would be amazing um I guess it would depend on what what you mean by uh ability and quality if you're talking about a natural ability or if you're talking about a a kind of um a kind of um superpower okay if he was doing it in uh in church would you ask him you know what honestly yeah because I see I see if you do it okay so here here's what I'm going to do what I mean by that is there's different offices of God right when he's the father in the Old Testament you know you touch the mountains you got to die you're going to die and then when he manifested himself as the sun he uh you know saves everybody this is the Holy Ghost is in the uni so when I'm singing a song and uh you know it's it's what it's meant for is it's not a joke it's not a so time to troll it's a it's worship to God that's what it is now if we're talking about LeBron versus Jordan men it's everything is fair most things are fair game but if we if I'm singing a song it's 100 to worship to God and if and if someone is a question the uh here I'm still here let me finish this so like it's uh you know I don't want to mix something from the world and with worship to God it kind of threw me off because like we really like on my podcast I don't want that to be there when I'm singing a you know a Christian song to God really okay but what's the question um so you know my question is you know you talk about like good mentality and stuff in sports well what about Mamba mentality you know like you're great Kobe what about Mamba mentality do you agree with my compliment mentality well so what I'm I've seen of him where he talks about how uh how it's those times when you get up before everyone else and you work after everyone else I know that he would play uh I think it was uh Freddy Krueger's theme song before every game yeah I know you used to do it that was the only thing you listened to when he was working out yeah I know that so would it be good to be mamboo mentality if it had stuff like that in it well obviously but obviously uh Kobe wasn't a message believer and each person has their own opinions on different things I hope so but I know this he has helped more people than you and I will ever help in our entire lives he has donated I think I think it was like 50 million dollars to helping underprivileged kids and uh underprivileged neighborhoods and stuff like that so I hope so I I cried when I found out that he died um because I the thing is here I feel like he's better than everybody by flying the helicopter like whenever you could just start out with traffic because he didn't get up early enough to make it to the tournament for his daughter you know that you know the details of that right never really looked it up I don't like knowing the details is the details is that that day that his daughter was uh had a basketball tournament I like Northern California well they didn't leave in time and they were gonna be missing it and well I'm gonna say is it was foggy that day it was extremely foggy it was love is they were telling them not to fly they were telling do not fly but Kobe is so persistent about flying he's like it's my helicopter I'm gonna give me a pot we're gonna fly so they float they were flying and you know what what they're doing they're flying so low that they were following that highway to get there they couldn't see nothing they were legit flying so low they're flying just like falling the highway so one just because you didn't get up enough in time uh for his daughter to go to the tournament they took the helicopter two um it was so foggy in there they had to fly that low to see the to see the highway through the fog and that's what caused him a crash was they did not see that mountain coming they didn't crash like falling they crashed by flying into it you know that right they were that low to the ground that he didn't they didn't like oh no he lost power crash no that mountain so here's the mountain sucker boom straight into it they didn't even know it happened it's like people like oh what was their final moments like they didn't have a final moment they lose a straight crashed right into the mountain like like a car hitting a tree it was just instant like they had no good chance like they they shouldn't it should never have happened it was crazy it's just mentality mob of mentality would have gotten up maybe if it was like LeBron because LeBron would get up in time I'm not understanding what your point is exactly what I'm saying is maybe Kobe ain't as good as we thought he was with all his mentality stuff maybe we should be more like LeBron mentality concerned he's better who better with what though everything's finals flopping basketball career liberal uh thoughts on live Twitter so LeBron flops at the drop of don't uh well I mean honestly it didn't say that you know John immobility and I actually are doing a uh an analysis of Kobe versus Jordan or LeBron versus Jordan and uh we're gonna and now and we're gonna analyze exactly what the statistics were for both the teams they face in the playoffs and stuff like that like my personal list of all time Jordan and I got Kobe at number two because my personal style of basketball when I was you know about your size except a little shorter and I was uh practicing six hours more a day um then I uh and I was making nine out of ten free throws consistently I was uh I my goal of basketball I was like a uh stop me that's the way that I approached it so I like Kobe more than LeBron if you take away LeBron's stupid politics I break him higher but me personally like Jordan and then um all right what's your what's your right goal with the whole weight thing uh I've been thinking about that what's your goal because you are you're doing all the stuff you're eating how many calories you get like 500 a day uh it depends on the day really it's just to eat until I'm 80 full and then stop like today all I ate was half a cheeseburger and a little bit of fries that's great you did well all I'm saying is what's your goal what are you trying to do um when I was 18 I went from 243 to 213. um right now I'm just seeing how it goes like I know I'm a bigger person meaning like I think my bones and my shoulders have gotten bigger biggest stuff like when I was 18 even when I was around 243 um I was wearing like a medium maybe even close to a large now it's just an extra large so um I'm gonna see what I'm what I look like and how I feel when I'm at about 2 30 225 and I'll go for you uh about 242. I'm saying this if you really want to lose weight then think what you got to do is burn more than you eat you can eat 2 000 calories a day I'm not getting you can eat 2 000 calories a day but if you burn 3 000 calories well you're losing weight it's this that's it that's the trick of it it doesn't matter how little you eat it's at are you burning all of it and you ain't just you ain't burning calories just sitting down you really ain't but you just sit by just sitting around all day not doing anything like nothing like active you're not gonna lose any weight because you're not burning anything but honestly even just running a mile we'll do more for you than you'll realize it really will it really does wonders like oh I'll flip the whole thing around because you got to burn your calories and honestly with your size here's the thing you got clay to make brick okay I mean that is if you went to the gym consistently every day okay five days a week let's just say five days a week and you do each day something different like say Monday would be biceps and back you work out your biceps and your back and then Tuesday you do triceps in your chest Wednesday you do your legs Thursday you do your abs and your shoulders and then Friday could be biceps and back again or you could do cardio which if you do cardiac you run like a mile or two miles you will lose so much but gain so much muscle it'll be crazy like it's it's really it'll do you wonders see for me I'm trying to gain weight so my goal is eat more than I'm burning but I'm not trying to get fat like I don't want to get fat weight I'm trying to get weight to where when I work out and stuff it'll translate to muscle instead of wait because you're saying muscle muscle weighs a lot more than fat yeah have you ever seen a size comparison took a pound of uh like pound of muscle is like it's like like in your palm well a pound of fat is like it's huge so it's much better just to work out and get big the right way rather than just you know I'm saying just not because only eating one meal a day two doesn't do you anything good because it messes with your body you should eat three meals a day okay and that little amount of food it does not work your digestive system well at all messes with your uh let's see your messes with your metabolic rate it messes with a bunch of stuff no I do not work out every day I try to I work out like at least three days a week but yeah but that's been Browning I mean that's something Miss Jackson I don't know who you are you can join up I know who you are and if I talk to you before life all right Eli you ready for me to respond just slap them on there yes hey if someone should be honest out of one yeah well I've got to figure another one if they if they if you don't like it or if you don't like what they're doing then just take them off but if they want to join just let them join because you still can kick them off if you want window opportunities I don't know what that means but let's see to respond to the stuff that people said um yo David used to be a daughter in the court while I used to practice like six to ten hours a day like I would finish school around three or four and it practiced them to like 10 11 to 12 o'clock at night shooting free throw after free throw my at my best I made 27 free throws in a row nine half court shots in our own I can make about nine out of ten three pointers in free throws I don't know I was like 14 years old that's pretty good um but see you like someone said that like LeBron as a player but as a person they don't like the middle I I agree he has a player he's really good but as a person he's not even his personality as a player I don't necessarily like that much and one of my thoughts on David Goggins um I would say outside of the Lord Jesus Christ he is one of the outside of you know things of the Christian nature what's about it's a welcome to life um who's one of the hardest working people on the planet or to ever live however as much as I respect him in things about him he's not a Christian there is no righteousness to um there's no righteousness and cussing and swearing there's no control it takes no character and no aptitude and no will to just cuss away I don't care how successful someone is he needs Jesus he's i'll I look up to him in his cardio is everything it's like physical bodies like that and who's gonna carry the boats and the logs but who's gonna find Jesus Christ in the line I wish she would like that's what I like as much as I respect Jordan Peterson he's not a Christian he's not like I I really respect him I think he's one of the I think outside of outside of Christianity his living like him is probably the best thing he could do outside outside of God but um David Goggins all these different guys they really just need God and to respond to your claims Eli that you don't burn things like it's like a fact oh yeah of course let me show you some facts here just so you know how many calories do you burn while sleeping 40 to 80 calories an hour so in an eight hour window that's terrible you can expect hey that's Hey listen to me I'm still speaking could you not interrupt me thank you that's terrible uh Jerry speaking sleepers burn between 40 to 80 calories an hour so an eight-hour window you can expect to burn 320 to 640. how many calories do you burn while sitting at a desk according to the research public in circulation sitting down on a desk Burns roughly 20 calories per 15 minutes while sitting at a desk staying in this brings 22 calories for 15 minutes so about 80 an hour and how many calories do we naturally burn a day over the course of a day according to Cleveland clinical Clinic Health Essentials over the course of a day your body is natural calorie burn with without any activity can range from 1300 to more than 2 000 depending on your age and sex more on that in a bit so how and why do you burn calories reading sleeping or logging long hours as a couch potato and I'm not saying people should be couch potatoes but what I'm saying is I collectively have lost over 100 pounds using my diet I naturally don't eat breakfast I hate it I'll throw it up a thing that made me gain weight I'm still speaking I'm still speaking the thing that made me gain weight was eating at night in large excess so moving forward in the way that you know to do it healthily is once once I lose a lot of the Sweet By eating tremendously less food over the course of my day I will eat a lot healthier and not eat at night in order to retain what I uh what I have but I have lost a lot of weight right now I don't care about the most optimal way I just want to lose weight and I've done this in the past I'm gonna do it again okay you're saying so if you collectively lost 100 pounds how much did you start off with how much weight were you started off with what do you mean how did you collectively lose 100 pounds so did you weigh like 300 something pounds just being over the course of me trying to uh with me losing weight in my life when I attempted to um what are you asking exactly are you saying that I'm lying no I'm saying is uh uh do you like gain weight back and then you lose pounds and is that why you're adding collectively do you lose weight gain weight lose weight gain weight lose weight gain weight and then oh yeah I wasn't uh I wasn't um what's the word um disciplined enough after I lost weight when I was 18 those I went from 243 to uh 213. and um okay hey real quick see Brianna she is she knows a lot about this stuff so you guys of course you burn calories at rest but eating less than just your BMR wrecks your metabolism you're not getting the nutrients your body needs that's the point you should eat that much because if you're going to be just sitting around and I'm sorry I I've never seen a skinny couch potato okay but you see Runners you see these people who have fit active Healthy Lifestyles they are skinny are you saying no one ever sits at a couch and watches stuff when they're skinny oh no they do I do all the time but I make sure I go do something I'll make sure I go do something and I'm trying to gain weight which is are you saying that I don't go and do stuff I'm saying that if you want to delete if you want to lose weight go honestly go even run a mile a day run a mile day Watch What Happens how much weight have you if you have you ever been in a position where you needed to lose weight and lost weight no I've never had a position where I want to lose weight but I have lost weight I've lost weight in terrible ways because I've had eaten issues where I would not eat for days on end because of anxiety problems and I lose a lot of weight that's why I'm where I'm at now and I agree and you guys are exactly right it isn't the healthy dangerous thing for me to lose weight the way I am the reason why I'm doing it the way that I'm doing it and yeah I play tennis twice a week and I preach and I saw me then I walk probably a couple miles a day sometimes so um I do exercise too the reason why I'm doing it this way is because I tried otherwise and the most successful way for me to lose the weight that I found is the way that I do it it's either juicing or it's this intermittent fasting and um yeah you guys are right you're exactly right the most optimal way to do it is not the way that I do it you are 100 right and I'm wrong in a lot of ways my goal though is to do it effectively and I've tried doing it where I do it slowly and it didn't work because I don't have enough discipline to do it your way I've got to do it the way I do it in order to get it done and once I'm there then I will uh do it from there and I've tried to run the mouth thing I've tried those different things I had allergies I had a deviated septum I have a really short win for some reason and I've well and I'm 14 is that just so you know running will fix it if you say oh I got short of breath I got listen and here's the thing a lot of people with these these uh issues and things a lot of that comes from not being healthy and not being active but once they get active once they start being healthy they get fine like I use it I know somebody who had asthma growing up they had issues but they weren't active at all they started becoming they start becoming active they start doing things the asthma went away they didn't have an issue anymore asthma and they play football they played basketball and they were living healthy like you got to be active yeah I agree with you there's nothing you're starting to disagree with just just Honestly though just sitting there eating only one meal a day is not gonna be any good like you need to eat what you do listen You couldn't possibly change my mind that's stubbornness it is it's probably not no it just it ain't because I'm trying I'm trying to help you out other people trying to help you out because those are bad habits that will cause that can cause issues for you later on the road see me honestly I need to focus on eating better I eat like a pig but I mean like a pig because I know I need to gain weight I'm not gaining weight a good weight I need to gain weight better ways which I've gained weight doing working out I've before going to the gym and stuff I'd eat and eat and eat I won't get nothing working out I'm getting 12 pounds I'm getting gained like two pounds a month since I've worked so what exactly is your point here my point is don't just eat one meal a day and then sit around do nothing my point is you can eat are you saying that I'm doing that yes that's what you've been preaching and that's not what I've been doing though you're wrong what did you eat today half a cheeseburger and fries half a cheese one meal I just said half a cheeseburger and fries that's 1 million today why activities did you do today uh after these lives I'm gonna walk a couple miles good yeah go walk so I do almost every night as I walk a couple miles I probably walk he'd walk a couple months yeah maybe I could maybe you're right maybe we'll try that you watch you run on a mile every day it's not gonna be overtime you're gonna see there's a serious difference it's honestly because when I first started doing gym stuff no differences but over time I shall realize hey there is a difference I am trying to gain weight like and that's why I'm doing it I'll do that because I I'm too skinny I don't like honestly you gotta real like it's got to be the point where you're determined that you're going to be different because I got because I'd always look at myself be like I'm skinny I'm skinny wallet Eli while I appreciate what you're saying you've never had to lose weight like I have and I am loose and lose weight and I have done in the past and I'm still healthy my doctor tells me I've got a perfect bill of health so I do appreciate it and I do exercise I do eat well like like I'm still I'm still I'm still I'm still I'm still speaking I uh I do a whole thing I do exercise and all these different things so I don't appreciate you taking what I'm doing and saying that I'm not doing something when I am I don't like that strong but I'm not I'm saying you could do it better like I don't know why why do you not do something better because it's not sustained because it's not sustainable for me it will sustain you like incredible I've already tried it didn't work how hard did you try very hard did not work the only Point you're trying to do is to try to say that I'm wrong and you're right I'm trying to say is you can do it better and not have to you can always do things better why don't you do why don't you exercise five hours a day you need to do better right I do around two hours every day I try to why don't you do three you could do better right I could if I had more time but I make time for what I do have or just two hours which lately which yesterday and tonight I couldn't because I gotta get up early in the morning because last night I got home at I guess at 8 30. take a shot on that stuff I had to get up at 5 30 so I needed to go to bed so I get to sleep in the morning and then tonight pretty much the same thing I gotta get up early in the morning again go to work but after tomorrow night I plan on going to the gym you gotta make sure now you gotta try like and I'm determined to do it so I'm saying is yeah you could do more you go extreme like David Goggins but I'm just saying is what you're doing though is really not healthy it's not that healthy you're just staying it doesn't do good for your natural body at all yo-yo dieting under eating having poor nutrition could be lots of things you're assuming I have no I have poor nutrition you could it could be before any partition because you're not giving yourself enough for what you need do you know that for sure of course I am of course everything you need if you're not eating enough calories in which here just sitting if you're just sitting there and you're not eating enough calories to keep that you're not getting yourself everything you need your body's eating at itself you don't want that you do not want your body you're having to eat off at you you do not want your bite eat off your fat that's the whole point of my diet intermittent fasting is ketosis is a metabolic state that occurs when your body burns fat for energy instead of glucose that's the entire point of the diet and you know what that does that ruins your energy it ruins your energy because glucose is your energy glucose like I'm pretty flexible with that I think intermittent actually is like there's different here's what I want to explain it is there's things you can do to indirectly affect your calorie count but ultimately weight loss is directly from your calorie count it's not intermittent fasting is not why you lose weight keto is not why you lose weight avoiding carbs or whatever is not why you lose weight you should wait he's here yeah we should wait for him to hear because honestly I'm trying to help him out I'm just trying to get that date what you're doing really good Eda ain't gonna help yeah like if you do it this way it'll help that's what I'm just trying to say it's a great way short David what's up Hey listen this David listen I'll be quiet really quick so your argument is that um here's what I would say first off my position on anything is like um pretty much so like but my thing is this though is that I think sustainable dieting is a big deal it's a huge deal for me if I'm trying to if I'm trying to help somebody with some sustainable diet is a big thing whenever it comes to fads I just want this to be like the main Baseline I hope someone takes something out of this is the main Baseline when it comes to dieting is that calories and calories out number one above anything else I think everybody understands that they should that's number one because if your body's energy tank needs two thousand to maintain your weight then you get under that you're gonna lose weight you get over it you're gonna gain here's the thing you could let's say 2 000 is your maintenance if you eat 1900 calories you're gonna lose the weight super slow but you also keep your muscle mass and then you won't mess up your hormone balances you're going to be doing really good on that if you gain the weight 2100 calories you're gonna be like I'm gonna be skinny forever but you're you're not putting on a bunch of fat and clogging your arteries and stuff and eating McDonald's and Taco Bell and killing yourself so like the things you do with uh what do you call it fad diets like keto vegan whatever it is those are not why you lose weight the intermittent fasting is not why you lose weight um the diet Trends you do is not why you lose weight it's an indirect thing that affects your calories in and out count that's that's that's my main thing I'm not against fat diets I think if it works for somebody go with it but it's not going to be the reason why you lose the weight all the FED diets do is give you a tool to reach the calories in and out and to boost your metabolism so that you can eat more right because if your metabolism boosted you'll be able to eat more if like Eli's saying if you work out more you can eat more not saying that you can just start porking out but like you your calories amount goes up slightly is the kind of yeah I agree well really what I want is to be effective and I've I've tried I tried juicing I ate nothing but salads and meat for a while right I um I I tried exercising like even more than I already do all these different things what I've found and I actually got this from my brother-in-law Alex he has a six-pack he can run 10 miles without stopping he's a white water after instructor and he you know he he I think he's literally 60 days into 75 heart you know he's a boss and what he told me he tried to help me with this dieting thing and what he told me is David these different things didn't work so what I want you to try is this thing I call intermittent fasting and I actually took it and went extreme with it usually I mean fasting is 16 hours on eight hours off for 20 hours whatever I took extreme so I go like 23 hours and 50 minutes on 10 minutes off whatever I eat I eat usually within about 10 minutes and then I don't eat anything else until the same time the next day and while you probably could say yes not completely healthy what I'm trying to do ultimately is to lose weight and once I get there then from that point you know I'm gonna and I'm still playing tennis by the way my dad told me actually last night that I played the best tennis I've ever played so yeah yeah let's go and I also everything I drink has no calories in it as well um so your goal is to lose weight and I try all these different ways you know I tried all these different things and the most effective way I found for me without we'll see when I tried last time I tried juicing I was throwing up all the time it was just not healthy for me it felt terrible but with intermittent fasting I already naturally can't eat breakfast if I eat it I will throw it up like it just for some reason even before I started dining so what I have to do is keep myself from eating at night so you know ate that meal by God's grace it's been the most effective way of me losing weight and I don't always go effective like last night yesterday all they ate was ribeye steak one of them which is what 600 calories tops and I felt so hungry at 2 30 in the morning it's just like I know I'm trying to sleep here but I can't sleep so I uh I ate a few pieces of pizza with uh with a glass of milk and I was fine but it was gross that's still less than a thousand calories that's still like you know 1600 calories for the day whatever but you know the goal is you know less calorie eat less move more which is what I'm doing compared to what I was doing by God's grace and it has helped me to lose more weight what happened is talk about it at night don't exercise at all and one of my you know things that I've added this year is exercising more so that's really the the goal of it you know right um one thing I would add is that I just put this out there huge when it comes to I unintentionally intermittent fasting it's because I don't practice too I'm just like you don't eat breakfast I'd much rather sleep um and I gotta work at 6 30 in the morning tomorrow at any rate Saturday yeah I'm here man yeah I mean Eli knows it gotta do that grind but um but the thing is is like I pay for it because I'm around I work at Chick-fil-A so I'm around fast food and stuff so I'm they give you like what 10 allowance so I'm always going over because I'm starving and it's not because I'm just like actually a starving child it's just because my appetite is through the roof so that's intermittent fasting works good for some people not good for others it could be a negative for some people like me who unintentionally do it's don't intentionally intermittent fast but just kind of doing it anyway because they just get breakfast it's a bad thing because I feel like I could eat a house uh I forgot to add to that I eat so I'm 80 full so if I but like today the cheeseburger I only ate 40 of it and like maybe seven fries so um I'm eating about 70 I guess or 80 of what I'm carving or create craving I mean so like when I started aim at fasting I was 18 at 243 I was eating six or seven pieces of pizza in one sitting when I ended I could eat about two to three in one sitting for the day so um you know I've it's more of trying to eat so I'm 80 full or less to where I I eat the third piece of pizza I could probably eat two more but I stop and I think that also combined with you know 23 hours of fasting is also what helps too okay oh yeah I thought it was a very good stuff you said I think that's pretty good um I for me I used to actually have a big problem about eating breakfast too I used to be sick as a dog after eating breakfast but honestly what I did was I was trying to force myself but I did a little by the Audi a little bit for breakfast and I was getting more Nike breakfast normally and breakfast is obviously my favorite thing I'll like depending where we go I'll get like a whole thing like French toast and I'll get like a bacon egg and cheese until it's not stuff like all sorts of stuff for breakfast yeah and but but see I that's for me is that I'm trying to gain as much calories as I can yeah because I'm active I'm an active person I don't know I'm walking around like with my job I'm usually walking at least four miles a day yeah easily because I'm just walking so much like just doing stuff on my feet so I gotta eat a lot of calories there but also focus on protein too like how much protein eating because when you work out and stuff protein fiber there's a lot of protein fibers in your muscles and whenever because when you work out you're getting the micro tears and stuff that's why you get like sore and everything is that there's militarism muscles when you have proteins the proteins are going to go where they're needed and that's going to be your muscles and it gives you muscle growth right so that's for me but um real quick keep talking you want to say something I also did someone who's 18 too and I was immune fasting I ate zero desserts so I guess that would be the reason why I lost the 30 pounds in two months because aim investing combined with zeros also I was walking over five miles a day because my job was instead of a Walmart walking around talking to people so I'm sure that helped a lot too okay but quick thing though about the ketosis thing or whatever it was called again exactly right now that is not good that is a terrible thing to do it's not good it's not good and natural for your body there's a lot of people that say that it isn't bad for you either so well then people need to get educated because I'm second house classes and I very clearly say otherwise it's not good according to uh health.com as of 2023 that sounds really legit yeah.com as of 2023 research has not shown that intermittent fasting has any more long-term health benefits than calorie restrictions that's not what I'm talking about that's intermittent fasting I'm talking about what you were talking about the whole like ketosis thing whatever because that's what intermittent fasting does to You Luke is on I can't do the exactly where you said but that provides your cells energy for your mitochondria and that activates your cells that makes your cells work properly yeah but when you start doing that other stuff where it's no longer using that but it's using your fat cells it's not giving you near as much energy output for your mitochondria pull yourself for you to function like a normal person it does not so you're actually legit damaging yourself on a cellular level by not giving yourself enough calories you might not believe me but I took in health classes like I've taken a good bit of Health classes and that's what they say it's what it says and if you don't do that you're gonna get in bad shape and you're not even going to realize it until it's a lot of times too late for some people and it's not it does not do you any good so honestly you should eat like what you're talking about all that oh just sitting around I burned this when it goes you need to eat more calories than that because that's tell me because you need I mean there's a balance to things there is a balance but I'm saying is that you can't just go off of that because once you hit that because it does you you no good yeah well like keto the main point is that you're trying to create a you're trying to increase decrease your insulin resistance so that you're able to I mean that can kind of help muscle growth and whatnot and that can help you know your metabolism speed up and whatnot but like ultimately you're trying to create ketones in your body because you're burning fat and not as much carbs yeah yeah but you know again [ __ ] minus the fat I think if we're talking about I think short term I think yes like a thousand million percent do what is best free but as far as all I'm saying is like longevity like if I'm trying to if I'm trying if my goal is to keep somebody on a weight gain or a weight loss Journey like until eternity till the Rapture or whatever you know my goal is like find a workout routine you like you know don't do something just because Chris Bumstead does it or just because so-and-so does it like find one that works good for you and like don't worry about drinking diet sodas like drink all the diet so as you can I feel like you know because like you know it's probably not good for you long term it's probably not good for a long term but like my point is that if someone's gonna keep weight off the name of the game is what can I have not what can't if you're trying to stay working out it's what do I get to do today in my training versus what do I have to do I agree and I've never said that this is a full-time thing I did the intermittent fasting for two months and then I lost the way but this I'm gonna do it to lose the weight and then I will find when they'll find the healthiest diet I can moving forward I I just wrestling so what's your goal weight I'm not sure yet when I was 18 I was down to 213 right now 2 42. and you're six foot three six foot three yeah what does that say about your BMI yeah in a second because two six foot three and being like 243 does not really sound like it's way off but what you could do is if you don't you know what I'm gonna be fat hit the gym like turn it to muscle because if you're six foot three two forty three units UV units you look at the NFL players they're six foot three they're 240 or more and then guys David you'd be jacked if you maybe just how about you just how about why not just yeah why not just go start working out hit the gym dude you you see what I'm saying you got the you could be a unit like if you're you're already around two two four or something that's actually a normal body weight for six foot three guys [Laughter] yeah I the brick I walk and I uh play tennis too you'd be a beast in the block Eli wouldn't stand a chance next year yeah I'm already uh I'm already playing tennis and walking a lot and eating health is well like the night was I was really when I was really uh hungry I ate keto toast with keto peanut butter and bananas and honey on it it was very good very low calories very good and very healthy oh my God it's Grace only 30 30 calories a slice for the bread bananas honey peanut butter started doing working out like say like gosh okay if you get in a cut where it's like so pretty much there's like a broken face and there's like a cutting face so bulking is gaining a lot of weight and like you're getting straight strength too but then there's cutting whereas yeah you explain you're better than this you could explain where I can I'll say something wrong oh you're doing good you were doing good so pretty much okay well so pretty much cutting so bulking is gaining weight and providing yourself more mass to wear when you put you're bigger because you got more to work with that's just I'm trying to bulk in a way just ain't doing that too hot but it's all right um you get to a bulk and then you cut you will be bigger so where you're at nothing there's ain't no rude way you're through a bulking face you hit a cut face I go to the gym start really hitting the weights like hardcore and you'll watch it change it might not change you know in a week or in two weeks but that's where you should take progress scriptures like take a picture of you before Oh and then two or three weeks take a picture of you again and see the difference but I'm gonna just go work out once a week any workout honestly at least three times a week and then you and you work out hard you'll see a good change you'll see a noticeable change you're going to be impressed with yourself like seriously like that that's a good thing like that's a good thing you know because I feel like I haven't changed but honestly a progress picture where I was and I see yeah that's different that's different it does a lot yep it's like a goal it's like anything else you do whether it's like you know and you can eat it's as normal as you want to by the way you can eat right if you want to just you just gotta keep handing them weights and you don't have to worry about dieting or all this crazy stuff like oh I can only eat one meal a day yeah so um yeah you're good see I need to go because I got work early in the morning it's 11 o'clock I can't do this yeah all right but honestly dude just I I wasn't trying to take knock you down or anything I'm just saying there's better ways he could do it they're healthier for you and I guess hit the gym like start working out hit the weights take progress pictures throughout the thing and and watch it and it's like well I should honestly watch your life change watch your life change let's see well it's I think that you need a lot of good I think if you basically put anybody um make anybody's fat content the the the point of a conversation it'll make them a little on edge but I appreciate that I know you're just trying to help I'm not trying yeah I'm not trying to be very fun I know honestly even mentally it helps you like I feel better at the end of a workout like you know I could be frustrated or something I'll go to the gym I'll work out I feel better about when I walk out I would it's a good way to think your frustrations take it out on the barbell yeah I'll just put a picture of you in the Bible Eli okay yeah but uh but honestly that really it will do a lot of good and then in a few months you'll thank us on live all right but I gotta go but take that into serious consideration God years they're all very good and they make me run a lot because they know that they put it from one side and put it all the way to their Source a lot of running a lot of playing we usually play for about three or four hours so that's about eight hours a week tennis that's crazy that's good man that's good dude I'm happy to hear that yeah that's a good form I that's why I would say to people is for people like you know like if you like throwing the football in the backyard you know do that but like you know find something you like to when it comes to exercise just find something you like you know find something that you can say like I get to do this it's like what you were saying I think with either church or I can't remember you were saying something with a swords like you meant to add to like I get to do X you know if you can find that with Fitness or dieting that's what you want oh yeah oh one thing I forgot to mention about the diet that I do it takes a tremendous amount of discipline to only eat once a day yeah and it takes a tremendous amount to only drink things without sugar and it's too it's like I when I want to lose weight I was thinking like I could do it this way or that way really I just want to lose the weight I don't care how it happens once it's done then I'll go from there I feel you thanks for coming on that's nice to have you on oh yeah this was my when you start talking I was like girls like I was texting like a million words a minute but I could I was like you know what I think I probably should I probably should just hop on you know and see this too but as I hate hearing like die pop long term yeah the chemicals in it aren't good Iowa I agree one million percent long term not good for you but if someone's 400 pounds and they're done like I'm hey if if someone's like let's say I don't know a thousand pounds if someone's a thousand pounds you know and like I'm not gonna shame nobody like everyone's different but like if someone's a thousand pounds you know and like and they're drinking diet pop up and you're and like their dietitian tells them you should be doing that fire them I mean just easy made your life really easy you save some money fire them you saved a thousand dollars per month because that's gonna be one of the biggest things that'll help you keep the weight off is having something you enjoy it's volume you know think about it like if you're eating a lot like people are like fruits and goods usually can't have fruits because it's got sugar it's natural sugars your body knows what to do with that if you've seen and you've probably seen the videos you've probably seen a million videos David where they say 200 calories of strawberries 200 calories of X sauce and then the sauce is like this much and then the strawberries is like you know filling your house yeah the volume helps too it's like for you you could you could drink if you want to I probably wouldn't recommend it for the caffeine content but like that's one thing I applaud you for like dude you could drink probably like a whole case of Diet Mountain Dew and while your long-term Health would probably hate you for it right now that's like the best thing you could do you know like well thank you you know I actually started doing Diet Coke Zero caffeine so like in the evenings I only drink diet I only drink diet soda with no caffeine so I can sleep easier yeah it's Friday night in which case I don't care well I mean I probably I probably should care yeah you know what I found actually um is people don't like talking about their weaknesses so I'd say one of mine is getting emotionally involved now I just take a step back and unemotionalize myself and to um people one thing that I found like with this weight thing it's less about uh you must do this like with my family whatever it's really about someone's connection people want to connect people want to have like some people are weighing like something I can talk about something that I have value in and they'll say all these different things and I don't disagree and sometimes when I think they disagree it's about some it's about the way that I'm saying it not necessarily what I'm saying maybe there's misinterpreting me but this where whatever I'm misundersturping them and like if I could put it in the clearest words it's actually like sales I told my two workers when they were with me they were mad at me for something random like I was like guys I don't care how you do it just make sales I couldn't just literally I don't have the ability to care any less about how you do it as long as you're ethical sell and with me with this thing like I know it's not the perfect Giga chat way to do it I know that I know that if I only drink water and they what the what the rabbits eat I would be a thousand times better I I just want to lose the weight I've tried juicing I've tried every other way for some reason the stupid way of eating one meal a day and drinking my diet pop it has been by far the most effective way and I just would be effective once I get there yeah I'll I'll change and I'll do the healthy thing or whatever I'm sure getting married with a lot with all this as well less stress in some ways but I just want to lose the weight honestly for me when it came to my see my battle was weight gain um and that started for me back in 2019 I I'll give you some my way you can have as much well I mean now I'm trying to like kind of maintain um but I will say like the the weight gain Journey for me if I could do it over I would do it over because I I did some things that was stupid I remember making shakes so high in calories so thick so rich that my heart would pound until finally I would puke it up and I can remember what I'll say is like I I just remember doing stupid stuff to try and put weight on and everybody's everybody ever skinny kid's probably been there trying to just do absolutely stupid stuff short term did I get the weight on yes now was a lot of IT muscle no like probably 80 percent of it was fat and I can see that now because I feel so skinny now but I'm actually 10 to 12 pounds heavier than I was at this point last year and I'm you know my you know with hopefully not TMI here but like my waist is a little thinner than it was last year also so let's say my uh yeah I had to buy a bigger pair of pants for my tailored gray suit and now one of the most annoying things that I have to do is readjust my uh sure being tucked in because the pants are way too big for me yeah but that gets annoying 350 pants so it's really annoying that that does get annoying when you do but that's a good thing though I'm happy that it's that way it is like for me I've noticed the same thing same thing I'm like I used to not have to you know my students just take time take a little nicer you know and it is a little harder being leaner but like the my thing is is that I I kind of wish I could do it over a little bit because I will tell you everybody's different and I'm not gonna say this is the gospel I'm just saying that like for people who are gaining away and losing weight the more times that you do it the wrong way the longer you do it the wrong way hard enough the more long-term damage you end up doing because like right now for me to maintain my weight I'm about 160 165 to 168 usually I hover around there or like 163 depends depends what time you weigh me every you know other factors whatever but like um usually like and I lost my trains dang it um at any rate what was I saying sorry this is too late for this what was it my very backtrack here this is bad character America oh anyway it's easier for me to maintain the weight that I'm at that's where I was gone yes it's easier for me to maintain that weight than it was in times past back when I was 16 years old 17 years old it I had to fight whatever little weight I did gain I had to fight really hard to keep it on and not like painstakingly hard but like you know I had to pay I had to actually make sure I was eating whereas now I couldn't I could eat maybe two meals a day and I ain't got to worry about it like I'm just gonna keep the weight on and you know it's the same thing with losing weight gaining weight like anything you do so I can tell you what I say to say what I'm trying to say is that the things that I did have most likely slowed my metabolism down to levels that unless I change some things it's gonna stay pretty slow and as I get older and you know add more stress to my life you know or something like that you know a good stress but like you know bad stresses whatever you know like it's gonna catch up and I might just be 8 000 pounds I don't know but that's just that's that that's what I would say is you know is long term we feel like I I'll just say right now you can get a feeling of events as a young person you can get a feeling of invincibility really fast and health and his diet is one of those things where you can really really Foster a feeling like that and mentality like that really hard so you have to fight against that one of the best ways too is just like you know find the healthy things that you enjoy I think like for me I like that you know if I drink pop like hey I had a regular Coke today but you know what I would say my favorite is probably Coke Zero honestly my favorite pop you know just find something like for you you love Diet Mountain Dew if a dietitian if you ever hire a dietitian and this goes for anybody you hire dietitian and you're a thousand pounds overweight and he tells you to quit drinking diet pop save your money like point blank Point Blank yeah I'm not gonna rant or anything I'm just so good yeah that's what this is for sorry you I can't I went on for a fact no what do you think what are you thinking right now it all makes sense yeah never apologize for going on a coherent uh dialogue that's what cocaine it makes sense people like listening to people who know what they're talking about and people also like watching people get riled up it's it's very entertaining for them um it's very good and uh yeah it makes a ton of sense like just be effective and you know I think that you can always if you ever get to a point where you think that there is no better way to improve yourself or there's no better way of doing what you're already doing that doesn't exist you can always say there's a better way of doing it I don't care what the bad way of doing it is this isn't the gospel I want to know what's the most effective way of doing it for me because my brain works a certain way my body works a certain way and the way that I'm doing it is the most affected by God's grace I've lost over 26 pounds so far I mean there's more out and they're gonna have a deal for the iPhone 15 Pro they're going to take about 2 400 800 to a thousand dollars off with a trade-in which are iPhone 11 will qualify for that is it correct or anything like that I mean there's like like nothing that would like make me feel like I gotta get this thing out of my hands like nah is it a scratch or a crack oh it's just like there's like a couple I can't even see them unless I put them in the light like a couple months as long as it's not a technical correct thing to find um so what you could do is the iPhone 15 Pro is the exact same size as what you have now it's just built differently so you could add a line to your account and um get the iPhone 15 pro it'll cost you to see if you get how much storage do you have on your iPhone 11 . this I think 128 gigs I think okay let's find out so much I used but I think 256 can be the norm maybe around 1200 1400 for the phone but with a thousand dollars off the way they do it is in credits anything but like and I do do generally sometimes like to I like to talk it up with people sometimes if I find them interesting but like another thing is like if you show people that you're a really friendly person and like if you minimize the cost of what they're and David could go way more into this and I could be like if you minimize the cost of what you're selling like like right now it was I'll be like oh you're getting Chick-fil-A Sandwich meal with you know a medium farming Diet Coke and then I'll just tell them when they're finished like I'll I'll talk a little slower so I'll put them in a rush because if they're in a rush whatever yeah you know put my card in but what I'll do is I'll be like okay you know and I'll try and maybe slow my speech down a bit and be like okay and Diet Coke okay any sauces with that like maybe about that speed and I'll sound like really slow and then they'll be like yeah you know I'll change your voice also like hey you know I can actually I'll literally be like hey I can actually just upgrade your milk to a large size for just 84 cents in the bag uh oh yeah sure if you can tell like based on what they've already spent whether they're gonna actually upgrade or not because if they're someone who's like they want the they want the sauces that cost extra like a cheese sauce something like that you're like yeah we got him you know like there's some people like David David will say and David can finish the that can definitely continue this conversation way better than I can but like there's some people you know if you word it right eventually at some point make me a millionaire it's like no no no in my opinion work is work and if you can find a job that you're like 70 percent happy with so it passes with a c and it pays good go taking rejection personally so for instance when you when Eli were talking to me you got the weight gain or the weight loss rather I was giving you objections and you were so passionate about what you were saying and so knowledgeable about what you were saying that no matter what I said you were only interested in overcoming that objection not to try to hurt me or to try to scam me but because you're trying to sell me into going to the gym and um everyone all life is sales you're either buying something or selling something all camps like in the gym it's all sales the guys playing the volleyball the girls looking pretty everyone wants them on self to be valuable why do they look pretty because it makes them valuable it makes them desired why do guys wear suits really because girls like it that's why um so with sales yeah you could do it it is speaking it is doing things and it is taking rejection like a champ if you can know is what you do for a living as a Salesman anybody can hear yes and go on but when someone says what are you talking about I don't want God I want to go up to that large fight you can shut up about that yeah and not taking that personally and moving on that is sales if they told you would give you 50 cents every time you do it you'd do it way more yeah um and then if people told you you shut up with that they get mad at you you don't take it at face value like for instance I'll use myself as a bad example I was wrong and I was taking what Eli was saying at face value and I was taking it personally and I got emotions involved and it wasn't until I went to my dad and he told me some things and I oh chillaxed and was like I need to calm down emotionally disconnect then it was much more effective then I'm like okay cool I mean he's not trying to trap me he's actually trying to help me and as human beings When someone tells us something that we need to change based on something we care a lot about we automatically take it personally even though it isn't meant that way because no one wants their their fat content and how much there's no way to be on to be on like the spotlight that's hard but if you can separate if you can actually can once like when you got on a lot more effective because anything you've been doing it for longer and a little older so you get a lot more effective at conveying that you care you know why I listen to you about weight stuff because you are conveying to me that you care what is sales it is learning about your prospect and conveying that you care what do I do for a living I make cold calls and I get past someone's initial objection because it's just rubbish they're just lying to me and I try to convey to them that I'm not trying to sell them I'm trying to learn about them to see if they if they um if they need what we sell to just set up a conversation that's my whole goal and like with you in these large Verizon things you can think of it however you want but if you think about this as I am removing their needs to spend extra money on another large fry when they're extra hungry so that they can have more money to pay their bills or you can think of it as I'm thinking of a way to uh scam more people out of their money it's one or the other it's 100 percent based on your mindset and your mindset is going to determine your success rate so like with people like hey you want did you want to make that a large fry people maybe not will not even eat the arch drive but they like doing it because it's the almost the social status of I got the large fry I got the large drink I got the uh the chicken sandwich with extra whatever because it makes you feel important it makes you feel valuable and if you convey with your tonality and your body language and your smile they will want to do it every time because they want to please you because you are helping them and giving them value and in return they want to give you some value back sales is is caring people have taken it wrong and they've scammed people and stuff like that but what sales actually is is it is learning about your people and finding a need for what you sell and then if they need it ask them about what their life would be like if they didn't have that back pain if they bought your penicillin and then go from there that is sales and you and your brother anytime you want if you're gonna say David I want to be I want to do a job like you I will dedicate as much time as you want to making it happen anyone can do what anybody can take rejection change the way they speak like I was just thinking earlier today all these guys from Africa Uganda are other countries texting my dad texting me asking for money constantly you know what they would do if they want to make if they would be way more successful send the most enthusiastic person socially to the United States move them to a small town that has a very low cost of living and I would train them to be salesmen and then get them to get them a job making 40 Grand a year or 60 Grand a week or whatever else and then to live on almost nothing and then they can send then they can send the other two thousand dollars plus a month to their home country and it would help and that would be twenty four thousand dollars a year that they're sending after tax and it would help them tremendously more than you know just asking people from beauty yeah is sales it is the care it is not me trying to scam people or so everyone everything overcome any objection no care about what people need people need Chick-Fil-A Why do they go there because Ben and Paul make them feel valuable you make them feel loved and that is why they're there so there I could go on on but there's just a little snippet well you've you've literally said what my Superior has said too is like that's why they've like like Paul got a promotion they've been talking with me about certain things you know regarding like moving up or whatever like that in the company and the main thing is like what you were saying is like it's good for their brand if someone is even besides money if someone's just making the environment good and pleasant like it it is gonna help long-term that business they see that smile and they know it's sincere and maybe other Chick-fil-A workers will go home the cusp they'll drink they'll swear they'll do all the other sins but you actually live what you believe and I believe that Mrs Believers can actually say things and sell things and speak in a more almost genuine way than almost anyone else can I've heard I actually heard someone tell me that too I think it was I'm not gonna say who it was just because like I want to get random people involved and stuff but like he was saying something about that too where it's like he's like he was telling me because he's like I don't think he was saying is like because we were talking about you know like promotions and stuff like that he's not someone who works at Chick-fil-A now but he used to be the good brother he used to work at Chick-fil-A and he was talking about the situation like these businesses he's like they love message kids and it's like that's not like a superiority thing it's just like they they just you know it's you know it's it's God's grace for our lives you know we are what God made us into right you're the result of being raised as a pastor is your your dad is your pastor but the same lebroning and being raised with such high stains we actually live what you believe and you're sincere with all your heart and um that is uh what they see we convey sincerity and genuineness and they can sense rubbish a mile away if someone's not really living with not really meaning what they're saying and it's actually God in us so yeah it's it's you was your brother if you guys ever decide hey we want to try to do this like if you like how much are you going to make as a uh as a um a nurse or whatever when you do it yourself and how long will it take you and it it varies but I'd be all right I'm curious I would be all right and that's the goal um and I'm not gonna again I mean I actually I'm not gonna say what the number ones but I was talking to a nurse in the whole process of nursing school but it's one thing I kind of found out was the one day and y'all who have ever whoever's been to a Chick-fil-A you know like when you're in the dining room like people usually take care of you so it's more just like hey can I grab a refill or even it's like you know just having a nice plus creating a nice pleasant atmosphere and like to me it felt amazing like I'll just say like for me I don't know how I don't know I don't I don't know what aspect it was exactly but just there was the the whole aspect of like the one day my my Superior puts me he's like I'm gonna have you in dining room today I was like are you kidding me at first you know but when I got into it I started like it made people feel so happy it was just a little gestures but it made people talk to and I would just say it's also for the record like council's a good thing I know I'm getting off on a tangent I know we're all joking people like it spiritually you never need to justify I'm doing this just do it yeah it's like I never I'm jumping justify it don't I'm done I'm a wild tangent but like counsel's a good thing like don't be some people are more open I've actually learned this by listening other people I won't say who people are but like I've learned like some people like they have a harder time sharing and that's fine like make sure it's people you trust like ministers and
