okay guys the live died because I hit a button on the keyboard electronics are fun I accidentally hit a button on this stupid keyboard and it connected to the Bluetooth on my phone and it uh kicked everyone off all right uh said that it was trying to reconnect so yeah electronics are fun guys only thing they do consistently is be inconsistent I don't know why I would do that but hey my fault my uh sorry say my um I accidentally hit a button my which caused to try to connect to my phone and then I stood up so we're back sorry about that as soon as they can he will join that's annoying but that's live what's up you see what's up Mario stuff everybody yeah I accidentally hit a button on this and apparently when it's connecting to a new Bluetooth device it decides to die or whatever I'm not sure why it would do that exactly I'm not exactly sure all right give this a second to load up here we're just asking say what he's going to do to be more effective in communication what's up Zach Electronics it uh try to reconnect because I pressed a button on my keyboard which would on accident which would connect to this keyboard to my phone and it decided that it was since it was connecting something on Bluetooth it was just going to reconnect to the live which doesn't make sense to me I'm not sure why uh why if I would make it do that but it did unfortunately so that's fun um say go ahead and try to request joining and we'll see if it works that way what's up there what's up stack how's it going except the live what's up Laura Larkin how's it going welcome to the live all right I'm gonna try to head today see if it'll work there we go uh hit a button the keyboard all right Okay so so you were telling us how you're going to get better communication moving forward what are you gonna do okay um I think that I put an effort in to uh start doing door door-to-door roof sales just for not even trying to sell a roof basically just trying to improve talking and communication I think that would really help don't even care about the sale just it's gonna suck at first whatever just keep doing it so I think I think I'm kind of motivated I'm gonna do it okay so don't don't forget you're gonna utterly fail yeah I'm not gonna I'm not gonna put it into pretty pudding for you it's gonna happen so I'm just preparing you for when you fall what you're gonna do I want you to say it a hundred times before you go and do it listen to your recording see how you sound my pitch your pitch this is the way you come off you want to be able to say it without uh without when you're just being genuine you don't want to come across perfect you want to come across genuine that's how you want to do it and you can do this you will do this whatever what you do never look them in the eye and always stutter works every time yeah exercise I wouldn't accept 28 year old with three kids if you sold so much of a troll honestly like the 18 year old that's fine come on what I I try to put an effort into the people in the eye constantly though but it can be it can be a little hard like right now it's hard for me to look at the phone whenever I'm talking to someone I always look them in the eye though like an actual person but um I mean like uh well you could even tell them that like exactly remember he's already been go back to this recording he's actually just told me like hey I'm going through the door trying to find people that need what we do um I'm also trying to improve my problems with uh improve myself with communication because I don't talk to people very often and I would love any tips you have for communication and I'd love to get your permission to look around your house to see if I can find any problems and hopefully I don't have any problems but if I do I would love to uh see if we can help you guys yeah yeah you can even do that and be completely honest with them then they'll be like hey this guy's being completely honest people love that dude people love that you can do that yeah I'll have to people have to write that one down yeah so you repeat what they say you uh you repeat what you want to say you listen to people who are articulate and you uh record yourself talking and say it over and over and over and over and over again where it's second nature and try to bring out your sincereness through what you're saying use their garden hose and blast some water up and on their soffit knock on the door and point out their roof is leaking yeah like for real um since you started doing these lives and when I saw you at Camp you said that we should go that I should go on the live with you when you first told me that I was like yeah sure no way and then you kept on asking me kept on asking me and I'm like you were kind of giving me a little bit of the confidence and uh hyping me up and I was like you know maybe I'll go on maybe I'll go on because you were really like motivating me and then I went on and it was a little awkward it's still a little awkward but I I feel that I'm opening up more and I'm getting better with being a little more confident so I think this is really helping me out talking to you in general and I know you do the voice recording so now I'm trying to start to do them too with you and that's giving me a little like I'm a little more okay with hearing myself in a recording I used to hate that I still do but I I think I'm getting better so I think that's one step forward amen there you go don't change that testimony well thank you I appreciate it it's an honor that you think that but don't change that testimony about getting better even if you feel terrible it is actually a spiritual thing God wants not just to help you through salvation but he wants to help us with our our personal lives he must help us with our jobs finances marriage kids everything he wants to be in every facet of our lives so more important than everything I've told you pray say God I want your help don't act like you're talking to yourself you're not act like you're talking to him because he's always there so you're talking to him when you do these things and yeah because like I wanted you to join because I knew you had value you were married with the kid you own two businesses and you built your own house are you kidding me like I don't even have to work you up like anybody could do that I think you have value and it's actually the person that is sending you down like that and make you feel that way you're making anybody it's actually the devil yeah yeah it's actually what it is and the more that you speak his language the more that you preach a sermon he can say Amen to like oh I just I'm not confident I just I just I just can't do it amen and what you said earlier hey I feel like I'm getting better God's like hey create your brother yeah yeah I want you to do more you can do it sorry um also in church too um my dad has never been super vocal in church so I was I've never really uh you know I've never really had the pull or the you know to be like amen or whatever or like even raise my hand really until recently like especially camp Camp really did something before me and after Camp ever since then you know I'm I'm listening more to the sermon and I'm like heck yeah like amen yeah raise my hand you know I'm getting more comfortable with myself doing that and um you know I think that's uh part of that too stop clicking the pen I'm doing that thanks uh JJ thank you very good well that's awesome keep it up you got this you will get better you are getting you are already better than what you were before um this repetition is doing it over in reverse all these different things and it's uh because I wanted to build because making I don't try to build confidence in someone I don't have faith in I can try if they have like if they have no faith in themselves and they're not actually good like I can do my best anyway you actually have value you have something that a lot of people don't like Leo is really really comp really really uh what's the word um way more confident than me is talking but you have what he does you have what all the student has dreaming of a wife a baby you own two businesses and you built your own house don't shoot ever let Satan convince you that what you have isn't enough communication what am I trying to communicate to you that you continue and also that hey you're better than what you were you're gonna fail when you try going to door-to-door You're Gonna Fall fly in your face but as long as you know it's gonna happen and it's consistent it'll be effective don't expect to never fail expect to fail and then what am I going to do from there pretty much get back up you want to get back up yeah it's just gonna happen it's just part of it like today I almost threw my mouse across my room because someone was a jerk over the phone and I was like wait this is what I get paid for this is my job no is what I know is what I do for a living yeah it's at your size of that dream of having a wife and kids yeah if only just said I had wife and kids then his life would be even better first thing you do person doing the answer to the gore is give yourself a professional introduction yeah it's you want to figure out what the interaction is going to be like plan it ahead do self-evaluation and just do it how you want to do it you want to communicate something with them this is the meta conversation they open the door they don't want to be talking to you they want to be on the couch watching uh some random show or whatever they don't want to be there but if if you're talking to someone and the only way they're going to want to talk to you is if you get one of two things from what my manager tells me and that is information they've never heard before um showing them that you care about them and you want to know more about themselves because who's the most interesting person in the room to you the person most interested in you yeah so you know you can even use stories thank you very much this is what I do you're like hey someone says like oh yeah I don't know if my refresh right great or okay like yeah hey I completely understand me come from man I talk to people all the time just like you some people you know they they think they have no problems and I go look at there's a ton of problems you know some people have have a bunch of problems or that they think they do and they look at it there's nothing and some people you know they think there isn't problems now look and there is so I hope that there's no problems but you know what do you think the case is for you they're gonna be like well I don't know like hey that's why I'm here is I hope you don't have any problems but I would love to uh to look good and you're telling a story it's story selling so if someone else has gone through what they're going through they can emotionalize it and connect to it like oh someone else did someone else went through this too okay no maybe maybe I'm interested in learning more yeah you know that's another attack there's no that's another little little thing you can do too yeah JJ we were talking about door-to-door handyman and roof sales yeah and I would change the way you talk about it it's not dotted by handyman or roof Trails it's um door-to-door handyman and roof repair that saves people thousands of dollars on their homes long term if they have problems yeah that's the way I look at it you're you're not selling people products you're removing paintings people's lives people either run from pain or towards pleasure and your business is running from Pain yeah there you go it's true right pretty much you've got it you have a product you have a value and you're not would you want to repair someone's roof that didn't need to be repaired no no and some roofers would you know then we would try and somebody need a new roof and they'll lie to the homeowner and be like yeah your shingles are very damaged blah blah and the homeowner will just go for it because they're not going to get up on the roof and look at it they don't know especially a homeowner that bought a used house and they have no idea how old the route is a roofer can convince them that it's 30 years old when it could be only five or two no yeah you could tell people that too that's the story you could say some people do that I'm not gonna do that to you you could even tell people I'm a Christian I believe that I believe that we should be honest people love that especially old people my dad used to go door-to-door selling antiques he'd ask people if they had any old stuff and he'd buy their old stuff mostly you know like you know mostly old people um so it's value and you're conveying something like when I speak why do people believe me some of it's what I say for those that's how I say it I I want to come across effectively I am just a 22 year old kid but I have gone through a tremendous amount of trauma and pain and by God's grace I've sold tremendous amount of product for people and I sincerely believe that anybody can get better any part of communication that they do if they just um work on it if they just persistently try they will get better that's right you said your dad sold or he bought antiques it bought Antiques and then he would go and sell them okay so he would go he would go door-to-door buying antiques yeah he said hey hey guys I'm going to the door buying old stuff from people you guys having yourself and they want to yeah that's it I love it yeah he was cool he bought some really cool stuff God helped him and remember this too when you do it God is with you it is is a thought from the devil that we're just Sunday Wednesday were saved we're okay and our businesses ourselves and no God's with you in it right you I pray before you I would pray before every door that you knock on you never know if you're stopping domestic violence you never know if they're gonna say hey please come in you never know if that old person is so depressed they wanted to just kill themselves and you want to talk to them and you listen to them Ramble On for 20 minutes is the thing that saved you never know yeah wow yeah that's a good point guys with you wherever you go and you're not you know you don't have to work with people there's total Sinners which is great so people are knocking the doors on God's with you and when you're conveying that it's actually the holy spirit in you coming out saying hey I'm actually just trying to help people will recognize that some people remember this people will be jerks it's gonna happen and then things that you have to say to yourself is it's kind of like what a guy has to say to himself if a girl rejects someone the most ungodly way possible so what who cares who's next on to the next and that sounds strange like oh a guy's gonna go into the next girl technically yeah or if a guy is a jerk to a girl so what who cares who's next it's gonna happen on to the next that's sales on to the next someone was a drink to you great on to the next that's the job the job is you knock on the door they say go away don't have a knock on my door again you take it like okay okay okay cool and then don't emotionalize it and then go on to the next door and don't take anything from that Old door and bring it into the next person I've had people be jerk I deal with no is what I do for a living hearing the word no hearing people reject me my job is to take rejection and not take the first one that's why if someone's like I want to offend you by saying I'm not interested in you I do it for a living don't flatter yourself you know I do it all the time so like it's just a job so you can't do it it's it's within you if there's a deep call there's going to be a deep to respondent if God made me like just try to do it and he's going to be there with you it's going to help you because you're meaning to do it right and it's uh any negative thought in your mind did not come from God I came from the devil so you can get you can do it so what who cares who's next when I said a minute and a half voice message to my manager earlier today just rantings are so mad but I had to say so what who cares next to say uh Josiah McLean says last time someone slammed the door on my face I sat down on the sidewalk and cried like a girl hey I'm saying I understand like that's better honestly than throwing a brick at their window or something foreign to you I can I can tell you everything I want but if I don't ask you how you're feeling it's not actually selling selling is getting you involved so I'm selling you into this by getting involved by asking you questions so what are your thoughts now what are your thoughts overall after all of this um I would say I'm motivated I'm motivated to try all these things that you uh that you said and uh by the way 24. sister the perfect afterwards huh uh just reading the comments sorry okay yeah so I mean listen like when you met Steph like obviously you had some communication skills how exactly did you get along with Steph enough for her to want to marry you ours wasn't ours was an interesting relationship and still is basically I won over by making fun of her like all the time somehow uh that attracted hurting me I don't know um I guess she thought I was funny to him say what I was asking Steph why that attracted her to you We're not gonna ask her you want to hear what oh he was just asking like how we met or whatever oh I don't know well you said that you got her to like it by making fun of her I want to ask her like why that worked no she don't she don't I don't think she's comfortable getting on here and talking I'm too crusty right now uh you know you don't have to show your face you can just talk let me see what's going on here but I mean yeah basically I guess she thought I was cute or something no I thought you thought I was I thought you were up before she met me because we had talked on we had talked on Instagram and she thought I was ugly when I first like started texting her yeah like like she looked at she looked at my Instagram she's like who is this ugly kid time to text me and I guess um she thought I was funny after texting for a couple months and then I invited her to um my 20th birthday event that I was doing with some other kids wash my car and then um she came to that and I got to hang out with her at like um we went to Chuck E cheese and hung out and um and then after that we uh with the Chick-fil-A with another friend like the next week and then I just started taking her to church like I said I wanted to go to her church and uh with her and see what it was like and then we started going to church together basically and then we so we'd go to church together every Sunday and then we did that we've been doing that ever since and that's just how it started um yeah interesting okay he's like huh it's that easy how far away do you live somewhere 15 minutes I wish I lived 15 minutes away from anybody my age honestly guy or girl but hey how many people go to your church however how many people go to your church about 15. 15. when my dad uh moved here we had about 40 and then there are a lot of them were old people a lot of them died and a lot of people left they shouldn't leave a lot of people a lot of people should be doing a don't and people don't like to be under the subjection of a pastor and uh we do however have a lot of views online so after about a week after a service we'll get over a hundred views on our Facebook live so we might have you know 15 people in person we have a hundred online for the online stuff so um there's that aspect of it yeah so you you have any youth at your church at all like even one person no whatsoever even one let's see I got my family but you got Thomas Hey Thomas Josh Anna Sarah Amy Ruth oh Amy and Ruth and Sarah and Anna and Mom and Dad and you know my mom and dad my dad's my best friend because Olivia came from a church that also small Church also numbers fluctuated over the years yeah I mean we have people moving here now but that's Christmas probably going to go up in numbers but um people go online to the watch uh gone to camps all my life so um this seems crazy to me dude um 15 people Jerry and Brianna they their church is only like 20 people they said and you know they said it was 20 to 25 people I said that's crazy I think our churches are about 200 and the other church that I used to go to was probably around maybe 250 to 300 and for some reason I always thought that was small or like not small but like not big either when they were having services in the old location there was maybe a thousand people in there it was pretty big it's going to be even a big one to finish that it'll be I don't know maybe 1500 Maybe it's a lot of people around the area yeah [Music] a lot of people um in the area I think like I know there's some people in Knoxville and Chattanooga people a couple hours from our church that go to over the dining system this is like that because they're closer to that but Donny's but there are some people that need to be going to uh to church and don't because they don't want to be under the subjection to a pastor yeah um where we're two or three guys in my name I'll be in their midst and it's uh whether it said one of some of his best Services where people a lot not a lot of people and the uh would you have the online ideas we have a lot of people that watch like that's Grace uh as Joe Simon learned the church he was raised and had yeah so it's you know but my dad uh when he was running one day in Wisconsin was going to someone else's church with Don lightner's Church um God spoke to him and said you are gonna you're moving and then my dad took my mom like hey God told me we're moving I was like where are we moving to I have no idea and then God spoke to me again like then my dad got a call from a man who knew someone from a man from uh I think it was for someone who knew someone who knew that the pastor at Sweetwater Tennessee but the Jimmy Gibson that passed away and they need a new pastor and my dad said oh well there's a little wants to wants to lead us and man I prayed more I was like is that the one I think God said yes it is so when therea became the pastor and actually uh was prophesied by a man named uh by Thomas he said that uh thus saith Lord every single person in your congregation will be gone and replaced with others and that has happened so far everyone from the original congregation 40 people don't go there anymore either they're dead or they're backslip and left the message or whatever and uh being replaced with new ones by God's grace so it's um you know God bless God places us wherever he wants us to be with the online Audience by God's creation we have like 3.2 000 followers on on our church page and um you know we get we'll get hundreds of views and some of the online at least 100 views in these services so it's uh so yeah that's I guess to me about me you did not know but it's uh that's interesting and how often do you preach like twice a month or something like that um I'd say that's the best it depends some month is once some months is four five or six times just depending on average I'd say it's about once a month depending um but there's like my dad got sick one time and I pre and and then he went to a funeral so everyone to preach a funeral so I preached Wednesday Sundays Wednesday Sunday Wednesday Sunday five or six services in a row wow so it just it just depends all I got asked a friendship of the Scott Smiths uh brother Matthew Robinsons um brother Darren kinser's other places just depending um so uh really is just whatever God wants um let's see I will say when you're from a small group it's easier to focus on your walk with the Lord as there are minimal functions and distractions well yeah I mean it's also easier to yeah I'd say so I mean it's uh that's why as Isaiah that I I answer those questions about guys and girls communicating because the only way I can communicate with any girl is virtually they're going to be at least three hours from me at a minimum right and it's hard for me to navigate this world of you know different social hierarchies or different social situations based on how people want to do things because they've been raised in the social situation the search social and come across in certain ways people are too strong or too fast too slow whatever because I'm not familiar with their with the game that they play that's one of the reasons why I'm asking so many questions about these things because I genuinely don't know I think I think we if I had 30 guys and 30 girls that went to my church yeah I'd probably have a girlfriend but you know it's uh little different but I believe that God put us I know that God put us where we are to do our best and uh in my service and so you just want to do all that I can you're the uh you're the oldest out of your siblings right I'm the tallest you're not the oldest no um Timothy James would have been almost 33 he was a stillborn and there's Anna she's 31 Joshua's 30. Amy's 28 Sarah's 26 and then 22 Thomas is 20. Ruth is 14. okay so I'm the tallest right yeah I I haven't met any or other assemblies other than uh Thomas did they all go to Camp I guess yeah so Anna Anna and Sarah and Amy and Josh all went to Camp some really young and then they got older Joshua is running on his own business Amy got married Sarah got married and I got married and now it's Thomas Ruth and I going to camps oh so it's fun gotcha yeah it's pretty cool that's great that's I we enjoy it it's pretty neat yeah um all right man well I'm gonna hop off here it's time for me to go to sleep oh man it was fun thanks for coming on here um if anybody wants let me put in the chat um communication questions welcome and I'll pick in the comments okay so someone asked how do you communicate with someone you don't fully trust so that would depend on what you mean by fully trusting them um I have I do experience that a lot so communicating with somebody not fully trust don't be very vulnerable with them depends on what you want to get out of it you can ask them hey uh if I see if you don't fully trust them you need to ask yourself why you don't fully trust them others control you and get you to react so that they can say oh I got them are they going to tell you something against you are they going to try are they either trade why didn't you trust them I would look more into why is it that you're thinking that you don't fully trust them and then go from there so how do they communicate with them just simply it's just at a high level that's right there you go what's up John you can join if you want because we are talking about communication how to be more effective at communicating if you want to be bad at communicating what are things to avoid things like that we want to be effective in the way that we communicate with others we don't want to be uneffective and that's what this live is about someone asked how they're supposed to communicate with someone full of trust and I said at a high level in a simple way don't be vulnerable with them don't tell them things you wouldn't want the public it's the YouTube video analogy if what you tell them was put into a YouTube video and it went viral with hundreds of millions of views would you want what was there to be in public if you wouldn't don't say it to them because not trusting someone isn't just something based on what you tell them but what they um what they tell you and what you tell them it's instinctual in your mind um someone says how to communicate when both parties have gossiped about each other and both are avoiding forgiving each other you're about to go into a restaurant okay cool John hope you enjoy the restaurant um so it depends like are you one of the parties that have gossiped about the other person and you're trying to avoid forgiving them are you um what's up Seth King you can actually Seth if you join biblical notification people will join if you want you know there's different ways to communicate this well yep there's all sorts of different ways um Seth King you can join if you'd like it's totally up to you man how to communicate when both parties have gossiped about each other and both are avoiding forgiving each other if you're one of the people that if you're one of the sides that have gossiped about the other what you can do is you can make it right which means apologize to them for your side say you're sorry say you're wrong not with the intention of expecting an apology back from them but just to get your mind straight and to get you or part right because we're called to forgive people not to hold things over them even if they need to apologize to you even if you did nothing wrong even if you did one little thing wrong and they did the other than 99 wrong if you need to uh apologize to them and say you were wrong but gospel gossiping about them or not forgiving them then do that do your part with no expectation for them to do theirs you need to make making pieces more important than being right now if it's about something like someone saying the message is wrong or something like that then that's a little different but if it's some little tussle about some stupid relationship that didn't work out or something like that making peace is more important than being right um so make peace with them make peace Above All Else someone says how to grow your levels of Friendship with girl slash guys uh as far as with guys be honest with them ask them about themselves offer support fix one of the problems without them you know if they tell you that hey I have this problem with uh I don't know if my phone case has fallen apart I just can't afford to fix it vitamin if a new phone case it shows that you care you know this is one thing you could do um listen to them ask them if you'd like if you'd like hey you're talking about your problems do you want me just to listen to you do you want me to help you fix this problem um don't steal men or don't straw man them don't take what they're saying to an extremely attack it don't troll them don't gasp about them be honest with them be straightforward if you want to be someone's friend if you want to grow your relationship with someone like I told a friend of mine's like hey bro people don't like listening to you talk because you sound so weird and that hurt him but I was being honest with them because I needed to help them so if a girl is gossiping about people behind their back and she's your friend if you're really her friend to say hey look you're not as a gossiper people know that you talk about others behind their back you need to stop doing that or not even tell that you need to stop business like hey I don't think you should do that am I saying you're wrong I'm not saying that I'm judging you I'm just saying maybe you shouldn't do that to grow your relationship with someone your friendship with the girl with a guy if you're if you're a girl or whatever be honest with them say hey look man like you know we're friends and you know but you know you need to you need to make a choice about your haircut you need to either shave and you need to grow out you know whatever be honest with them about something someone you normally wouldn't and see what they do if they get all offended they're not your friend if they say oh well thank you then they're your friend because a true friend tells them the truth a fake one just bees really really nice that people say like girls will be really nice each other in person and then you know gossip about each other behind the back guys will be it jerks to each other in persons like oh that little loser over there that jerk guy you know kind of joking or just teasing him then behind their backs like yeah that guy is awesome so be to someone's face what you are behind their back honest be straightforward you want to grow your friendships with guys and with girls be straightforward with them be honest with them um tell them things that they don't want to hear but they need to hear like you know if I wouldn't have apologized for what I did with Kade one of my true friends would have told me hey David you really need to apologize for that it doesn't matter even someone said hey I think you were right about the music thing but you need to stop you need to change your spirit on that be a true friend so if you know if you're if you're a girl if you're a guy trying to get a better friendship with a girl ask her do you want me to listen to your problems or do you want me to help you fix them that'll go worlds ahead because there's so many girls that are so in love with guys who just try to fix all their problems instead of listening to them and supporting them in their feelings because girls a lot of times they already know how to fix their stuff so be honest with these people honesty is the best honestly is the best way to grow your understanding yes is the best way to grow a friendship be honest don't lie I don't misinterpret someone don't change something that's why people don't don't some people don't like interacting with me because I'm just gonna be honest I'm not going to speak the language of rubbish or just troll I'm gonna be honest you know of what we should and should not do we should go from there so um let's see if I have any more questions a bit back I could go on about this communication thing for a long time what we want is to be effective we want to come across in a way that changes someone's mind not just to you know like someone told me one time they thought I I was wrong in something I was saying in my stories and I was just like what was I wrong about I wasn't asking that so that I could try to Corner them so I was asking them because I was genuinely wondering what I was doing wrong so that I could improve we want to be better in our communication all the times all the time it would be a better communication with each other with ourselves everything really that's what we want to do so to grow your levels of Friendship with Carolina guys be honest with them and ask them what they want from you say what do you want from me on this you know so here with Zay he wants to be more effective that's half the part of it he wanted to be more effective so I asked some questions I learned about situation so because you've grown up with sisters you understand better than some others how to deal with girls how would you tell a guy who grew up with their sisters how to interact with girls um look at things from their perspective you have to realize that they are fragile beings and literally every single almost every single guy in their entire lives is bigger than them stronger than them who intimidates them within anyone too so there that girls want what girls want guys to evaluate want people to Value what they say they want to feel valuable for something other than being pretty a girl that's raised and she's just naturally gorgeous she's just beyond measure pretty she will want to go get a Nursing degree or go to this or build this business because she wants to be valued for something other than her looks because she didn't earn those she wants people want to listen to it now just because she's pretty but because she has something of value to offer so if you want to get through with the girl when you're talking to her value something about her other than her looks so that's part of it girl likes being touched is pretty but if you compliment a girl on something she worked for she'll love you if she tells you better problems listen to them say I'm so sorry that you're going to do that with your mom uh do you want me to keep on listening to you or do you want me to try to help you fix this or what are you wanting from me in this it'll go miles instead of interrupting her listen to what you're saying repeat after you tell me that your mom is getting mad at you about this or your brother or whatever repeat it back to her listen to her active listening is taking someone saying simplifying it and repeating it back to them in the most uh desirable way a girl wants to feel her a girl wants to feel valued and the girl wants to feel like you are thinking about them and no girl wants to think that other other girls in your minds besides her if you want to be romantic with her make her think she's the only girl on the planet to you have like 50 people at their Church their age that are guys and girls so you um so what would I learn how to interact with girls they're human beings they're not pieces of meat I know we already know that but they're human beings treat them as such that's why I don't like the race thing because it's not genuine what are you trying to do pick them up are you trying to pick them up you're trying to get get a girl to like you why what what about her was valuable enough to you the way you wanted to talk to her when you talk to the world do not seek to get her to like you seek to learn about her the most interesting person in the room to a girl is the person most interested in them even more than the really really attractive guy playing athletic guy playing volleyball because he's very interesting but if a guy walks up to a relatively good looking as good style has good grooming his fingernails are clean he has a good posture good haircut well put together good tonality she's going to want to listen to him and then he asks her about herself and he smells good he looks good he talks good he has good eye contact it's not intimidating he's going to want to talk to him those that's why I said that's the real pickup line it's a bunch of garbage saying oh you have to get this pic no you don't you don't and I'm angry about it because people are putting the world's thoughts above what God thought what what about the bands say about dating and courting and all that he said dedicate your life to God be careful Russell said give this man a mental thank you I have great sisters that give me a ton of great advice over the years foreign girls have value and you what I want to do in a conversation with a girl is what is valuable to them what are they like talking about and find that out and at the same time as them doing that they're learning this guy's good looking this guy's well put together this guy's asking me about myself he's picking up on my cues he's picking up in my hints hope he likes me guys the message should be able to hear the young sisters and they'll pray for them as well yes they should and whether now you pray for them comes through when you talk to them so they want to be valued and they want to be heard because being pretty yes it's part of it but if all you ever go on about is like oh you're just so gorgeous so and so you're so they're gonna be like enough enough I did this other thing given to recognize that at all because girls are so told they're pretty from that when they're 12 years old they're you know they're they've Associated being pretty with being hit on by weird guys in some ways and they want to be recognized for something they've earned because they know they're not as effective a guy but some stuff but they want to be valued they want to be looked at for something other than being someone who can have kids they want to be valued they want to feel like their voice is just as valuable as yours as a guy that's how they want to feel if you can portray that in what you're saying how you say it you will be effective with girls if you were just trying to get their number or you're just trying to say hey I'm the one Ghost as they have a pastor does he have a car does he have a good income does he have all these different things and then if he has all those things and he still wants to talk to you why does he want to talk to you and see if he really really immensely says if he says he loves you he says all these different things but he's never putting aside the time and the effort to come and visit you when he could and he doesn't really value you I believe like that's Grace God made me the way that I'm a genuine person if I say something to someone I genuinely mean it with all my heart and soul I do I'm an girls want to be valued all these different things um girls want to be looked at with value not just as the pretty girl they want to be looked at with things as a guy what red flags would you caution girls to watch out for for dating a guy um a guy that wants to initiate a bunch of physical contact all the time that's a big red flag because as men we're supposed to be the uh the judge jury executioner on what is allowed in physical contact and what's not we're not supposed to have the girl stop us that's saying stomach it makes me uncomfortable you're supposed to be the man of the physical contact I get it girls who are that sounds strange I've had let's see a girl that girl girl and then that girl three girls in my lifetime when I'm next to them you're so wildly attracted to the time if he doesn't talk about your parents with respect he doesn't respect them another big red flag for girls to watch out for in guys is guys that can't talk about God by that I mean someone who won't talk about God they'll talk about the truck they'll talk about that job that talk about money but they won't talk about God ever you want a guy who has a really a relationship with God um the way he treats his mother the way he talks about his mother another big red flag is if a guy never tells you hey I can't talk right now I got stuff to do if if he never says that then he's desperate and he is uh he has no life it's just true another big thing to watch out for is uh guy is um see what else we don't go to church or we miss um sometimes because of work listen me job I've ever had I've told them hey look I don't work Sundays and Wednesday nights period like oh well you have to do this like I don't care I will be the best worker you have by far but I'm not working Sundays or Wednesday nights period ever or you can't have me and I've missed it on jobs because of that I had the the manager after these ones when I was 16 years old tell me oh well everyone does it even the co the managers uh the uh his assistant pastor she has to work too I'm just like I was thinking well for one she shouldn't be the pastor she's a woman but I was like I don't care I works on this and they didn't hire me a man that works on the Lord's dead enough he has an emergency that's fine but if it's a normal thing that's something to watch out for he doesn't value going to church that highly I don't work on Sundays period or Wednesday nights that's not something I do and I make no exceptions except you know except like uh Black Friday or something like that I guess the work I have now they let us off for those days so what red flags should the girls watch out for when dating a guy another one yes he also don't Works businesses it's good to you Joy we're not supposed to it's people um other ones is a guy that can't listen if you oh guys wrong about something and you're actually writing it like my sister Sarah she told me one time that you can receive the Holy Ghost without can only make if oh he makes me laugh but does he ever talk about serious things ever like making laughs part of it of course but if a guy doesn't have a serious side that's what it's like as well um let's see other red flags and guys that girls wouldn't know about um yeah there you go what led you to become so open to accepting correction it's something some people will struggle with perhaps a lack of humbleness um what led me to become so open to accepting correction being so stupid being wrong whether it be so open to accepting correction because it's the only way to grow I recognize so I guess Grace is younger wait I don't have to be right all the time I saw what it did to friends of mine growing up when I was growing up friends of mine they could never say they're wrong and both of those guys that could never say they were wrong all three of them divorced out of the message no longer going to any church all three of them I think one of them goes to a Baptist Church but no longer the message all of them and I saw what it did to them and I realized my dad would tell me David more than anything else you gotta be willing to say you were wrong that's the deal of the hour to say I was wrong and I realized oh wait when I say this actually people respect me more people want to listen to me more and as a preacher I want to be effective even though I was 16 years old I have to say I was wrong otherwise I hope it would get anywhere so what let me be so open to accepting correction making a lot of dumb things that I did and realizing I want to come across effective I want to be effective I want people to take what I say and go with it to their lives because what I say is I'm just copying what other people have said you should definitely progress with the David I will always intimate it's more with my audience with people it's more pressure why because I like pressure that's another replacing a guy if he doesn't like pressure I like it or not light pressure but we can't that's why the biggest hurdle you can uh overcome is yourself and you have to do that in order to learn if two people don't recommend a relationship if there's a suggestion you you would give to a girl to help the man want to prioritize her um ask him ask him about his problems asking about his day if they're in a committed relationship if and the girl really wants to please the guy ask him about his day ask her what went ask her what made him feel um compliment him like seriously us guys we don't receive them any compliments I remember every time any like even I think there's a girl I talked to like two and a half years ago she said I had a handsome voice I still remember that to this day um so guys don't get me to come up let's give them compliments say oh well so and so you're so cute he's so amazing you're such a great man I respect you so much I'm honored to be your girlfriend happy birthday he comes in um he comes with that comes to the house like if you're married whatever come to the house be waiting for him at the door be his peace at the end of the day not his struggle like I was in a relationship where a girl wasn't my piece so I had to end the relationship so or if I was in that either in a relationship if a girl is just constantly complaining or constantly pointing out faults that's so something you want to be in so think how can I be more effective with this guy that I love that I want to be with and do that and do the harder thing because you want to be more effective so so you give the girl to help the man want to pray I will want to prioritize you if you do exactly what he would want you to do happy because he actually do it but because you did it without a masking if he comes back home from a day-long work whatever and he's hungry make sure you have what his favorite thing served figure out how to do it and make it um rubber shoulders sit next to him cuddle up next to him uh if you're dating or courting whatever ask him about his day ask who it went and um if he if you know he wants to FaceTime you don't always make it where he has to be the one to ask him to say hey would you like to FaceTime me and if he asks you a question and instead of saying oh yeah sure say oh I'd love to you guys love that won't be valued we want to be told that we're good at stuff like hey you're so good at your job so he'll prioritize you if you prioritize him um you know it's it's a it's a this is very you know strange way of looking at these things but um if the girl once they got a prioritizer she needs to remove pain from his life you know at the end of my days like when when I find whenever a part of my life or where I dated whatever girls next to whatever stuff like that at the end of my day I'm stressed I'm done with problems I'm done with corrections if she says uh David you should have called 20 minutes ago or if I go and visit a girl for her birthday why can't you visit me on my birthday on Wednesday why do you have to come on Thursday please don't do that guys trying to do something for you trying to visit you don't argue with him but the days be really thankful that he's visiting you at all it is us guys if we like a girl but they should also that part of the outward appearance is part of it a character is the thing that matters the most of course but if you don't have attraction you won't have a good marriage that's guys that just talk all about our appearance and all those different things um one thing that I wasn't that I know people won't like very much but I want to say it people get mad one time at a camp when when they heard that guys were rating girls from one attacked a man working differently of course then I enjoy sometimes I'll correct something based on now of what you say or what someone says but based on someone's false perception of it if you look up not a camp when they had guys rating girls from one to ten I think I should talk about that behind their backs but this but the idea that it's wrong to think of people as attractive or more attractive you think that that's a wrong thing it's just not true girls do that with guys guys do that with girls it's actually a virtue signal I'm saying I'm holier than that because I never did of course you do girls look at guys today this guy's more attractive than the other guy this girl's more attractive than the other one that's true but they should also try to look at character as well what specific compliment do you believe guys would like to receive from girls uh it depends on it depends on what you want to get from the guy if you want to be relationship then or maybe throw it over handsome you want to be told uh let me see here's something cute I'm gonna be told that we're smart brilliant effective when we're told that we are really good at our jobs because we do our best if a girl tells a guy hey I think you're really good at your job or you're really humble or you really have a relationship with God or whatever the guy I enjoy watching you play whatever so yeah good stuff guys good stuff Joshua Bernie isn't alive what's up Josh how's it going and I don't speak for all men guys I don't you look good and you look pretty uh don't say you look pretty just to a girl if you want to be just friends don't say look good look nice look amazing in that dress whatever but don't say you look pretty no do not say that because that's specific um being like tweet suit sure yeah why not so it's a cool anybody can buy a suit you want to make it a general statement something anybody can do anybody rather than specific to the guy because you want to tailor your compliments based on things in order to be more effective I have to speak for all guys you know I have a different perspective and then I'll other guys do other good things different foreign guys I'm Different I'd say I'm more different than almost every guy you'll ever meet in your entire life um doing good thanks everybody I'm great Joshua did you ever get that uh Java car dealership if you figured that out what you can do with that or what do you what are you doing as far as that area goes so yeah those are the things um do you guys have any more questions at all I am uh almost ready to wrap up um we want to be effective in communication I could go on about this I might do another live about this depending on who's on um so it says what world of facial expressions gestures and pauses playing communication a big deal whether you can be effective is when someone says something to you um which take way to wait a couple seconds for them to finish with this thing once they're done wait a couple seconds and then respond I'll give you more sorry Mr say what'd you say little uh Joshua how's it going with the um with the car dealership did you get a job one of those yet Olivia says I had some savior creep following me around Walmart and tell me how beautiful I thought I was an angel he wanted to spin around to me he wanted me to spin around for him and smoosh to space against mine in a hug I was trapped against ice cream features oh gosh that's really weird Olivia sorry how did you go through that also oh another thing I would say about um about something that guys should know the don't have sisters girls that are really pretty that have been pursued by men their entire lives want something they can't have so if you want to go after the girl who's the prettiest girl in order to Value you you must make her feel as if you are not interested in some ways you've gotta make her chase you kind of in some ways you've gotta um he's gonna start with his wife and left her to follow me the worst follower does and he found me a year later of God it would help us all um until like someone who's been pushed by guys their entire life you want to make yourself into as high status as possible get a really good job um make a little make good money have your life together be where they are and um don't give them what they want if you think if you think they want you maybe don't really believe that you're not interested in them and they want what they can't have in order to initiate the initial contact and then from there you can be honest but that is a way of doing it I know that sounds strange but people want what they can't have that's the truth um you can go I was too desperate but I think that someone recognizes your character your true character they will one know you more um I want to I want to talk to you on the one that emotional connection and you can even if the girl is real pretty and there's been desire a whole life you can connect with her and talk to her and then um be the one to end the conversation say I gotta go don't have her always be the one that ends the conversation or that has to go you be that for her and you lead the relationship so yeah it was he was asking if I had a boyfriend insinuating if he were younger he would date me and fight anyone who tried to bother me he was a straight preacher quite a bad smoking habit that's really weird Olivia holy cow that's really strange yikes all right guys looking good to go this has been fun it's been cool it's been
