they enjoy what I have to say at least I guess they did I try to I try to make it as simple for them as possible um and uh I think that's very important if you can simplify the word to the people and and that and that you can bring it down to their levels um that really helps that that's a gift within itself some people can't do that some people can't get it down I've had I've had uh one time I preached a sermon um it was about about the uh blind Bartimaeus and uh I dressed up like blind Bartimaeus well that was what I was preaching I had I had I had I had I had a blanket over me and I had my little can and I was I was there uh um you know jiggling money you know and I was just kind of trying to bring the the you know the the the example of what it was like to be there I don't know if I did a good job or not but Mike says you have wonderful props brother Lewis [Laughter] so I I guess you know those those are just those are just uh you know the get your gift is you'll know what your gift is you know as as the Lord is leading you to you know in your ministry you know and if your gift is really to just break down the word you know you know uh in in a teaching type of way you know and you know you you know how to do charts and you know how to draw on boards and and do PowerPoint presentations and stuff like that well man maybe the gift your gift is is teaching you know uh but if you're but but if if you if you're just uh you can't preach slow and you just uh you know you just really you can't you you can't be behind your the pulpit the whole time you just gotta get out from behind the pulpit and stuff like that well maybe maybe the Lord's called you to evangelize you know so it's it's how you are as a as a person as well is how God works with you too you know um and and I'm glad that God does it that way because man if everybody it'd be boring if everybody was preached the same way you know yeah I'm glad that God has has uh has multiple ways of of delivering his word to his people you know and I don't know I mean I haven't heard you freaks further David I don't know what what's your style of preaching I'll have to uh I'll have to send you over on my sermons or something but usually it's pretty fast uh it can be pretty Evangelistic but at times I sometimes it can be teaching I'm I'm young I can't really teach but um I guess I can uh try to you know I do uh sales as a living and part of that it was for a long time explaining really complicated phone stuff to people to older people maybe just people that don't understand and maybe taking real complicated things and trying to put it into words that are applicable and actually cause action from someone because that's what we do for a living so maybe that's maybe that's what God wants me to do but yeah it's you the style is really more uh probably Evangelistic but I can also get them it also sometimes goes down to regular speaking like this and saying you know I'm here with you I'm I'm appreciating myself here we just wanna we wanna help and also I I try to I'm young I can't teach the people like you message people shouldn't be doing this but I can say more along the lines of Saul Saul had a grudge saw Audrey grudge against David and when he was supposed to you know my best last time I preach give God everything when Saul was supposed to be giving God everything he was giving this Grudge everything and people automatically apply everything to themselves so I'd say it's probably more in the Evangelistic side but I am pretty my God is pretty technologically uh able so maybe it'll be teaching further on I don't I don't know what we shall see yeah well you do speak pretty fast I do yeah when I when I have an interpreter I tend obviously the sermon where I interpreted I tend to say now people we're gonna be doing this and then that and I do this and then that and I slow way down that's a whole different episode of my preaching honestly yeah yeah as uh yeah so um this is how God just deals with different individuals and and and also for the Brother David it's also at the moment you know I I I've seen ministers uh that that you know they preach they're usually slow type of preachers or or or teachers you know but they if they get around a certain environment and the people are pulling in such a way it brings something out in you you you're not out of them that wow I didn't know I didn't know my pastor had that in it yeah uh the gift is you know the people are pulling there for the uh and and what they're pulling is for that gift whatever God whatever God gave you the gifts the the Holy Spirit what God gave you to to be able to break down the word to them and and it by using your personality right and not not you're gonna be more effective by you being you right yeah I can't be Brother David Christian and Brother David Christian can't be me right uh you and so we have to be effective in the way that God uh you uh by you know your personality and that's how we become effective you know I see Mike Michael there he's he's commenting brother Luis is a good song here as well well thank you brother brother Michael you are you are as well but Michael brother Michael takes he helps me out when I'm out I'm out the ministering or something and I asked him and he helps take my place their song leading and he does a good job too um Honduras with us uh it's great in November Lord willing that's great uh let's see Heaven Gage asks um what is the greatest thing you've ever experienced since you've been evangelizing brother Lewis or brother Louise um well um you know I guess the I guess the I I can't say that I've had an experience where you know I I I saw you know a miracle take place but where the word has been effective and it's drawn young people um I can definitely I've seen that um and uh just the fact that they actually they want to talk to you uh or or or they wanna I just can't think of anything right now at the back just trying to go through a different different times I do remember one time we were preaching a at a youth camp there in Nicaragua and uh and we were Minister and uh and just the floods of young people that that wanted to get received they just came up to receive the Holy Ghost and just crying and Ukraine with them and um it's uh it's a blessing you know and it and it's nothing that you were pushing and pulling and and nothing that you were just preaching the word you know and that word draw them and I that's to me that's the greatest thing about about the uh you know so it's like the earlier the the the the the testimony that I was given about you know they're in the Philippines you know how the Lord changes uh your what you're gonna preach you know that's probably something great that happened to me you know not knowing that there was a need for that in that in that area um I'm just trying to think right now of different situations you know where um you know and sometimes you know you have prayer lines prayer lines with people and uh my goodness they they draw the life out of you but uh it is it is like like Heavenly me just said the moving of God is amazing it is especially when it's the word that does it and it's not you it's not it's not you you know you might think as a minister that you probably preached the worst sermon ever yeah and and and and Brother David that you've probably experienced this but then you see the effects of it you know and you're sitting there beating yourself and it's happened to me many times and you're beating yourself but then you see the the effects that it actually helps someone uh spiritually it actually helps someone to draw closer to God or to come that closer to to to get baptized or receive the Holy Ghost uh to me that's the greatest thing that's the greatest things that I've seen you know um ministering yeah I see I was um I guess the same question I had a uh I was preaching Brother Scott Smith's and I felt the same way if you feel like you just preached a failure you feel just awful one of the things my dad tells me is that one of the reasons why I feel that is because all the strength all the joy that you had you gave to the people that's why you might feel like that and um you're almost supposed to feel like that in a way and uh I was with Scott Smith we were going back to the office and an older man older both of us walked up to say hey can I talk to you guys for a minute went to the office and he said Brother David you don't know what's going on behind the scenes here but I wish to God my wife could have been here to hear that would have helped her so much and brother Scott knew what it was and the brother did I had no idea but I felt like I had preached a failure but he said I wish my wife could have been here it would have helped her so much so I think another time sister uh Suzanne in our church I felt terrible at the same sermon about preaching on healing I just felt led to keep on going no matter what and she told me David that really helped me because my grandson is in the hospital because he tried to you know kill himself by drinking a bunch of bleach or something like that and it kills his esophagus and he was in a hospital bed and here I am thinking I've preached a failure and it's just like what you preached about healing really helped me in faith to pray for him so things like that I guess yeah and you know those those that are that are you know have feeling that call to to preach or if you're feeling that you you're gonna battle I think you're gonna battle with that you know all all of I think all of your life that yeah of how Lord that was probably the most terrible thing sermon that I ever preached I'm sure brother Brandon felt the same way many times yet not knowing that that that you know you're sometimes you're just not preaching to the people locally you know and the date of the technology that we have nowadays uh sometimes you're preaching to someone out there in YouTube or someone uh nowadays we have brother Brown's sermons and uh you know they're recorded on tape but but maybe he wasn't preaching to someone there specifically maybe it's to someone in in 2023 that he preached a certain sermon for you know um and so it's just how the Lord the Lord Works um and God knows the needs of the people you know one of the things that uh in the mission field you know ministering to people uh couples who want to have children um and they can't have children they're married and they're praying and the Lord just doesn't give them children and and one of the things that we do is we take prayer cloths with us you know um and we and and so we take a lot of them with us and so we uh uh after after preaching you know we we let the we let the people know Hey listen we've anointed these prayer claws we prayed for them and brother brother David it's it's like I have seen it where where there's people are like literally going to to the to the pulpit area and just like give me get I want one I want just make sure that they get their prayer cloth uh and and we we explain to them listen it's not the prayer cloth that heals you and it's the Lord Jesus Christ it's just this this is a symbol of what of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and uh so you take this by faith and you know what uh we've done that with with with couples several couples who have wanted children in their life they haven't had been able to have children that when we've gone back again they've got children some of them even two or three and it wasn't a prayer cloth that did it you know it was it was the Lord Jesus Christ it was have them having faith in the word uh uh and and and so um it's funny because one of those couples you know we they had about two kids already and uh when we came back to them about a year or two two years ago and they and then we told them hey do you want another prayer cloth and they said no [Laughter] yeah that's I think I think I think I think that's my daughter there saying the same thing sister having Gage says my mom had to wait 25 years to have a baby but she now has an eight-year-old girl praise the Lord that's right it's the Fate yeah it's faith in the word and and so when we Minister you're just trying to you're you're um I think brother Brandon I believe he says it this way he says what when you preach you're trying to lift the scales off the people's eyes um to for them to be able to see the word more clearly so that they can have faith in the promises that are there for them and uh and so that they can they can graph uh onto them and receive their blessing you know that's how we're there for and that's how Jesus was would do when he would preach you know and when he would Minister uh to the people is to bring them to a a place of Faith you know um where they where all things are possible I really like that it's all taking notes and all of it it's all really good and you're right when you when you were wondering whether you should preach or not it just doesn't stop bothering you it wouldn't stop bothering me when I was 16 16 I want to initially when I was 14 then I wouldn't stop bothering me until I was about 16. I told Daddy's Dad I'll go Facebook live I'll post on Facebook I I'm going crazy here Dad because I used to go into Facebook arguments with people all the time about adoptions and stuff that was I stopped doing that a long time ago but it just anybody asks me about anything just it would trigger that and I just go into it and you're right maybe initially you can have this desire and think that you're trying to prove someone wrong or whatever else but as you go forward you know you see that these different actions this different ways of looking at things they actually uh they affect people's lives and you just wish everything you could do you wish you could just change them you wish you could with what you say read that quote in a certain way to just bring them back to God and that's all that you really want and you can't you can't get away from it yeah you can you can't Brother David it's a it's just something in you that just just won't leave you alone and that's right and there's another glamorous thing people say oh you shouldn't tell people you're a preacher I tell people bro I said man come on he's the most depressing thing that could possibly do maybe other than being a prophet or a pastor is to be a preacher now why do you say that that it's a it's sometimes uh just uh what is what's the word you just use depressing depressing yeah um because the people sometimes the people some people they just don't listen and you can pour your heart out to them and give I've had that where I give everything I've got and I believe that the sermon just perfectly described what should be done and I've done it with everything that I have and I've and I've tried to make peace smile and just people just so don't change when you've done all that you can and it wears you out more than anything and they just won't and also I read today where the Brenham said that he was talking to his wife about how he felt depressed brother Brennan did he felt like he had no friends or Satan was telling me they had no friends and then he also said honey I feel depressed yeah because and he's the prophet of God yeah oh my God it's it can be but it's the uh it's the that's that's I guess that would be one thing for any young guy because I know of a couple where they've stopped because oh I'm not this no I'm not dad and I don't preacher all these different things one way you can know if you're really cold is if no matter what you say I don't care how much I preacher how little and how much people reject it I know God's calling me to this and I'm going to keep going I'm not going to give up amen yeah because even one word spoken in my if I preached until I'm 80 and one time one person from 20 seconds of some random sermon for the Facebook live that I never even meet and they change or they get into the mindset where they get changed by their past or whatever else it's all worth it that's my mentality towards these lives too well it's all it's all worth it brother Dave you know uh brother Brown said that one soul is worth ten thousand worlds and if if if you spent 80 years ministering and you just won one soul to the Lord you you won ten thousand worlds it was worth it all for just that one soul but we know that there's going to be more than the one Soul listening to you so so that word is that word would would have had effect on that on on many people's uh lives you know down deep in their heart you know one thing that I want to think about if it'll help you too brother David is that you're preaching the word and G and God said that his word will not return void right so if it's not going to return void it may not come to fruition right there and then you know it's not gonna it's not maybe the the the the rebel young person that you're preaching to it isn't gonna isn't gonna change right there and then but you preach the word and that word promised that it wasn't gonna return back void So eventually that word that you preached eventually at some point down in down later on in their life they'll remember that they'll remember that and so I always try to keep that in mind and that keeps me encouraged especially while I'm preaching you know when you see sometimes people like this you know and and not yeah so another thing that you know if you're called is if you go up there and you feel all the everything against you to just stop and go away like what I felt in the beginning of this live I felt like I just need to cancel this and go away I did not want to do this like you know what that probably means I should do it then because I feel the same way when I'm behind a Pulpit so yeah plus we already had postponed at one time [Laughter] and stuff we had to do but that's right you know it's uh you have any more thoughts on that no no you go ahead and you know like I was telling you I hear from people like oh you're saying you're a preacher and sometimes people think oh well I'm a uh I'm no longer a I'm no preacher and I can't do much or I'm a girl I have I have no Ministry because I'm a girl but girls do kind of have a bit of a Ministry could you go into what what exactly does that look like for a girl oh my there's there's sisters can help out in a big way you know especially when they're when they're wives but but but but you know our younger sisters who are not married yet they can help in a big way you know again I go back to what I said earlier your life within itself preaches okay your testimony preaches louder than than what your words could ever say and so sisters always keep that in mind you know uh keep that in mind that whatever go ahead brother wherever you go your testimony uh uh is preaching louder you know you you don't dress like the world you don't you don't you don't look like the world you don't talk like the world um and and that right there that right there preaches that preaches loud and so it what it's what it's gonna do it's gonna it's gonna make people thirsty and it's gonna make people uh uh you are the salt of the earth Jesus said so it's what it's going to do it's going to draw people and maybe somebody might come to you and say Hey listen why do you look the way you do why do you believe the way you do and there's an opportunity for you to not preach them a sermon but to tell them about the word tell them how your fire got lit and and that's what when brother Branham said that he said he said well I'm not a preacher you know somebody said I'm not a preacher but you don't have to be he said tell them how your fire got lit and he didn't he didn't exclusively say that just for brothers it was also for sisters as well now we know our sisters they don't we don't they don't they don't get behind the pulpit and preach you know but uh you know you're you're at work you know telling someone about God hey that that preaches right there um somebody's asking didn't brother Brandon say that singing was the type of the ministry absolutely absolutely singing is that that's that that is Ministry within itself uh even you playing an instrument at church that that that is you ministering that is that is ministry again what is the word ministry it means one that's that serves uh what is the minister so really in reality if you take that that that uh that approach for the word Minister uh anyone really can be a minister all right just not our sisters we don't we They Don't Preach behind the pulpit but anyone can be a minister right because a sister playing the piano at church a sister that that uh uh that that you know might might help in the church some way or or My teach Sunday school um you know that's that's you ministering and then of course you know if you're if you're a wife you know you you you you minister in your heart in your house to your children you teach them about the Lord uh you minister in your house by by uh fixing your meals and and and you know being there for your husband and doing those things that's you ministering right there why again it goes back to it's uh one that serves so anything that you can do to serve that's you ministering especially when it has to do with with with serving in the in the word you know helping somebody you know my my wife when we go out in the mission field like I said there's things that I can't she can help work with the with the sisters or the ladies there out in in those areas when while she's there helping them with the dishes and things and I can't be there to do that because I'm over here talking to the Brethren and I'm ministering to them and they're asking me questions or I'm asking them questions we're all talking but my wife is there and she's ministering to them in that way and they'll sometimes ask her questions about things in their life and then my wife has an opportunity to help them so there's plenty of opportunities for our sisters to minister just not behind the pulp but again I reiterate that because that's what the word says Paul says that and uh and so that's that's is it is is Brother David eating a sandwich is that that what I was reading yeah yeah I haven't eaten yet so keep going um I forgot to eat that's a busy day but um sandwich uh turkey tomatoes lettuce cheese mayonnaise and mustard my goodness do you have chips on the side I do not I don't know where they got that from you're missing the chips brother you gotta have at least Cool Ranch Doritos maybe I should get some to figure it out no I hear you I hear you yeah if you haven't eaten yet yeah you need to eat it's good so all those different things and one of the ways too is like uh one of the things about Ministries being a minister's wife too said it is different from someone who doesn't have uh who isn't going to preach how would a girl know if she's called to be a minister's wife in particular would you say is there a way to know uh that's a that's a tough one because yeah or a pastor's wife because that's even tougher because really uh I mean I I think that really she if a brother is called to the ministry you know and he knows for sure it's the calling of the Lord that that sister they're already married that she really has no choice so again what is what a brother here he posted earlier um what brother Brown said that when the Lord calls a man he calls his wife well so you know some sisters might say I'm not marrying a pastor well that's fine but maybe maybe uh that's uh maybe the Lord does have you to do that just just because you are saying that [Laughter] I'm not marrying a shirt you know just because you're saying that that's what the Lord has for you because there's lessons for you to learn in there as well um so we uh you know the sisters our sisters can't you know we can't and we say that too as as men as brothers we don't know what the Lord has in store for us you just have to be a willing vessel to say Lord Wherever You Lead I'll follow now it's a privilege to be able to serve in the ministry somewhere or another right right um but yeah I would say I would say that our sisters uh you know if you're if your husband is is called to the ministry really you don't have a Choice there at that at that moment that's definitely something that you would have to talk uh with your with your husband you know about and you pray to the Lord and see how what the best way um to know the best way to deal with that you know God will give you if you both have the Holy Ghost if you both have the Holy Ghost then one of the priorities that you have in your life is to see is to win souls for Christ right so it's not not just for for the minister but it's also well and so if that right there um that right there will uh will help help you out because you both have the same mindset the mindset of the Holy Spirit uh because you both are Holy Ghost filled and so you desire to see Soul saved you know sure that's right yeah usually I mean it's not usually but you be careful sisters is what you say because if you say I don't want to marry a pastor that's that's who the Lord might have written store for you yeah and and I think I believe the Lord will work on on you the Lord will work on you and and and and and to see that that the ministry of your husband or the ministry or that man that you're thinking about marrying is going to be just as much as important for you as it is for him and the Lord the Lord will always work on both ends and then the girls also will think sometimes where guys or whoever else that they're not a minister or some leader or a musician or a deacon or anything else they don't hold any office all they do is go to church and go home and they think that oh well my life has no meaning but as someone who has preached to people and we had someone who have had several people pass away in our church you know because they're old or whatever and when they're gone it has a big impact even just by going to church and having a positive look on your face when someone's preaching or songwriting or anything else people don't know how much that helps and how much that pitches into where you know like when I'm summiting at uh byc uh this is like uh Ben Browning he's just sitting to the congregation but he's smiling he's liking what's being presented which encourages me to keep on going which may get me to keep on going so that people can uh maybe be blessed by because I'm just there to yield to the Lord so there is it is certain it's definitely alive from the devil that they're oh you're just this you're just that you keep going with everything you've got because you never know or maybe the sound of a girl's voice which she's singing Because girls usually singing the Angels you know they're very very talented in singing you never know if the person behind you to your left or even across the church here's you singing and they always do and they consistently hear your singing and that encourages them to keep coming and to to stay in the truth because if that person's still singing for the Lord and they're just sitting there why would I uh not want to keep going mm-hmm yeah that really helps helps out when you when you see that people seem like they want to be [Laughter] do you song at every service sir I usually song Lead um on Sunday Sunday afternoon Services um and uh you know that's it's uh in our church that's a tough little service because people had just finished eating lunch oh my it's hard to I don't imagine it's hard to get people what time is it for oh I'm sorry what time is it um at 2 p.m that's the service oh boy people's belly people's bellies are full and uh so um it's something that I have just learned to overlook and uh and so you have to uh you have to just um just Overlook and you say Lord I'm doing this for you you know I'm doing it for the ones the people that that that for your people and it's up to the people if they're going to be blessed or not you know that that can't change that you know I can't change that uh uh it's you know whatever you go for church you know uh that's what you're gonna get out of it you know whatever you expect and that's what you're gonna get out of and I can't change that so I'm just there to do what I need to do to bring him glory and God will deal with the rest you know foreign yourself another sandwich Brother David [Laughter] that's funny hey I lost I I can't hear you anymore oh well it was on mute sorry um are you a fast song song leader action song song that are slower or what um I like I like fast songs and you need them in our afternoon song service uh you know to try to it helps keep people awake you know um but uh but I love a good worship song I love I love um getting into it in in a good atmosphere of worship so there's some songs that just have such a such a tremendous anointing to them and I like to sing those as well but uh yeah how about which songs sorry how about you do you usually lead songs and fast songs or um yeah I'm the I've sunlight every service um and so usually I do a mix just depending on how I feel like some fast some slow um when it's faster I could go I like to go from one faster one to another or other ones like I have sad to follow Jesus or let's see yeah I've tied apologizes to the Lord Lord you should have been good to me keys in F songs and F from one or the other or just one from the other just just depending because I also play instruments do you play instruments brother I I don't I know a few little keys for uh to play play the guitar but I don't play I wish I did I'll look over it like with Sarah I don't have perfect pitch so I can't know what someone's playing but um I'll look over at Sarah playing the guitar and then I'll know what key she's playing in so I'll know what uh look on the songbook to know which one is the same key or whatever my mom actually asked in the chat how did you hear about the message brother Eureka how did I hear about the mass as well um I actually came from a a big uh nominal background um you know I came from the Catholic church and then from the Catholic Church uh was a Jehovah's Witness remember Jehovah's Witness I went to the Baptist Church in the Baptist Church that's where I actually uh accepted the Lord Jesus as Savior uh we were there with them for a while and then from the Baptist Church we went to the Wesleyan Church from the Wesleyan Church we went back to the Baptist Church and then from the Baptist Church to the Pentecostal church and then from there the message and uh we never switched from there in other words I went through the I tell people I went through the seven Church ages and uh but we never we never went back after that and uh and so the Lord once we heard the message um we uh we that that's we stayed there and um and it was I believe it was the Lord just leading us you know leading my family and and me and and uh uh because we were seeking truth and uh you know we were wanting more and it was you know brother Brown says that it's God it's not us seeking God it's God seeking you you know so I heard the message in Colombia South America is really where I heard it because I'm that's where I'm originally from and uh I was already living here in the states um uh I was already living in the states 11 years and then in 1999 I went back to the to Colombia to uh visit my family there and while we were there visiting we were there visiting for about a month or so while we were there visiting one of my mother's my mom's cousins he he learned about the message and so he started telling us about about it and so one thing led to another we got to meet the pastor there from the city where I'm from which is Medellin um Colombia and uh and he he told us more about the message that and why God had to send a prophet in this day and explain to us water baptism in the name of Lord Jesus Christ and so a lot of things were just clicking there for me things were just opening up for me um when we come back when we come back to the States I started looking for churches and found a little church in South Carolina and so we were there with them and then this is where we where we got where I got baptized there and uh and so here we are you know uh praise the Lord so that that's one thing I think that uh I also can uh you know I I know what denomination being in the nomination is like uh I didn't grow up in the message all right so I I I knew I know what it was being like in the in the world and also uh in the in the nominations I had seen you know I've seen uh my parents you know when before they became Christians and the types of lives that they lived um it's not free so it's very um it's very uh it's awesome when you young people when you have grown up in this world because you have not if you have not seen your mother drunk or you're a Dad drunk you know throwing up in a corner in the middle of a party or in your uh the house I I saw those things um uh and and those are images that I can never get take out of my head but I know my I know my parents didn't know the Lord at the time that you know and they look back on things like that and they see it and they say they they you know they it hurts them you know because they did it before their children but they didn't know anything and so but but by God's grace you know the Lord started dealing with us and throughout all those all those churches from Catholic all the way to Pentecost and finally the message so that's that's pretty much in a nutshell how it how how we came in see my mom mom says my husband was raised Catholic was your family devout Catholic or Jack Catholic Jack Catholic is that is that kind of like lukewarm Catholic yeah exactly yeah uh we were lukewarm Catholics you know we just did enough to stick our hand there in the holy water and do this you know and uh uh and and and you know and and take the Eucharist and go to the Catholic church and that's it but when we would go back home it was the same life you know it was the same life and you know that's how that that that's the majority of Catholics I believe uh you know my side of the family that's how they are the ones that are Catholic they're just Catholic by name you know and but there are some devout Catholics out there that actually want to live a life um but we were in that kind I see it's great let's see Mom said like saying mom says uh like saying you're Catholic and don't go to church like Jack Mormon I I understand yeah that's the first time I've heard that jacket like yeah he's lukewarm I guess what can you say can you say that about message Believers too Jack message believe me actually brother uh brother Tim Pruitt I was listening to my brothers Joseph Hammond it's actually like uh three weeks back and he said the greatest detriment to message people is that they don't live a life at home that they project themselves to live when they're at church he's he's a really good Preacher Man he's my mom told me I've heard him preach since I was a baby for The Temper of the older one it was quite the thing and you know we're going live and you know he just told us about the most important decision salvation second most important decision is the whole is uh I gotta listen to cemeters Brother Bear Coffee the second most important decision it's a wife and one of the pain main pains in my life has been those things and you one of the hardest things for me to to know is whether or not a girl has the Holy Ghost so how can a girl let's say start that from that angle since we started talking we talk about girls Ministry um how would a girl know when a guy is the Holy Ghost and how would a guy know what the girl is the Holy Ghost well I I would say I would say Brother David um it's very important for their for the Holy Ghost to be in your life um I would not advise any any young people to get married if you don't know if your other person that you're interested in is not born again you know um you know one of the things that you have to look at is is what is that person's desires you know what what is it uh because sometimes you can't nowadays you can't go by with oh that sister wears a long skirt and has long hair if you can't do that or that brother doesn't wear shorts you know uh you can't you can't go by that you can't go by that anymore so you have to actually look at that at that life and and of course you know you can't live you can you don't live with the person but you you will you will see you know if that person is interested in talking about the word with you uh if that sister that you're interested in it if that interests her if she if she um if she gets in the service you know I I think you know and I'm not saying that that many young people that if you're if you don't have if you have the Holy Ghost you always have to raise your hand at church you know when you're praising God and stuff like that but I tell you what when when a young person on my I've seen when a young person has broken that barrier to actually you know it's to raise their hands at church and and they're they're not ashamed they're not ashamed um that's definitely one key thing for me that that lets me know that the Lord is working in that person the Lord is doing something in that person and you can see that that they're genuinely doing it you know now if they just if they do it because the brothers say raise your hand you know and they did then they do it then but for just for appearances you know they started to appearance is right uh do they like to talk about the word you know when when you when you when you're approaching a a a sister and and uh if talking about the word doesn't bore them you know um that that those those are key things you know there's you can tell um you know and you can tell that there there's some sisters that just uh as I know it's hard to say but but there's some sisters that just they have a they look worldly and uh you know the Holy Ghost doesn't lead you to look more like the world you know um you know it leads you more to to to it gives you a humble humble Spirit you know it's a it's a I'm you know I'm not saying you can't go out and play and have fun nothing like that no but it humbles you it humbles you and and you know you're not trying to be you're not trying to look and see how close you can look like the world but how far away you can be you know stay away and you can tell that in some sisters you know the holy spirit gives you a Meek Spirit a humble Spirit um and so when I see that in sisters too and that could be also their personality as well but that to me that uh that's that speaks to me as well when when a sister is not um how can I put it just just wants to be just wants to be seen you know it just wants to be noticed yeah you see what I'm saying I do just really loud and wants to be you know I believe that a a sister that God is really working she's she has a Meek humble spirit is what the Bible says um it's a it's a it's a Meek humble spirit and and uh and so so that that that's something those things are key does she does she do you does she uh do you feel that she uh she she likes to be at church you know uh what is her what does she amend the word you know does she does she uh do you see her with a notepad taking notes and it's not something that that that that that her dad has told her to do she you you know that you know she does it on her own because she wants to know more about God that's God drawing that person you know I'm not gonna say that they may they have the new birth but at least you you know God is dealing with that sister and uh those are key things that I would look for if at this moment I was looking for a girl you know because you know looks are gonna be there that's fine but those looks aren't always going to stay there you know we're good brother I have the thought written down you can keep going okay the the looks part will change you know we're all getting older uh she's gonna you're gonna she's gonna get older but um but uh if she loves the the word you know if she has a respect for the word or respect for the ministry uh uh you know those are those are things that that you can look for you know that's great all pretty good stuff one of the things brother um Trevor at uh byc this year he preached on was the X the sermon was modesty hottie h-a-u-g-h-t-y and um he said you take two message girls let's say one of them wears skirts just below the knee so she can just barely get by the other one make sure to wear them as long as possible all the time so that they can never be uh you know he said which uh which one of them is the legalist and we did one on or the other and he said both of them because they're both trying to justify themselves by the law but with what they do a real girl that's really trying she isn't trying to figure out oh how can I just justify Myself by law all the time or how can I uh just barely ride the fence she'll try to show modesty through what she wears because you can show that you're pretty without having to go really bad and terrible with it you know it's modesty if modesty's in their heart then that's what they'll show and what they wear rather go ahead sorry no that's that's correct Brother David I I agree with that uh because that goes back to what Jesus said he said uh out of your heart will speak the mouth or out of your heart is what is what will show forth in the way you dress you know it's one of the things that I that I I felt lately with the sermons that I preach are going towards is people make time for what they want to make time for people make happen what they want to make happen whatever's in your heart if I ask you a question whatever's in your heart it's going to come out and what isn't in your heart isn't going to come out um so how would uh what about a girl wanting to know if a guy has the Holy Ghost well I think I think in some of the ways like I said for a girl also for for a guy you know is he interested in in is he interested in in church does he want to talk about the word is he is he um um and this applies to both of them to both her as well but uh if you're interested in in a brother and he and he desires to do things the right ways in other words he's not trying to get around uh to see how he can get to you without without uh you know getting you know talking to your to your mom to your dad you know if in his mind he's first thinking my what did Brother Branham say about these things and he and brother Branham talked about you know with regards to dealing with with uh you know you go to the that girl's parents um and that's what you want to do that's that's what you're thinking um you know those are key things that I think a sister can look for uh that uh uh that that hey the Lord the Lord is working in this brother you know um obviously ultimately it's uh you that person will know if he's got the holy ghost or not you know but at least there's there's the Lord working in there if he if if the preeminence is the word uh another key thing is is also how does he treat his mom how does how does because however he treats his mom or however he he is the way he's going to treat you young sister same thing back vice versa uh however however the the girl treats her dad or the lack thereof or or if there's more disrespect there and there's talking back or or embarrassing him in public you know or that's how he's going to treat you young man or that's how she's gonna treat you uh well if you get married to her you know um so I I think too brother David that uh that the Holy Ghost and the young people and a young person uh before they get married will will make them think about uh I want to bring honor to my to my mom and my dad you know because it's the word you know honor your father and mother and so that lines up with um with marriage as well because the way you treat your parents or the way you know it's the way you will treat your your uh your father I mean I mean your wife or your or your husband as well um so those those are things to that uh that you can look at you know and again Brother David it's how it is you know you look at a person's appearance you look at a boy's appearance you know and and uh uh you can you can tell that that that you know you know this brother the Lord needs to work on this brother more I could I could just look at some kids they're here they're here thank God they're here at the youth camp but my goodness the Lord really is needs to work on them just by their appearance you know you say oh well you don't you don't you shouldn't judge me you know by the way I look but but you can't again as Jesus said by their fruits you shall know them you see the whole Holy Ghost gives certain fruits you know and and so uh you know you want to look like a skateboarder you know a guy you know long you know hair over your eyebrows and and and and over your eyes and things like that uh then then what is working in your life what kind of is that is that the Holy Spirit you know the holy spirit makes you want to uh cut your hair thumb up for brothers you know makes you want to uh makes you I know when I when I became a Christian you know there was something in me I used to wear shorts you know and and uh and when I heard brother Branham talk about you know your sissified brothers wearing those those those those my mom and dad didn't tell me to stop wearing shorts I did that on my own yeah because I wanted to I wanted to I wanted to please the Lord I I had my fear for the Lord was was uh was was high and I wanted to please him and I didn't want to displease him in any way and so you know those those brothers and those sisters out there there you see them that they're borderline just be careful be careful their borderline you can see they're borderline with the world but at the same time you know but but he plays music at church uh he he plays the guitar he plays the drums at church but they're borderline don't take your risk don't risk it don't risk it young people and uh you know you you you you you you know for sure that that brother that sister has had an experience with God or is having an experience with God because the experience is continual right that's right amen and Brother David if I could add this to you know don't think in your in your heart or don't think in your mind that you can oh well I'm just gonna go out with her or go out with him and and you know they they they don't have the Holy Ghost right now but I know that that later on I know they'll get it you know but uh but I just love I just I I've got to be with him or I got to be with her you're taking a big big risk don't go you're taking a big big risk uh we're I'm dealing with a brother right now who who's in that same situation uh and and uh you've been trying to help him out you know he took that risk and uh you know his wife just wants to build just doesn't want to serve the Lord anymore so you can't save your what you can't save that girl and you can't save that boy if God doesn't do the work then don't take that risk that's true you've got to make sure that they got the Holy Ghost exactly right I hope that answered the question oh it does definitely does it I wrote it all down um I would say uh for a guy one major thing is I'm a guy and you can know what there's a holy ghost or not is if you tell him as a girl where he's wrong about something according to the word of God if he can't say oh wait you got me I I was wrong autism that's not Holy Ghost because yeah we're men and we do have M ego which we need We're Men but if you can't say you want you're right I I was wrong then that is a big indicator that is not going to change if you marry him at all it's only going to get worse yeah absolutely absolutely and you know if he if that girl or that boy you know takes everything back to the world well the Bible says that this this this that oh you're just a bible thumper you're always just using the Bible the Bible is our absolute yeah I was once told uh I was once told when I quoted by the band one time oh not everything he said was right I was like this relationship is probably gonna be over pretty soon and it and it did end a while after that before you don't want to risk it you don't want to risk it what somebody doesn't want to you know brother random when he was going I believe it was when he was uh talking to sister Mimi you know when they were before they got married after sister hope had passed away his first wife um he said himself he said he would put they would put a Bible in between them you know um I'm not saying that everybody our young people have to do that but Hey listen that was a representation you know of like hey we don't cross this line you know and we we don't we're we're not going to put ourselves in situations where to give opportunity to the devil okay and and and if if that young man that you're that you like uh sister or that young sister that you like brother if she is given those suggestions herself to do those things like Hey listen uh I don't want to be I don't want to be over here in a corner by myself with you let's just go out here in public let's let's talk uh you know that's that's a good indication that she wants she or he wants to do things right you know and that the Holy Ghost is working in that person's life you know at least the word is having some effect in that person's life because she she or he wants to do things the right way you know and so the prophet had to put a cross on his car and if he had to put a Bible in between him and sister meeting you know um we have to definitely have the word in between us and whoever we like and you know before we get married you know because it's not not going to be just you two getting married it's got to be three people it's gonna be you get married that'll be you that sister and then the Lord Jesus Christ has to be in between right amen so yeah that makes sense so we have one last question here anything else you want to go through before we ask the answer this last one no no David I think uh so I don't think I need a whole lot of build up for this thing because this is a big question can you have an addiction in your flesh while having the Holy Ghost can you have Addiction in your flesh while having a holy ghost well it depends on the addiction let's say smoking drinking drugs anything okay I thought maybe you were addicted to sour candy or something like that what it's sour candy man I don't like sour candy I I can eat it but man no Baby Ruth and Snickers all the way uh because you know what I got an addiction for sour candy really I'm the more sour the better oh no oh oh no uh but right now uh I've been hitting with my daughters that we we've been hitting the uh the uh um man they eat them up with me just as much we love uh the the the the sour gummy bears the hair boo no and also and also the uh the uh they're these like like long stress uh uh strips uh they're made they're made by hariboo as well the uh and uh they're called sour dudes or something like that I just had me I just had me a bag Sunday or yesterday oh my goodness that's my last thing I expected and if you haven't tried the uh the sour uh nerds uh the the the gummy nerds oh my trying they're good [Laughter] um but anyways uh back to the question uh can you have an Affliction I'm in an addiction uh somebody said try the Shockers uh uh yeah yeah maybe I gotta look for those I love sour candy but um but my teeth they probably eventually they won't like them um but I don't think I believe that the Lord the the Holy Ghost uh is going to work on any addiction that she will have as far as smoking is concerned because anything that will harm your your temple the Temple of the Holy Spirit which your body is the Holy Ghost will convict you to get rid of okay you ah um sometimes sometimes it doesn't happen right away you know that if you've if you've had a a newborn the new birth is is a is a is a process and it's not something some sometimes it's not something that happens right there and then like magically all of a sudden oh you know and I got these cigarettes they're not I'm not vaping anymore I'm not I'm not uh smoking weed anymore I'm not it it it's a process okay but God God draws you and what he's trying to draw he's when he's drawing you he's drawing you with whatever addiction you may have at that moment right he's not waiting for you to change and then he draws you know he draws you even if you're vaping even if you smoke weed or if you smoke crack or whatever the addiction that harms you your body uh uh you know um he he draws you to come so that he can take those things away from you you know a lot of times people think well I've got to get rid of this in my life then I can come to the Lord and you can't do that because it's the Lord that takes it out of you so um I believe brother brother brother David and you know everyone you know they can speak to their own pastor about these things but I believe that that you've got to get the Holy Ghost first and the Lord starts taking those things out of you uh you know it's a it's a clean you know there is a process justification sanctification you know and then the baptism of the Holy Ghost but those are works of the Holy Spirit it the whole time right and so and so uh but then there you know you can't you can't say that I got the Holy Ghost and still have a desire to smoke weed you can't say I got the Holy Ghost and still have that desire to to uh and and enjoy it right and enjoy uh uh uh vaping all right that's one of the big things right now that the the young people seem to be battling you know is vaping what about the uh because like people would say to that and I agree with everything you're saying by the way um let's say oh but my flesh really does enjoy that thing the holy spirit will will yeah your flesh is gonna enjoy but if it doesn't bring a conviction of I shouldn't do this to my flesh because it's not pleasing to my Lord if it doesn't bring that conviction for you to go repent about that thing or or or do something about that then then uh you have to question whether you did receive the holy ghost or not whether you did get born again in your life right again it is a it is a process and slowly sometimes an addiction whatever it may be all right whatever the addiction may be can be a process but it's a but it's something that that you're Desiring Lord I don't want that to be there but it but if that if that is not in there in you like like you you just you just can't wait to go get your your vaping paraphernalia or whatever I don't know what they call it your e-cigarette or whatever you you just you just can't wait to do it but yet you say you have the Holy Ghost then then something is something is wrong that the Holy Ghost doesn't lead you to go Vape doesn't lead you to go look at pornography doesn't lead you to go do these things right so uh I don't think that the addiction that you can that you have in your flesh is is not going to be there long term if you say of the Holy Ghost um sometimes things take take uh take time yeah they do but it's got to be the Holy Ghost dealing with you in in your life he's cleaning you up you know uh Brother David I knew and this gets into deep areas as well but but I believe the process of sanctification is not just one time the process of sanctification is something that happens continually throughout your your whole Christian life even after you've received the Holy Ghost and so and so because sometimes we make mistakes and we have habits even even and they may not be bad habits like a habit of smoking weed you know when you become a Christian and things like that it can be it can be other bad habits where you're you know you easily you easily fly off the handle right right but but the holy spirit will bring conviction to that right the holy spirit in you will bring conviction to that and say listen that's not the way you should have you should have dealt with your with your mom or that's not the way you should have dealt with your sister or or you know so but there's clear things that the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit can't dwell in an unclean vessel right yeah and so if that unclean vessel is is struggling is it that unclean vessel has to be a willing vessel in order for there to be an actual change uh you have to want to you you have to have that desire I want to get rid of this in my in my life I can't live a good clean Christian Life while I'm vaping I can't live a good clean Christian Life while I'm watching pornography or or something like that you can't have those addictions and still claim to have the Holy Ghost um so the desires the desires are changed once you do get the Holy Ghost oh go ahead brother Dave I think Olivia's putting something in she's uh putting a segmented so going back to trying to tell us boys it's the Holy Ghost the Bible says in the last day the two spirits would be so close if they disease if deceive the very like if it were possible you think it makes finding the right spells more difficult nowadays do you think it makes the what basically asking when the Bible says um oh okay I'm reading right here uh it says going back to trying to tell if boy or girl has the Holy Ghost the Bible says in the last days that two Spirits would be so close to deceived a very elect if ever possible do you think it makes it I guess they didn't finish their question there it didn't it said they think it makes finding the right spouse more difficult nowadays oh I see okay I see um it it can and it I mean it it does I mean uh but but that's more dealing with uh in the sense of for example uh if you're looking at an uh at a a boy or a girl that that's a nominal Christian right uh you know you you you have you know they might not believe it exactly like you right and so let's say he's Pentecostal and then you're you're a message girl right uh there's gonna be problems there because Pentecostal a Pentecostal brother or you know I'm not going to say that they're not Christians you know they're Brothers also brother Brandon called them brothers um but but there's going to be problems there with regards to to your faith to what you believe he he believes in a trinity and you don't right you believe in one God he he he and he believes that it's God in three persons he does believe in one God but he believes that it's he's manifested in three persons and he can't explain that and and so there's going to be there's going to be those those things that you have to battle out um if you're looking at a nominal Christian um that's definitely better for sure than than a person not being a Christian but but I wouldn't take those risks either because um you both because how can two walk together unless they be agreed Jesus said and so and so two people you know it's better for you to walk with someone that you can agree with than it is for someone that you're always constantly battling with because they don't see things uh especially as husbands and wives you know you know I well I don't believe that we need to go to church every single Sunday you know um well I do well that's going to cause problems and your children are going to see that you know so so was someone put in the chat the Holy Ghost gives I think it was Daniel Martin full of ghost gives us the power to overcome her flesh and also brother Branham said we're all going to make mistakes we're always going to have them what how do those I don't believe they contradict but how does that um they dovetail those two um the two areas again being Brother David uh um so we the holy ghost gives us the power to overcome our flesh right I don't believe that means you'll never make a mistake in your life ever again because you're always going to have mistakes so how do they dovetail together with oh the Holy Ghost gives you the power over here come your flesh but yet you're still you'll still fail you will and there's no little sin and no big sin the Sin is Sin right so so uh but what is what is your how do you feel after you've committed that mistake is your desire to go repent right away or is your desire to just leave it alone and just kind of just uh well you know I'll just kind of just uh just keep um wallowing in my my sin you know um because uh that's you know some people do that they'll say well I've made a mistake and well I'll just keep doing it you know because oh well I just uh you know I'm and then what will happen is that that person that'll just bring more condemnation in your life and what Satan is trying to do is he's trying to keep you uh from from experiencing victory in your life and enjoying church services and and and and and and and and and uh not enough not able to enjoy the blessings of God in your life so one you know you have to if you make a mistake you are going to want to repent right away plain and simple as that right um and uh you know brother Brandon gave the the uh the the example of of that sister I'll forget her name uh Brother David it was the sister who had the issue of uh she used to be a dancer when she was out in the world and she's and she uh forget her name brother Brandon mentions her name if somebody remembers her name they can put type it in but uh uh she was walking by a dance hall after she gets after she got saved and started going to church and I guess she had the holy ghost at the time and and she got she got in the flesh and she she allowed she started getting there close to the dance hall and and then and in her mind she started playing well yeah I remember when I used to dance and oh my it was a good times and and kind of the Satan just there bringing her memories of how things were and then the next thing you know she was there dancing in the middle of the dance hall you know and and doing the and quickly but what she quickly did is that she quickly went running to brother Branham to his house and say brother Brandon brother Branham uh uh and then she explained to him what had happened and um and I believe I believe the Lord Brother Branham told her something on the lines of uh uh you know you can't I think it's something on the lines I'd have to go back in and read that but it's on the lines of um you know um you know just taking repenting it right there and just keep moving on you know um it's we're gonna we're gonna make mistakes yeah but uh there comes a point where a mistake if it constantly happens uh you gotta you gotta think to see well have I really been delivered from this or not you know yeah a mistake that that go ahead sorry a mistake is is something that that that that you're not you're not premeditating to do it it's not a mistake is not something that you're premeditating I am going to go smoke weed and I'm planning I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm rolling in myself and I'm doing everything together you know you're no that's not a mistake that's a premeditated sin yeah yeah that may okay that makes sense because the next one was like the difference between addiction and mistake but that a mistake is not something that you're premeditated to do if it's part of your routine to do to smoke that way to do whatever else then that's that's not a good indication but if it's not something you premeditated to do then that is a mistake and you know they do feel bad okay I see mistakes more you know your your temper flies yeah it flies off or you get upset you know somebody pulled out in front of you you know or or uh you know maybe brother Branham brother Branham made him made a mistake when he told that little that little white lie when he told sister meaty to to tell the the the the the the the man over on the phone uh that I believe was the lawyer that about his tax situation and he and he told him he said uh tell them that I'm not here and he stepped outside as she was telling him that and said tell him that I'm not here well technically he wasn't the inside the house but yet he was there because he was conscious of what of what was going on he knew what the situation was and he put sister meeting in a bad situation where as well in that in that moment so that to me that was a mistake you know didn't meditate that the day before to do that and uh you know so so that's those are the differences between a mistake and a premeditated a friend who uh who could just it was TR they were trying to seek for the Holy Ghost and they weren't quite sure whether or not they had it because they still felt like they weren't Sanctified because they're still addicted to a certain something and um they felt that you can't have any addiction smoking drinking anything if you're still addicted to something um but they still felt bad about mistake or whatever but they said oh I feel like I need to feel worse about the mistake afterwards or something like that um and they said well you can't serve two masters and I'm just running you through their reasoning cancer up to Masters and you can't uh how can you have you know can certain semester see what was the other thing and um okay they also said oh well do you think brother Branham had any addictions at all I I think I I don't think he would so would you respond to be something like that well they're not thinking they're the Holy Ghost because they're still maybe addicted to something you know I think I think if that person has been a Christian for uh two months let's say and they're still fighting an addiction right well they're they're young Christian right uh they're they're they're still trying to there's they're they're they're they're trying to uh and you and you see that they're that they that they want to get rid of that you know right again um there's a desire there's a there's a there's a there's a pull there by God uh because you see them still coming to church they want to change you still see them you they they're interested in the word they want to read the word and they want the Holy Ghost to uh so that they can overcome these things you know what that person is come is coming to a good a good spot where that that addiction the Holy Ghost is gonna take that away from them but now if it's a Christian that's been two years three years four years five years six years and they're saying well I haven't gotten the Holy Ghost you know and I'm not gonna get until until this addiction goes away my life will the Holy Spirit I think within since within that time span would have already been working and taking things out of your life um and putting a desire in you to not want to do those things okay all right um the Temptation will always be there okay with what Satan knows what there you go somebody's sister sister I think that's your mom yeah or your sister that's my mom yes you know what is rosella Griffith that's exactly right that was her name um the the the Holy Spirit you know Paul said this and Paul said this brother today but he said all things are lawful to me but all things are not convenient in other words I can go out here brother Brown said the same thing I can go out here and and vape I can go go out here and buy e-cigarettes I can go out here and smoke uh weed I can go out here and do all those things all right it's just that God put a desire in me to not want to do those things anymore because I I personally used to do them when I didn't have the Lord in my life but now there's something in me now Satan knows your weak areas all right Satan knows where you where you were weaker at what it was that that that that that bothered you more in the world so uh that's where he's gonna punch you more all right cool brother bam said uh Satan's got a punish coming that's exactly exactly right that's what he said my mom said dad was the one that remembered is rosella Griffith okay so that that is uh that is those are the areas that you have to cover more in your life if you know that you're weak in an area in your life and don't get around those things that are gonna they're gonna tempt you you know now that you know the holy spirit will bring Deliverance for sure there's people that have been delivered right there and then there's there's a brother in our church who was delivered from cigarettes just took it took it away from him uh one day after he had been trying to serve the serving the lord and and eventually uh that that desira went went out of him but and then go out of him when he first come to the Lord so it was it was a struggle it was a battle but eventually the Holy Spirit leads you to that to overcome those things in your life for good now will they tempt you again yes they will tempt you again uh but but you now have a filter which is the Holy Spirit to help you in those Temptations and uh so no I just to make the the short and the shortest answer for that question Brother David you cannot have a long-term uh uh addiction and say that you have the Holy Spirit working in your life and that he's changing you from day to day I I don't I don't see that uh you know 10 years as a Christian and you're still battling with with smoking crack I don't I don't I don't see that you know it's a good answer I like that it's very good writing all the town it's exactly right but 10 months 10 months a new Christian uh and he you see that he's he's he's wanting to be at church he's trying to overcome and he wants to get the Holy Spirit uh he's still having issues with those things you know but but he wants to get help and he repents and um you know obviously the Lord is working and sanctifying that that person but it it's it's uh it's a work that the Holy Spirit has to do that's right it's for you do you have any more thoughts anything else you want to tell the people um no no Brother David my goodness it's already 11 20. what uh let's see one last question what what tapes would you recommend people to listen to um well as far as uh I love I love uh uh Christ The Mystery of God revealed that's one that's one of my favorites uh if if you if you if you if you didn't have anything else uh to listen to um uh if you took the whole message away from me and just left me one take to listen to that's probably the one I would choose press the mystery of God reveal um because that right that tape right there is the whole message within within one one sermon right see um hold on uh sister Olivia had a question we got I didn't get your chance to answer she said what about when it comes to uh knowing whether or not a girl or guy is the Holy Ghost she says what about cases where someone was raising the message and knows how to talk slash act to put on the appearance of a consecrated life when they really don't have a consecrated life so the is so as the question what what is the question there does that person basically how do you know when someone has a holy ghost or not when they've lived a message so long that they know how to act like they do um and if you're trying to you know if they're trying to get with you as a relationship boyfriend or girlfriend yeah yeah those those are those are things that you have to you have to give them the word test right uh you have to give them you you have to uh they may act like that but but something at some point in time in my life here winner went away at some point in time they will um they will manifest what's in them and so if you know that that person just he knows he or she knows how to act up then and if that person is trying to talk with you then and you know for a fact hey man they they just know they know they know how to act act up really good uh you give that person some time you know you don't go you don't go by any emotions or because they're pretty or or they're cute or whatever um because they may be acting very nice right now and things like that but the fangs might come out later on the fangs will come out and what I mean by that is that they'll eventually uh display what's really in them but in order for that to happen you have to give it time that's why we that's why you can't rush into any relationship you have to give that relationship time uh you I mean you have to give that time you pray about that and uh I know it's just very easy for for young girls to get to get caught with uh you know how how a young man talked with them and said this to them and oh man they can they can just they're so they can just talk really nice and man but you can't get caught up with with that because you have have to take things slowly slowest key slow is wisdom that's right I hope that answers the sister's question that um I wouldn't risk it and you know what there's a lot of kids today that are like that they know how to they know how to say the right things they know how to act in front of the the girl's parents you know the dad but there's nothing in there eventually as you're talking to that person that will come out if a person if a boy's got the Holy Ghost he would he's going to want to do things the right way he wants to he won't he would want to do things according to the Bible same thing with the girl um but David I think another sermon that I really love is is uh broken cisterns uh I believe it's July July 20 something in 19 1964 I think is is what it is uh he preached that brother Brown preached at the Tabernacle broken sisters always it's been a good message for me too there it is right there broken sisters July 1964. thank you that right there is uh it's a good it's a powerful powerful message now I'm not going to tell anybody what it is if you've never heard it you go listen to it yourself that's right so um someone Olivia says why do you think well the people worldly people people can have a more beautiful happy marriage than some message believers I think maybe they seem to it may seem on it may seem on the outside but ultimately what brings true happiness is the life in the Holy Ghost I worldly people worldly people um the world portrays that to you in that way all right but listen I used I used I know what it was like to be out in the world I saw my parents out in the world all right there were times where they looked like they were happy but then they got down to you know when they were at the parties and they were drinking and and throwing up and and all those things and then I would see them arguing at home and and things like that they weren't happy so what you see out there doesn't necessarily reflect what's happening inside the home but what truly brings happiness is when the is it's a holy ghost-filled home when the husband and the wife have the same main goal and that is to become more like Jesus Christ right and that they want to glorify their their the Lord in everything they do together all right and then in their personal life as well personally right that's why I said earlier that when you get married to a when you get married to someone you have to think you have to just you're it's three people getting married there and that's you the person in Christ has to be in the center and it can't be any other way because it won't be a happy home it won't be a happy home um you may not agree on everything right I don't agree with everything my wife uh with my wife and she doesn't agree with everything with me but those are just little small details you know but we've definitely have a our Agreements are definitely um we have one goal in mind and that's to become like Christ and if that person that you're thinking about that's if that's their desire and you have that same desire I believe that'll be a happy home yeah Olivia's saying I mean it depends on what they mean by happiness and what it means by uh by a con contenting thing because uh that them said the worst a Christian can give outweighs the best the world can give you know I wouldn't put the brand of uh oh there as a message couple that aren't doing it right because if they're really message I'll say maybe around the message as a terminology but mess in the message you know they have the Holy Ghost they're doing things correctly and there may be people that were raised you know in the 1930s and the 1940s or 50s or 60s when it wasn't such a dirty bus as it is now and they can seem to be truly truly happy but the major difference is is that in as far as my opinion is one of the major differences is if they haven't met God then and they haven't met God his conditions they won't make a rapture you know I'd rather be the most unhappy married couple and make the Rapture effect to me but the Adrian the message you are LED of God and you will have hard times but the hardest marriage by two Holy Ghost people is better than the greatest marriage ever produced by the world that's good brother David yeah absolutely yeah the um you you both have to you know true happiness comes from the Lord you know the Bible says the joy of the Lord is my strength and and so the only the only happiness the true Joy comes by the Holy Spirit by the holy ghost in your life and in his life and so when those two people get together they have this same common goals that the Holy Ghost has and that will bring uh man that will that would make things you know the values will be mutual um but you you know it may not be you know he he likes he likes sour candy and she don't he he likes barbecue chips more you probably heard from you it might be a deal breaker if she doesn't like sucker candy no my wife don't like oh no but uh she she does like chips though that's great uh and um but hey that's not a deal breaker that doesn't that that we're not talking about those things you know we're talking about this this she want to be more like Jesus Christ in her personal life you know uh and I I saw that I I see that I saw that when she when she before we even got married that her desire was to grow in the Lord and uh and that was my desire too you know what that that that will definitely help in marriage you know see Olivia cleaning is it possible it's due to the fact that both unbelievers versus a Believer and an unconverted believer what sure I I I'd say that you know a a believer in an uncomfortable according to what brother uh says the worst mistake a guy could make is Marion and believer or vice versa so that'd be even in some ways more miserable than a couple that doesn't believe because they both believe the same thing if they don't believe versus a man that does believe in a woman that doesn't but you know really what we're aiming for is for people to both believe before they get married of course yeah yeah yeah absolutely um he's going back she said is it possible is it due to the fact they both are unbeliever versus a believer in an unconverted believer um yeah yeah I mean is she referring to the happiness of yeah happiness of married people yeah I mean there's happiness is is is uh again it comes really by you know the joy of the Lord that's that's true happiness you know and happiness happiness uh no matter if it's in good times or bad times the joy of the Lord is still is still there in your heart in your in your life and you know God has done something in you then that you're not wanting to give up you know because things are going bad in your life because let me tell you in a marriage marriage things can will go wrong and they can go wrong but uh if she has the Holy Ghost and you have the Holy Ghost you know that you made a vow to each other and you made it before God and you will you will do whatever it takes for you to to uh to uh to keep that vow and uh that that that that that brings that brings happiness and brings happiness that your wife your wife is in the same line as you you know yeah well brother it's been an honorable trapping you on thanks for uh being on is there any final thoughts you have for the people no I I appreciate Brother David that you know he's having us and uh haven't uh invited for your invitation and I hope that this would help everybody that listened and uh and if I could just say anything to everybody anybody I'm just going to give you these words and it's what brother Brandon said how do I get draw closer to the Lord someone asked brother Brandon he said read your Bible and pray every day that's all he gave him and so just do that young people just pick up the word read the Bible it doesn't have to be 15 30 minutes start with three minutes start with two minutes one minute and eventually that one minute will will turn into five minutes and then that five minutes will turn into 10 minutes and same thing with prayer and uh because that's what helped me God if you if you could just give God you know just at least this one little finger and eventually you know he'll you'll be giving him all of yourself but it starts it starts uh with with just a little bit at the time and so I encourage young people to stay in the word because it's more needed now than ever David real quick Jesus said this he said uh I feel like preaching now but Jesus said my words are spirit and they are life so so so when you are reading the word or when you are listening to the word you're receiving the spirit of that word which is his spirit all right and which is drawing you closer to him so the word is very important because he said my spirit my word is spirit and life and so it that will bring life to you life uh and it will draw you closer to you receiving the Holy Ghost and getting that new birth experience that you you're Desiring you're not going to get a new birth experience without ever hearing the word you've got to hear the word or be around the word in order for you to get that New Birth experience that you you know that you're seeking after so the word is what does it yeah I pretty good having me Brothers I guess uh go ahead and pray we'll be done okay all right Lord Jesus we thank you Heavenly Father once again for the opportunity to have spoken uh your word Lord and just have this little chat here with Brother David and others listening in Lord we just appreciate Lord God these avenues that we can use them for good Lord and I just pray Lord that you would bless your people and if something was said that would help them and they would strike their hearts Lord it would might maybe not might may not take fruition right now but Lord if it's your word that's gone forth Lord that it might take fruition in them later on Lord and I just pray that that word would just do the work in their hearts Lord and they would answer all of their all of
